  1. If JVR weren’t to come in who’s next? it’s funny but I’d quite like Grundy or Gawn to get a minor niggle and need 3-4 weeks off. I think we’d be better off
  2. I tell you what, it’s going to be exciting when we win a few on the trot
  3. I don’t think wet conditions help us at all
  4. No we played a very similar style. We also kicked poorly and were about 60 seconds from losing that game.
  5. He’s playing to win Premiership’s, he knows the team is better placed with him in it. He’s frustrated and 2 adults can surely have a solid discussion about the situation. Jeez, I have them with folks all the time.
  6. It’s not a poor look at all. I’ll bet my old jeans Oliver wants to keep training and play and he’s being told he can’t. Surely 2 professionals can have a heated discussion or do we now live in a world where raising your voice is no go.
  7. He damages his hamstring then spends 5-6 days in a hospital bed on antibiotics and doing no rehab. He’s 90% better from all reports and watching his training loads. The last 10% can be problematic. He can run and train he just can’t hit the after burners. So no I don’t think it’s any more than that
  8. We have no idea about Oliver’s injury or what extent the infection hampered recovery. Let’s stop pot shotting the club as it’s highly unlikely it’s to do with mismanagement
  9. Could you imagine a forward line of JVR, Brown, Gawn and Schache
  10. Can we not play Jordan FFS. It’s like buying vanilla when chocolate and neopolitan are also in the fridge. Surely one of Woewodin, Howes or Laurie get the call up
  11. I’ve been watching Schache for 6 weeks in the two’s. I hoped, like really hoped, he would help our forward live. I’m not convinced. He’s just not a combative beast that’s required at AFL. Look at JVR, he loves the contest.
  12. Can we pick some bodies who can kick
  13. Which is your stall?
  14. He’s not playing again this year you wouldn’t think
  15. One thing to remain positive about is it clearly shows we have forward half options.
  16. I thought Petty was our defensive forward?
  17. Did you happen to get a coffee or toasted sandwich from the woman with the caravan?
  18. We have 2 first rucks who both have their best spot as first ruck. I’d play them off the bench more and sub one out regularly if I was to play both
  19. Really? You actually believe that a player would hold something over his coach to get a game. Goodwins indiscretions are largely public information anyway
  20. Whilst the ladder might say the season is tight the top 3 is streets ahead of the rest, Melbourne can make that the top 4 by showing us the preseason and early season form over the next month
  21. You can’t play Gawn, Grundy and Brown as forwards. How anyone thinks that’s going to work is beyond me. Like has been said Gawn’s best is as the ruck and playing a kick behind play. Bring JVR in and rest Gawn or Grundy.
  22. Correct it want there. The point was made though that in several occasions we just chose a poor option. So at least the options are there
  23. Just watched Lyon’s analysis on the couch. Our forward connection was there it was just missed or ignored. Such an annoying loss
  24. You can’t take Salem or McVee from defence, they’re simply too good at it. Bowey I’d be happy to try forward
  25. In: Tomlinson, Oliver, JVR, Woewodin out: Harmes, Fritsch, Chandler, Grundy/Gawn. I think we need a few weeks with Petty up forward, Tomlinson down back and only one genuine ruck. It’ll never happen but I’d like to see it. Brown, Grundy and Gawn all in the same side will never work
