When he was drafted there were lots of posters with the "if we can get him right for 2021 it'll be fantastic" viewpoint. A Delayed season due to COVID-19 altered this a bit for some. Happy with the way he's being managed. It's also hard to get into this team at times - ask Hunt/Bedford etc.
-
Hope Kozzie remains in the team, I know he's not very prolific at this stage but I do think he's beneficial even when not touching the ball. He drifts in and out of space very well and pulls a defender with him, even some of the goals he's scored have had very good off the ball movement in the lead up. Sounds like conditions may favor this.

on a side note with a Night GF it'll reduce the drunken confusion post Grand Final of what to eat and where to go next.

Nice little test-run of for future twilight grand finals for the AFL too.

Question: How long is Burgo signed up for?
-
Sounds like Hunt is deserving of a call up from some of the reviews they posted of practice games.

Tough on Fritta, bold move from the club in a must-win game. Disappointing I won't be able to spam my mates with Bayley Fritzl propaganda

Curious who'd get that spot if Hore wasn't crocked

FC PREUSS
-
If he doesn't get it this year, if rosters are being reduced then i fear he'll be stuck Bradmanesque.
-
don't think he'll slide too far down given this
-
Hopefully Preuss eats some people. FC PREUSS LIVES ON Hoping he has worked on his marking though, had some clangers last year.
-
at times like this I wish the AFL added an extra interchange option instead of having shorter games. Would be easier to bring in Preuss that way. Have enough pinch-hitting options though, curious to see who we go with

As the old saying goes, you wait ages for a bus and then two come along at once

wears a longsleeve - tick

Agreed. Think Hunt should be retained due to versatility and that he can offer something going forward.

Several clubs need a big man, surely we can do better than that.

What they're saying down at Arden Street

Must hold some of our early 2010s team in high regard. -
Has There Been A Better Recruit This Year Than Langdon?
roy11 replied to WERRIDEE's topic in Melbourne Demons
Very impressed with Langdon, his kicking a little iffy but they knew that when the traded for him. His running and involvement has been fantastic recently. Early signs but looks like Footy Department had a good year bringing in the Trades/Draftees -
Preuss trade not the worst move IMO. With no Hogan/Pedersen they probably didn't want play Tmac/Weid in the ruck in event that Maxy went down. Either way, now we have some decent trade bait as several teams could do with him. Tyson no big loss given similar players.

Round 5 Headline: Round 5 Injury Update | Preuss ready to return Get up to date with Melbourne’s injury news ahead of Round 5 By Ben Gibson on Jun 30, 2020, 1:18pm Braydon Preuss, who has been sidelined with an Achilles injury, will look to get some minutes under his belt in the club’s practice match, as he takes to the field for the first time since returning from isolation. LJ, Tmac, Weid, Preuss - even Tomlinson - have the options to replace. Good thing we're playing the bottom 2 sides. As mentioned above, may offer some good unpredictability
-
Ok, so Tomlinson was signed to run up and down the MCG on the wing. I think the selection committee has taken this too literal, as we are now no longer playing at the G and he isn't being selected.

2020 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
roy11 replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I wonder what will happen at GC if lists are cut given their assistance package allowed for additional rookies etc. -
Let's just enjoy these Jaguar Fierce moments of the week as I don't envisage them returning next year
-
I did enjoy watching Bedford and Pickett in Round 1 (despite the scoreline), wouldn't mind seeing that again.
