  1. Yep, Imagine one goes in the summer Wouldn't blame either of them for wanting a regular gig though. Bedford had some good moments, Chandler waiting to really take his chance but he's been a bit unlucky.
  2. Think I recently read that certain WA areas were having stronger price growths than Sydney/Melbourne and with better value for $ etc So a solid investment for him whether he stays or not. If he goes he goes, we'll get something in return - might not end up being as good short or long term as LJ may become BUT LJ helped us break the drought so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ cant begrudge him for chasing that paper
  3. Enjoyed this reply, in all he gloom in the thread it reminded me that we are a 'strong Vic club' aha!
  4. Yep, Freo would have a bunch of untouchables but i'm sure they would have some players on long term deals that they may be willing to offer to get LJ on board (if they want him that bad). Need to ask the questions to get the answers (even if it appears unlikely)
  5. Seems BBB and Gus not too bad, which is good as needed vs WB
  6. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/albums/1176115/training-gallery-july-19?modal=true&type=gallery&playlistId=1176115&playlistSize=19 Interesting pick up, if you go to the end of the gallery there are a few photos of players wearing boots (ANB, Oliver, Pickett). Maybe they swapped after a session in runners, or maybe those 3 just forgot aha
  7. North meets with AFL to kickstart priority pick request https://www.afl.com.au/news/802765/north-meets-with-afl-to-kickstart-priority-pick-request Currently have 1, 55, 65, 75
  8. Yep the pile on a bit over the top, i get Fritsch burning team mates isn't a great look but personally i don't mind a selfish streak in a forward. As you and others have stated he's consistently contributing with score involvements/goal assists so dont mind the old shot if he's backing himself in.
  9. I wish - look at our last 3 wins over 100 points 1) vs Carlton Round 9, 2018 2) vs Carlton Round 6, 2004 3) vs Richmond, Round 21, 1993 Based on the above, the next 100 point win should be somewhere between 2029-2032
  10. I wasn't sure if this was done due to it being colder in July, but you're right - should have been in the Sir Douglas Nicholls round.
  11. After we lost to Geelong saw quite a few facebook replies having a go at the jumper as if they were blaming it for the loss. Wonder if the Geelong facebook replies were complimenting their Retro Jumper for getting them the win aha. At the end of the day we wore it 2 times in the Sir Doug Nicholls Round/s (one away, one home) and then we wore it last week as it was NAIDOC week. Wearing it in the NT seems rather fitting? Let's win this week and then the top can rest in neutrality with a 2-2 record.
  12. Turner would be the beneficiary here i'd imagine, maybe something to consider in 2023 - Wouldn't change the backline too much this season
  13. Strange career he has had; from the backline to the forward line to potentially heading out the door to a premiership to then being a key missing cog
  14. Does a GOAT have a thumb? Not sure of the logistics of the hoof . At least a decent break until our next game.
  15. A few poor performances, won’t be the last time we lose in Geelong. Big lift needed for the remainder of the season for top 4, but as we saw last year, not over until the final kick .
  16. Carlton Draught run something called the Carlton Draft wherein a bunch of recently retired players get drafted for 1 game to struggling country/regional teams (who have nominated for the chance to get the opportunity). So a feel good story for the small club and they can get some press and some good canteen takings etc. Also basically an extended advertisement for Carlton Draught - Additionally who doesn't like wordplay. This year it was as follows; Alex Rance: May 14 at Campbells Creek Eddie Betts: May 22 at Branxholme Wallacedale Dale Thomas: June 4 at Nhill Tigers Shaun Burgoyne: June 11 at Dalyston Jarryd Roughead: June 18 at Gormandale Nathan Jones: July 9 at Portarlington Brendon Goddard: July 9 at North Wangaratta Cam Mooney: July 23 at Longwood
  17. Admin please add a Laughing & Crying Emoji reaction aha
  18. Wonder if there is a Brisbane forum with a hot thread full of people worrying he won't nominate for F/S aha. Got 51 touches the other week, magnet.
  19. Excellent news, with Geelong light on defenders - makes me wonder if we'll go tall with Out: M Brown, T. Bedford In: Gawn, Jackson One for the selection committee Bedford would be unlucky, but he also had a tremendous miss on the weekend that still baffles me.
  20. Whilst I do have concerns about our forward structure - one positive about it is we are a bit like a Hydra - have many heads, cut one off and it wont necessarily kill us.
  21. Drove by this evening on my way home from work tonight and our AFLW team were training on it.
  22. Liked what I saw on Debut. Curious where he sits on the pecking order when everyone is fit, looks to have a good future.
  23. Thought Hib was the worst of the lot watching on tv. Brown seemingly got a knock early but came back on etc
  24. a little rough, think we had enough options but maybe not enough specialists? Just unfortunate that the injuries were clumped together. M Brown/Tomlinson only being considered as Gawn/Jackson/Daw/Tmac are out injured.
  25. I do wonder if Chandler will think about a move. Toby has grasped his chances in the seniors better than Kade has, both good depth just curious how patient he is
