POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs West Coast
Saw every 3rd quarter minute of Gus's heroics from 20 rows back in front of me. We saved that game only allowing 2 goals to the Dogs in the first 15 minutes. From Harmes's prodigious pass to Fritta, bang bang bang etc we won the game in the next 15 mins three goals each side of Gus's dead eye shot. That third quarter by Gus ( and all our players ultimately ) contained every good quality in life and sport that the Brayshaw family have given their offspring and we as Demons are bloody lucky to have them as a family taking home care of our high draft picks and others in development. Gus is a product of course and his care of his teammates on and off the field is also exemplary. He is without doubt in our Top10 player category every year for all these reasons snd probably plenty more.

CASEY: Rd 03 vs Frankston
Fordham at his age is NOT what we would look for. Think Hunter !! A proven A grade player not a VFL near retiree. Harmesy I think has his own issues as he overrates himself too much. This year in the practice game/s he looked unhappy and argumentive with others. Of course he may have other problems in his life also we are not aware of. Hope he sorts them out with our support. I think JJ was unlucky to be dropped but our list is so competitive. I was thrilled with JJ vs Swans a much more attacking and fluent footballer who looked much improved. It would be a shame after all these years if he doesn't make it. Goody does have history burning some blokes but gee we are gathering some potential players at Casey who are starting off red hot this year. Lawrie Howes D. Turner Dunstan Jefferson AMW Sestan are all looking as improvers in four games!! JVR is proving that our handling is correct in his development. These players show why we don't need the Fordhams of the VFL world. Some of these are going past Joel Smith as potential AFL prospects if he does not get fit and have a crack at it this year next year will be too late for him! Happy for the comments now??

Cannot understand the comment about Liam Jurrah turning 6 goal games into 4!! Could the person who posted or commented on that please explain?

Flower should only be picked in teams prior to 1987. Stynesy and Tod Viney earlier than very early 2000's.

So you would turnover our list JJ at the end of this season for 25/26/27 yo??? in favour of a five year older ( mature age option) prospect in Fordham? That's exactly how not to build a list at AFL level. Perhaps you should look out for a new snack to replace the bacon and egg rolls !! I have heard the 2006 Chicko Roll still has that same flavour and has lasted well for 17 years in the freezer. Grab em while they are still around under Health condition rules!!!

Please name who Laurie D.Turner Howes and AMW are going to replace in the seniors ? Laurie for Bowey ? Disco for Stephan May? Howes for Ed Langdon? AMW for ANB ? Satisfied that all will be well if these changes are made on the next round or two.

Ticketing 2023
Not all of these tickets we're "Restricted View " applies. Hopefully D/Lers read the MFC website email information if they were keen on going OR maybe some just gave up when they read about the "restricted view applies" as above. Despite the very honest attempts to .provide accurate information for DLers by D/Lers I use and generally and universally trust the official Club email and other media forms. The exception is from the Demonland posts which generally reports TV and radio plus print media and are reliable and trustworthy. info from our posters is in effect a full range of a dogs breakfast up to a fine supper. But in Oz we have a choice to take a risk or not. I love Demonland for the huge range of footy views, and so many other posts on the greatest Club we all love. If D/Lers are keen to post info to help others please double check your facts or put a spoiler for them to double check.

Welcome to Demonland: James Jordon
He has been to a Chocco and JJ finishing school and is a very valued 5th or 4th member of our midfield. Credit to him he has been patient and he is now skilled and more polished under pressure. Deserves a new contract of 2/3 years as his best footy is starting to be just ahead of him.

PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Sydney
Was ok in 2021 Gawn Brown and Tmac. And Gawn no longer for 5/6 matches. Fritta agsin needs to stand up and clearly JVR will play the second ruck role playing say 25 to 33 % of time on the ball and forward or bench otherwise. Tmac must be the Sub. Also some mids must play blinders and others flankers contribute more than last week, ie no passengers when we panicked and our game plan became non existent. Can't do the lights out trick to change momentum at the G so full on running and movement the order of the day.

Rooey's Debut!!!
Inside info ? Brain fade ? Or just guessing? Tmac should be before dropped placed in defence and HP given a few games up forward to take the pressure off himself end free him up. JVR is the ideal 2nd ruck spot sharing about 25/33% with Brody and resting up forward. His performance last week at Casey was very strong ( BTW Dee Spencer your stats from last week were incorrect) From 11 marks and 19 disposals he deserves finally to debut in the team and be let loose using his marking and competitive skills to our advantage. If he kicks some goals as well they will be a bonus at this stage. Never spoil the truth with your opinion Dee to try and make a good story. Or something like that. Wonder how good JVR will be in 2 years?

Rooey's Debut!!!
You could have wished him well or congratulated him. You can only do your best and be promoted. It's great for the fans to get excited and he will know he has support from them. They will thank goodness be more positive than you and be parting the excitement. Oh sorry AFL isn't to get excited about one must be solemn in case he under performs.

Rooey's Debut!!!
Agree TSD MJ will be the star FF I reckon Rooey will play all over the forward line and on the ball for short spells and kick plenty to ensure he gets us over the line in the future. Add maybe Sestan in 12 mths with his goalkicking and skilled forward work plus Kossie hopefully. Sounds very dangerous for goalkicking goals!!!

Rooey's Debut!!!
If D/Lers read my posts earlier in the week about what role he should be doing if he debuts. I indicated he should be doing the 2nd ruck role ( really it is the third) in 2022 but we are back to Brody first ruck and Tmac struggling to make an impression as a forward ruck so really it's best if JVR is given some free reign to play tha Weid role that Sam couldn't because he did not have the physical and mental capacity to grab or grip the footy in a contest consistently. Entirely different set of skills that JVR possesses to make a fist of it. He has the marking ability the never say die attack to mark the ball and he follows up like a Clarry disciple to ensure that ground opportunities are not wasted. I say Binman take the pressure off him with one opponent and let him roam for 1/3!of his day doing what he did last week, taking marks and repelling attacks, and also the forward zone he took some as well and converted. I did warn that all Dees fans want to see is JVR kick goals but he should be developed with the run on ruck then he will be prepared for a breakout career in attack rounding his whole game out as he learns and Jones his craft. Good luck Roooy!!! BTW don't be surprised if this is not a giant incentive to Matty Jefferson who is starting to specialise in his marking and gaining more confidence. I am not sure he will need the whole season before he is demanding he be given an opportunity to debut. He is freakishly talented and holding him back may not be the way to develop him. Let this wild horse run and mark free and let's see where it takes him. we won't have the oldest team ever much longer if this pair can make a good start to their careers with the mighty Dees. Our forward line may well be a real strength in the near future thanks again to the fantastic work of JT and TL and their team/s. Cant wait till Sunday to see this debut and the excitement it will generate in the crowd who may well be a thousand or three larger than duly expected.

Harrison Petty - KPF in 2023
Really McVee needs a rest ! What makes you think that. ? 2 games in our fitness staff would resign if a player had to be managed after 2 rounds after a rest brfoure the season started. Please maybe you have a rest as well with a weird post like this.

The other thing is Dees fans are not great at pre booking. We have never had to really and this May reflect in total walk ups of Round1 and this season.

Ticketing 2023
You said all the other tickets that weren't sold prior to Round1 and obviously missed the mark! It could happen again even if the GP is on. Reckon 40,000 might get there.
