Sad to see one of our very best gone. But many memories of him as a true champion for our older fans. Saw the Cup triumph last year so fitting for him. Vale Noel McMahon

CHANGES: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
IN Dunstan, Laurie in, Tommo in and( Petty to CHF ) possibly Rivers to give run and drive off HBF. OUT Clarry inj Bedford omit manage (rest ) Bowey for a game to freshen up. Sparrow needs more time on ball. Need to try changes at this stage against Dogs and Power. Maybe run Salem on ball for few mins each quarter or get him up forward.

CHANGES: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
Not really only in bursts and when 9 and 12 play well they get or are involved in goals. Hunty is s nearly player and is very unlucky and probably should be our med sub.

Wrong If Tex doesn't play in the same style as Tmac I'll go he. He is a better lead than Tommy but competes and brings chances to other forwards through competitiveness and to himself via marking. To say he doesn't fit our game style is ridiculous as a style is developed to make the best use of the parts within. The prime reason this post is developing is our desire for our forward line to lead us to another flag and the debate is really going off with some holier than thou DLers showing their collective racist or social views dictating the discussion. We love Stephen May because he is our own and is a premiership player damn fine club man and if he was 5 years younger a walk up start for future Captain or VC but he has sinned twice at least and we have forgiven him. Reminds you of Tex a bit eh? For the possible improvement to our forward line the issue is whether you believe Tex can add 2/3 goals to the scoreboard each week without permanently or even remotely polarising the Players. The side issues I believe will with our culture be taken care of. PS I am not even a Tex fan but if he can better our Club let's believe in him. Tyson Stengel says Hi!

What a stupid comment.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Agree with your Hogan comparisons regarding replacement players but now no Jesse is really hurting us ( when you think about it) as our forward line is our weakest link. ( not all the time however). Completely disagree with you about Jacko not being a competitive beast. You either haven't watched elite sports persons and/ or athletes or you completely misjudge the off field character of LJ and his on field determination. In fact if I were LJ I would be utterly devastated about your opinion. Name when he has not tried his best and to say he won't fulfill his potential because he can relax differently to other players is nonsense. We don't have to walk around for our whole career with a clenched fist and never smile to prove we are determined and using all our ability to be a winner on the field. Perhaps you were never around when Jim Stynes or Robbie Flower won our B and F or Hall of Fame recognition.

Why not get an "AFL" type ( ruckman) who us better than a VFL? We are in the Avenue of attraction for a Flag so don't hold back let's get the best available. Same as a KP forward, free agent if available then if not a recognised forward player from another AFL Club.

NOT Taylor Walker
She wants to watch him train once a week at Casey Fields, and maybe play there also !!! Get her a bus to the G if Tex Makes it at the Dees Plus a cheeseboard and the premiership Shiraz or the Demon Gin.

NOT Taylor Walker
Bluey you are correct completely. I'll barto is wrong. Let's get in board or into bed whichever is more fruitful with the Texan and love him as one of our Demon youngsters if he improves our team.

You are talking of the Pedo of today!!!! Ffs. Be real. Sam will contribute and play a team role to get us over the line.

CHANGES: Rd 17 vs Geelong
We don't rest players Tony ! Goody doesn't do that so Trac who just hit form and confidence and kicked goals and Hibbo won't be rested.

Are you for real ? Today a back up ? Get Jamar White and Spencer in training for a real retro look!! Pedo was a great team player and trier but not a first ruck replacement in a premiership team!!

Farewell Luke Jackson
Sick and tired of the word of some D/Lers with Jacko as "potential" . Clearly he will be a better player as he gains more experience but Jacko is a serious player NOW in a premiership winning team. There would only be about 3 to 5 other ruck players in the AFL now that we would consider as a fair replacement for him if he leaves. He has helped our team by direct play on the ball change a number of games in his first 50 AFL outings the highlight being the GF last year in the third quarter. He is a serious and talented player now and not just "potential " who has a serious X factor with agility, ground ball and extraordinary midfield skills plus the ability to score goals and be a real team player in each game. His ruck craft will be stronger and more competitive no doubt once his body matures but make no mistake we will miss him greatly if he decides to leave NOW (or in the future ). Let's hope he stays for a couple more years or all his career for some more flags and success. He is a serious player now about 3/4 complete not just a potential star to be dreamed about into the distant future.

Membership Tally 2022
Agreed RD last year we signed up 1/2,000 around or before Finals time but no GF guarantees are open this year but other Finals at the G are still a big lure.

Just as in this frame hopefully Dogga is following Clarry on a contract extension. Well done Clarry and MFC. Ensures we will be in a window for 5/8 years at least especially if we keep Dogga for a few years. Congtats Clarry you are probably going to be the greatest Demon ever by 2030 ( or Trac) or someone else like Dogga if he stays long enough. Maybe Could trigger off Angus and Dogga deals sooner than expected Go Dees our bad weeks are gone and sunshine ahead in 2022.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND: DANIEL TURNER
Great news. Looked a player ( just like Petty did) from his highlights reel and hasn't disappointed at all. Great effort to impress with only One pre season and to break into the best defence in the AFL. Will be interesting to see if he can win a spot in the backline ( in competition with Tommo) as we may need for team balance to look at Harry Petty up forward this season to bag that flag. Looks like he could be a fan favourite with a nickname "Disco". All the best Dan get over your injury and go for it over the next few weeks!

Oh boy oh boy RD take your "OD" hat off please. He would get rid of 13,000/15,000 members now you don't want any more !!

Caro Verbosis Interruptus
That's a matter of opinion HT that you don't like her standard but it doesn't alter her career title one little bit. I happen to believe she is one of the better sports journalists of her time. Better than Kornes Barrett and plenty of others including Sam McClure. I rate Eddie McQuire with her for accuracy ( she at least checks out and substantiates most of her articles) but he tries to railroad and speak over all others continuously to get his opinion heard. Martin Flanagan is a cut above most and his books lend proof of that.

Don't think Angus is "returning home" as such. He is playing in his home state now. Whenever has the home factor been involved it's with his brother who moved from Vic. To play with Freo. His father may have lived in WA and I am unsure about the Brayshaws WA an Vic years except that they are a damn fine family and Angus is of that stock as a footballer and person.
