  1. I have re-read my message and it is a little ambiguous and i cannot edit it. Just to be 10000000% clear i'd be relucant to - play kids against Collingwood when we can damage their season NOT id be reluctant to negatively impact Collingwood's season.
  2. Moore deserved punishment for the knee BUT they also cleared Hugh Jackson for his knee on Zorko, so they're at least being a little consistent here. Both deserved punishment however.
  3. I'm conflicted. A lot of soccer clubs give academy prospects a debut game in the last home game of the season if there is nothing left to play for. Give them a touch experience, which i do like. BUT for us - we are playing Collingwood last game of the season, and if we can impact their finishing position id be reluctant to do so But whether he is ready or not is up for him to prove in the build up, if he has a bad game, it will be long be forgotten before March 2026. Also is Luker is reading this i will now refer to him as Lurker Kentfield.
  4. I'll be in GA with a Saints supporting pal, i hope we win so i can watch him suffer. But alas i feel it may be me doing the suffering.
  5. Essendon will prob have 3 picks in the first 10-12 (adjusted for free agency compo and nga) Their pick, our pick and the likely Sam Draper compo pick. They've had 4 rising star nominations this year, so think they'll happily trade 2 picks for Reid? That could leave West Coast with Picks 1, 2 (Oscar Allen Compo?) and 2 other early picks. Not bad for a rebuild.
  6. I think we need a mature key forward to help usher in the new fellas. So whilst possibly short sighted there are benefits regardless of who the old timer is.
  7. We’re not the only club to ask the question
  8. Just saw this is being heard on Wednesday, plenty more juice to squeeze out of this one for the afl media then.
  9. Coaches Votes Carlton v Melbourne10 Kysaiah Pickett MELB 6 Jacob Weitering CARL 6 Patrick Cripps CARL 4 Matt Carroll CARL 2 Lachie Cowan CARL 1 Trent Rivers MELB 1 Charlie Curnow CARL at least we all love KP
  10. Jacko and Nibbler both killing it today. Hoping we can start nailing trades again for an instant hit
  11. Although there will be legal costs, assume we don’t have an appeal fee at least?
  12. admittedly I only really know MFC team, is the 2025 fixture kinder to us? I think i recall last year's being a bit unfair with our opponents.
  13. Reason I am missing the game this weekend is to see these lads, last saw them in 2005
  14. coaches votes too. I try ignore anything that footy media says between Monday morning and Thursday afternoon because it's just crying for attention.
  15. Hopefully its him bandaged up from the GC game
  16. OUT: Me - attending a concert. Will be checking my phone regularly, think i still have PTSD from attending the last 3 games where we lost by a combined 7 points.
  17. Me seeing DISCO and TRAGEDY in the same sentence But in all seriousness, crappy situation but a good read., Glad the club went above and beyond for him as well. Glad Disco is pumping
  18. Jeffo needs a larger body too. Definitely some positive signs in terms of forward half movement and marks. Just needs to nab a few more goals and the year on a high. And hit the ground (and weight room) running hard in 2026.
  19. A lot of this thread is very premature. "Can we talk about Kolt" - Yes "Can we make a determination on Kolt (Whether positive or negative) in his second year playing a certain role in an underperforming team after having a limited pre-season" - No, not really
  20. Coaches Votes Melbourne v North Melbourne10 Christian Petracca MELB 6 Jake Melksham MELB 5 Max Gawn MELB 4 Harry Sheezel NMFC 3 Bayley Fritsch MELB 2 Colby McKercher NMFC Thoughts?
  21. sounds like they may have some good young fellas?
  22. It is improving a little over the course of the season, but still too many floated ball and not enough driven one. Invites pressure/trouble especially on a quick transition.
  23. Almost 50 days since our last win, we get up and snap a 5 game losing streak but now we have 4 new pages largely writing off a young player playing his 17th game for the club. Wasn't the greatest performance by any means but we're not doing anything this season, give him some time and a proper pre-season before you get the swords out.
  24. I see Charlie Comben is back for North, we kicked it to him 4124 times earlier in the season. Hopefully they avoid this tactic this time.
  25. There isn't a lot of future playing TC but playing him may increase team performance - which in turn would benefit the younger generation.
