Way too early to judge. He’s a natural winger in my book. I think Langford does need to embrace contact and become a mid but he’s got great skills and he’ll justify his selection over time. Lindsay for mine is a mid, not a back in the modern game with so many great small forwards running around. Bowey and hopefully AMW can push him out of defence. Personally I think we’ve seen enough from all 3 to know they have the talent to be great players going forward. Clearly we’ve got defensive issues but for me the signs are more positive than negative. The clubs we’re chasing are all 3-5 years further advanced so drafting and trading are going to be crucial especially with Tassie coming in. Lets just beat Carlton ffs

Any team playing OMac, Wagner and McVee are entirely beatable. Doesn’t me we will but Freo are no world beaters.

Gawn will play big minutes again and Petty will cover as with last week. We're going to keep working on out running the opposition. Gawn V Jackson will be an intriguing battle. Heath and TMac don't offer pace and Freo are fast, it's not the week for them. Sounds like AMW and Xavier Taylor are making strides towards selection...we're in as good a position as we can be atm, we're a chance against Freo but the main thing is we keep improving.

It’s perfectly reasonable for the club to lay that as the minimum expectation, especially now it’s a top 10. Beat the clubs you should beat, beat most of those around you and pinch a couple against the best, there’s 10-14 wins in that. I’m aiming for 6-7th

As you suggest, there’s every chance the MRC are trying to leverage some assistance for themselves as part of the deal.

I wish he’d kicked that goal, he had a good day, reckon King and co. are building his confidence with jobs like that. It was always folly to write off the kid.

We have to defend much better than we did against the Saints. Lever's not getting dropped, TMac's not the answer, we desperately miss Bowey and AMW is likely way underdone. Does Koltyn run with Serong and do we play Heath or watch Max get smashed into by Darcy and jumped over by Jackson? Of course it's unlikely we win but apparently we weren't a chance to beat the saints either......Bring it on.

On Langford, did he get caught out by the speed of ball movement or did the Saints negate him or did he just have a bad day?
