    1. Gawn ( BOG in 3 of last 4 games) 2. Brayshaw 3.Clarrie 4.Trac 5.May 6.Bowser Hon Mentions Viney BBB Bedford Tmac
  2. And we have been responding every time every where ever since! One day like Bowser on a losing side we won't but just don't do it in a Finals game please.
  3. Another great example of our coaching development panel and role playing selection that we have now got at our disposal. And player involvement also. Hark back to 2020 and his forward flank days. He is almost unimaginable now in competitiveness body contact and fearless team defense. One day Goody will switch Jayden back up forward and how interesting that might be.
  4. Chandler is further away IMO now than last year as Bedford has surpassed him. BUT let's not get too warm snd cosy and say that either Kossie or Spargo or even ANB should be dropped for Toby despite his excellent team play yesterday. Showed some great skills in his goals and that pick up that BBB eventually goaled from was pure class. One season of 25 games and 7 this year are excellent brownie points to base a spot in the team for all three. Of course sometimes someone is going to be unlucky like our tall forwards or defenders fighting for positions. It will keep the players on their toes and us fans alert as well. Good competition to have as no one will go stale.
  5. Agree Weid has taken about 8/10 strong round the grounds marks this year, most up on the wing, in addition to his goals and points marks. Definitely a clone of Jacko's. Tmac is a cleverer all round footballer who does clear paths and gets balls dropped for other forwards and is generally busier than Sam. Another poster said correctly that point along the ground Tmac would have nailed and also a flying shot bs Tigers I thought Tommy would have got that. But Sam is a much better player snd team contributor this year, it's fascinating to watch our talls in action. One in action is a giant Maxy is getting better and better and is so motivating to the team. Watching the replay afterwards BBB annoyed me as he went for marks one handed all night not using his right arm ( think it was this one). I suspect he had a shoulder issue maybe but not a good look.
  6. It probably won't cost Tmac his place but it was bazar really and Toby was 3 metres away who probably didn't think to yell out "leave it". Another more senior player might have. Also Tmac has more brownie points than any other forward in shepherding goals through ( GF Tommy Sparow and a recent one in earlier round). Are prime examples.
  7. Your old chestnut Garbo Give it a rest. Fritta does have an off game where he contributes less but the next 2/3 games is a 2/3/4 goal contributor He is our best forward and creates like he did with Bedford last night. He is a match winner even when he does not contribute goals. Like Spargo I don't think he will be dropped any time soon. But it's good that Yoby got some hoals and looks very much at home with the pace of the game.
  8. Throwing in the steak knives such as Clarry Trac JackV Lingers Maysie Rick Dogga Kossie BBB Salo Bowser ANB Gus Riv Tmac etc. who are pretty good to watch also.
  9. Clearly the umpire has assessed this action and as Dunkley actually drove his head in to a virtually stationery Crows player's midriff/groin and although ducking is considered illegal he has not awarded a free to the Crows because it was not a dangerous action as it did not constitute taking out the legs in this case so no danger occurred either way. In doing this I believe that he has correctly judged that in this case this is not a dangerous action by the Crow or Dunkley but the free should have gone to The Crow as it should have been deemed holding the ball as no dangerous action was involved. ( AFL speak until an injury occurs after incident happens later in the year) Setting a precedent has not been cast in stone as a result as we all know that if Dunkley had been injured a free would 95% have resulted. I disagree that this piece of play resembled the Schache incident as I recall He was bending down to pick up the ball and run into forcefully by O'Keefe who was moving swiftly and unable to stop. The AFL should however address this matter to the PLAYERS not the Umpires. Mitch Robinson was given a week when his action was deemed ( wrongly) as forceful and Willie Rioli was freed when he took his eye off the ball jumped in mid air and made contact! A far more dangerous action the fact was that Matt Rowell is a chunky strong young man and somehow avoided any serious damage.

Possibly behind the picket fence in North........!!! Perhaps should have described as Weid not being minded all day with the same opponent. His ruck skills are reasonable but it's his marking around the ground at times that he impresses in this role.

The number of games to watch has been the same ( except bye rounds) for 20 years plus!! Mot sure when Fox started but it's simple don't watch other games and Thursday night have a bite to eat at the ground. Also psychologically it's now a night that is used in sport so either get used to it or miss out.

Rod I have been saying that about Weid fur 12 mths he needs to be set free . That way he goes for the ball without an opponent and generally takes good marks around the ground. As you say then he fired up more down forward. What we can say is that Viney Lever and T Mac are all good footballers. You generally don't go backwards with ability, Toby is still finding his way but I think his confidence will be up and feel very positive about him. Hope he goes well. He still has about 19 premiership players around him to assist also.
  15. Yes I concur. I even went back last Sunday for a second hold and photos as I was not happy with the photos of myself on the first occasion. What the Cup symbolises is pride, excellence in achievement, and a journey by all supporters like no other which means so much after such a long time. Our players and staff under the circumstances are immortals who will be even prouder for the history making journey that they have undertaken. Achieved in an utterly disorganised season by the pandemic our Cup will even grow in stature by the football public along with history and evolvement of time.
  16. Well don't make lighting of a serious situation that affects players staff fans snd families. Your comment was not appropriate as any one reading your comment would ask What did they do to get Covid? And immediately lay blame. Clesrly you are not a comedian Loges .

    Agree LH
  18. You don't know the circumstances so don't be so judgemental. There are plenty of people who have contracted Covid who have not necessarily done anything wrong. There was never going to be the scenario that we wouldn't lose some staff and players due to this pandemic now that thugs have opened up even more. Loges perhaps you could go back in your underground cave and we will ring you when it's safe to circulate. It's disappointing but we have 2 players returning for 3 at this stage and list wise Hibbo is now available so overall at this stage we are no worse on the playing list but coach down. Time will tell if more damage but let's hope not .
  19. Probably can't determine that 7 days from when discovered.

Results will have to be performed to earn that 640 but we are starting to look like a very good impostor of that great era's teams. I believe 3 flags in 4 years and say 75/80% wins in those 4 years would equal the 1954/60 teams effort of 5 flags and 2 runners up. Thats because the AFL now has 6 more teams and it is harder to do and more competitive now than in the 60's. Just the same as 5 in7 years vs 4 in a row was harder as in 1920's/30 with 3 uncompetitive teams North Hawks and Dogs just starting AFL journeys.

Was 41 pts in the end but game not decided till about 21 mins in last quarter. Hawks are in rebuild snd still was a promising effort with injury bit rich to call a belting when so competitive. That's what Dees used to do occasionally when in rebuild 1, 2, 3 and 4 over 57 years. What the Tigers did miss out on was a belting !!! 31 scoring shots to 14!!!
  22. Hibbo has not been slow at any of his footy with us other than for one season 2020. His talent is very good at most skills in the game and thsts enabled him to be a warrior like in the Finals year. I don't discount the speed of both Hunty and Smithy in closing speed and that is special but not a must play attribute that keeps them in the team. Hunty played just best game defensively in his 100th vs Tigers and he was most unlucky on the season to miss out with injury. Smithy had improved a lot from last year but still has the brain fade and footy nous Clanger so that only he can produce. To be fair they are rarer and rarer these days and credit to him and the coaches as he is getting an injury free tun he deserves to make a fist of it. We are so fortunate to have all three who each brings different skill sets for us to enjoy and appreciate along with the AA others snd youngsters Petty Bowey and Riv. Under 10 goals a game conceded is extraordinary considering our availability this season. Coaches take a bow please
