  1. Sorry there was info around about the Bulldogs being involved and thought it was what Jay Clark would be mentioning. BTW I hope Port aren't doing this to try and sweeten us about Kossie to go to them. Never know do we!!
  2. Bulldogs possibly through Freo trades and if Tommo ends up going to Dogs that is tied in to possible deals.
  3. This topic should be joined with "Welcome to Melbourne JVR" shouldn't it?
  4. Agree FT also as a winger for variation
  5. Not a good year also for Jake L he kept getting "ankle issues in the play early in the first quarter" but stayed on the ground snd after the bye always was still selected! Form did suffer IMHO.
  6. The off season still is important for recruiting Drafting players and delisting plus injury surgeries and rehabilitation. It doesn't mean we should be deprived of information or updates on any matters. we thrive on this info and it makes us look forward to next season do much more!!
  7. What players gradings ( draft pick no's) are are what the Clubs and gurus think. In reality I am saying over a period of time thats not what the order plays out. Down the track judgements change due to performance. I don't know the current draftees well enough to grade them sorry.
  8. About the top tier of players to no 5 and 6 picks running out. You are entitled to your view but I don't agree and believe history is not that clear cut.
  9. Part of JJ is that he is not forceful enough about moving the ball and Spargs leads are probs oh so quiet he doesn't give enough sound or direction to the kicker. The Lachesis should be over all this and change it instantly.
  10. *Cadman also was handy rucking up forward esp in last term when others were getting tired. Tske Ashcroft out of the Metro and Country could have won this by 2/4 goals in my opinion. Their goalkicking was not as sharp as Metro also.
  11. Thought we hung in last week bravely without Tayla especially but vs Saints and North after 1/4 time we bungled our shots at goal as you said. Let's see if we straighten up and our forward line can become a real strength in the next 2.3 weeks. I still believe the loss of Krystal Petrevski hurts us both in 2022 and this season 7. We need a small buzzing busy forward with goal sense to complete our forward line.
  12. I'll back Bowey to get more balls and at a direct and fast method find a teammate more often than Jayden. However that's not to say I want Jayden to leave he still has some currency in our elite backline plans in 2023 I would assert.
  13. Agree made this same point in post a few days ago. Tommo is a tall defender and at 194cm he and Turner are competing. However the role that lately ( since 2021) in our elite defence by Hibbo has basically been mid height forwards eg Dusty and smalls Cameron and Pspley. We should be looking for who is going to replace Hibbo? Smith J. Rivers Hunt Brayshaw Jordon. Because Turner ( or JVR at times ) are our next KPD's. Unless we drop Tmac back! Especially if Petty goes forward!
  14. Redleg All you replied was about an injured player but you did not name a defender. And that IMO had nothing to do with your separate post on Toby bring tried as a defender. Is the injured defender Joel Smith BTW ? Also in your Bowes posting you name 5 players you want delisted? Really that won't happen and contains no common sense. I do agree however that Bowes and pick 7 would be a good trade for us to get involved but not 5 players maybe ONE.
  15. Because our SCttee and Coach ignored his good form at Casey in the QUAL Final. (was named in our best and Jake had over 25 possessions and I saw everyone of those quality touches.) Just because he wasn't selected doesn't make your opinion any more right in my eyes, Kent. Another example of very conservative selection and playing players with some injury issues.
  16. One person in this forward mix we must not underrate snd that is JVR. I am going to watch the video of the Casey Demons GF win again and if he doesn't have about 10/12 touches snd 7/8 don't end up as score involvements I'll be very surprised. The truth is he handpassed he tapped in the air and along the ground and he went for his high marks and the ball occasionally ended up in our favour. BUT he had about only 2/3 shots at goal and no goals. However in a score of 10.10 .70 his strike rate of 7 score involvements and three shots at goal and the rain snd mud etc. he has played a Tommy Mac role in the VFL at the top old age of 18/19. Not in our best six/ seven in the paper but I bet the AFL back room boys and Mark Corrigan are pretty bullish about his future. So if JVR rises to The VFL from Round1 2023 he IMO will create opportunities that only a Tmac does for our forwards and get a modest initial total of goals for himself through his team play and clever 1 % ers BBB and Maxy don't do. In other words he will add to Fritta and Kossies footy smarts as touches fro these 3 forwards mean goals or score involvements you our total. The lad can lead as well which is a bonus. Our Forward Cup has gone past half full so let's just see if at some stage when JVR gets his chance that some of the above "magic" will start to happen. Fifth 2022 ???? 2023 with JVR and Harry Petty forward!!!
  17. Absolutely with Tmac doing some heavy lifting high marking and 65/70 crumbs (goals)for the Kossie Chandler world. Cameos for Maxy and Brodie as well.!! Fritta might even top 60 plus with all this talent for the opposition to mind. A weakness becomes a strength.!
  18. Well history proves you are wrong !!
  19. Chookrat you have asked about Clarke and Fagan's reputations. Firstly have you read about the harrowing and mentally challenging effects already bestowed upon the players and families that have played out? There will need be proof to back up there evidence so far so I don't presume your " made up things story " will be the result you envisage. Consider this if the result goes the other way ie not made up but apportion of guilt Or no effective result then all will be in the same boat with no satisfactory closure? The AFL better sharpen their responses up to racial matters as they have ignored or taken no action at the others basically ie Goodes, Pies, And Crows. Sorry to add more complications CR but your post was very flimsy and underwhelming re consequences which are mostly and generally two sided! Lastly like all others who are judged innocent after legal complexities they will move on or perish depending upon their mental strength. There are more avenues of assistance now for help if needed. Jo hi Thank goodness. And if there is guilt then I imagine there is a community course and advice to uptake or attend to be more aware of inappropriate actions if they wish to continue at some stage.
  20. The consequences have already been highlighted by bringing these matters out in to the open. Livelihoods have been effected for all to see already. Your only looking at this from one side. Yes both sides will have their day in the commission that's being setup but consequences work on both sides remember before or after legality or the decision making is finalised. There may very well be no winners from this sporting tragedy, especially if there are no learnings by the AFL (and it's Clubs ) from the Adam Goodes, Adelaide Camp and Pies "do better" cases. BTW there has been no dispute in these past cases in the AFL about the level of racism and hurt created so I am very surprised at the numbers here Querying the honesty in the present case. We only need to look at the racist comments Kossie has faced so far in his career that no one seems to invent these actions of a racist nature.
