CASEY: Rd 06 vs Box Hill Hawks
Would seem to me he will play a lot liked Fritta. But if he can lead properly he will get some good passes as well.

PREGAME: Rd 08 vs Gold Coast
A real fake news item really. We have won by 50 50odd 62 and 90. And our accuracy has been a large part of those results. What it does say is when we play well out footy is in good shape as we are getting the ball to the front of goals plus getting goals on the run from close in. Tigers Was a 50/50 potential result but instead of kicking the game away like them we again kicked well and the 3 goal margin reflected that again. I am sure many Dees fans can recall over the 50 years especially when we had poor teams we would play like the Tigers well and bravely but we were our worst enemy with conversion and eventually good teams would overrun us with pressure and extra class. Now it's our turn to repay those results and reflect our skill and new found accuracy. Long May it last. They are not looking for Pies downsides just marvelling at their skill etc in close finishes even without more shots as the Crows kicked away the game on Sunday.

PREGAME: Rd 08 vs Gold Coast
I was only saying NOT to bring Salo back "straight in" against what you posted Jaded you are thinking I don't want Salo till after say 3 or 4 games at Casey. Jaded You seem to have moved your goal posts now and want what I really posted. You will recall the disaster last season with Salo and that's what a repeat of should be totally avoided.

Tasmanian AFL Team
Terrible T on front Reduce in size and horrible yellow as well.

20th AFL Team
None of your points make a substantial reason for not having Tasmania nor a 20 the side that may come in time. Tasmania will be more successful because of its football heritage than the GWS and GC. It dares not to fail.

20th AFL Team
What an instantly negative comment. Truthful in part TV a QQ/-/….- but we beat 17 when we were4 the best and GWS and GC have not been the spoilers. Maybe Tassie will be the new love child and win a flag before the two "outcast" AFL mobs. All except the perennial Dockers all other teams have won a Flag as they have come from AFL. The Suns and Giants have not. Tassie will be more productive and footy smart than the rugby states teams and admin wise. We will still be in flag mode most likely in 2027/8 so it's up to us to keep our window open and recent signings are a great sign of our future potential.

Kozzy Pickett Re-Signs for 4 Years
Great news. We have a 4 year window ( or more) and our forward line snd midfield has just been improved. How good is it to have Kossie for another 100 games, 200 plus goals, plenty of snapshots, even more exciting runs kicking goals, 500 tackles, and a couple of medals around all the team's neck. Might even win a B and F as well. All the best Kossie stay fit and have fun. Shouted the house down when I read of your resigning. Thank you for staying. See you at Heritage Bank Stadium on Saturday.

There is a parking area to the south of the Stadium off the Nerang/Broadbeach Rd. Pretty sure you pay as you go into park. It's only $10 I think. Pretty easy to exit after matches end to return same roads you used on the journey there. Might pay just to look on goldcoastfc.com.au website or ring them if any doubts.

CASEY: Rd 06 vs Box Hill Hawks
Fans have queried Fritta's "level of intensity" since he joined the Deesmostly because of his extremely smooth and graceful style plus as a general rule is not as strong tackling or involve pressure in his game. For better or worse players like Fritta are singled out as not competitive and even play in a soft manner. I do not think there are any true Demon fans that NOW subscribe to that especially after Fritta's superb starring 6 goal effort in our fantastic drought breaking 2021 Flag triumph. Now another youngster who is highly skilled and not necessarily physical is being questioned by "armchair experts" many of whom have probably never pulled on a guersey let alone competed at an AFL Club level. Six games in and MJ is on the same journey as JVR and Judd McVee so let him be developed under our very successful system in his own time. Draft recruits are NOT the finished product so let these kids learn and develop at Casey and then we will reap the rewards in the future. Patience is a virtue Trac took a little time, Clarry was ready from Day 1 really and Gawny took an eternity with darts and pizzas the highlights while he rehabilitated from his multiple knee operations. One thing I believe we will be quite happy with MJ when gets his confidence and starts marking (and kicking goals) continually his image will basically change forever.

Nibbler signs 3-year deal
That's one thing ANB is not A PLODDER. Perhaps his role is to cute for some to understand.Stood up to scrutiny in 2021. Down a bit last year but back in the groove this year racking up pressure and distances covered in limiting opposition scores.

PREGAME: Rd 07 vs North Melbourne
Correction the whole team Wasn't just the forward line was a fair portion of the team unfit, others with niggles and a very overall defensive mindset. You should have noticed a lot of changes to personnel, including a more positive game plan and a willingness not to repeat last years fitness errors, this season. Plus Goody's admission that we are a "work in progress" with experiments in the forward line, midfield and even defence. There are some challenges no doubt but we are better placed than in 2022 even if 2 losses behind at this stage. Our list is stronger more flexible and has more ability and depth this year. In addition our final quarters are promising, winning all so far. After the bye our potential best team should be forming and placed in the best positions to give us a real chance to put our best feet forward in the race this year. It's any ones really at this stage and no panic necessary.

Nibbler signs 3-year deal
Now he can start working out how to be Nick Daicos's shadow on King's Birthday. Congratulations Nibbler. You have out done your ability with so many other attributes to become a much loved player and team man in many of our best years. Another flag beckons before you retire. I hope you have been suitably rewarded. PS Just ask Kossie to get things done when he's ready!!

2023 Injury List
That is obviously incorrect or outdated. 934 games missing is far too many with Salo ( not sure but about 150 games in 9/10 seasons having most. There is only about 5 on the list also so would be about 300 inc. Spargy's approx 50/ 60/70 games ?).

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
Wattsy was expected to play a similar role when he was thrust into the team. Play forward and kick goals! That's all I am really comparing the three forwards.

TRAINING: Wednesday 26th April, 2023
Goody clearly stated on the weekend that Salo had had an excellent pre season before his injuries about Round 1 and afterwards. Yes some fitness would be down but not to use your expressions not "half fit or limited game time". Salo would /should have at least 2 Casey games and not be rushed like last year before he was fully fit and ready. He might be available for AFL straight after the bye if 4 weeks is realistic time for resumption in VFL.

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
Agree but his jumping in the last quarter was not just jump and Hope ( as some of his attempts have been in the previous three games) This was some skilled marking process admittedly no Weitering, Wilkie or Moore in the vicinity. BUT his judgement of the ball in each marking occasion was perfect and he second grabbed brilliantly as well. Can't help feeling there is a recycled Jack Watts in his body waiting to come out and play and an almost star in a Jesse Hogan clone whose next disaster is just around the corner. "Rooy" for his youth has a lot going for himself including fearless physicality, plus a huge mentality upside and a total desire to be the one in the pack that gets/marks the ball. His mind seems perfectly at ease in his environment, anywhere in the 50m arc where he can line up and score. And his greatest asset above all might well be I believe is his effect on the team, opponents and the crowd when he marks. It's not just an ordinary mark it's a 7.5 to 10 in style skill and achievement. It will have great positivity to his teammates, us in the crowd and be a real weapon and promote feel good vibes everywhere. Bring it on Jacob!! His "coming out" on Monday night reminded me of Jesse Hogan introducing himself to the footy world also on the same stage back in 2016. After Wattsy and Hoges I think we now have the right star who will be shining for over a decade under the lights or in the afternoon sun, and hopefully in September rain as well.
