  1. Still slightly concerned there have been a few well publicized fights after games between fans and the AFL may come down hard on these 2 as an example to make it look like they're strong on violence.
  2. I like Hunt, last few weeks have been a bit poor but he's not alone there. Couple of brain-fades last week seemingly cost him. Think he is still capable of playing good footy when everyone fit and firing, just last few weeks the backline been impacted by injuries and Lever being a bit out of sort.
  3. What can the AFL do here, is it just a fine or a ban likely? Would hate to lose him for the Brisbane game
  4. If there was a "IS GRAHAM ARNOLD THE RIGHT MAN?" thread it would be full of 122142141241 pages of people saying no.
  5. Petty in the wars - does he get a week off with Turner going in?
  6. Just one normal day supporting this club plz.
  7. Tough days @layzie, i spoke to a LFC fan of mine about going to watch it at the Impy and he joked that he'd need to get there 2 days earlier to get a good spot. Enjoy an occasional game at the Charles Dickens but watch most games on the couch these days. Haven't watched a game at Fed Square since the Croatia game at the 2006 World Cup, was a long evening on the sauce and I was wrongfully punched in the head earlier in the night but didn't care as we advanced to the next round.
  8. Another late 30s here, our age bracket loves/loved a forum, spent far too many hours on the Big Day Out Forum back in the day.
  9. Yep as critical as we like to be about ourselves the Swans were beast like, constant pressure, tackles and covered an additional 10km distance during the game compared to us
  10. Whilst people are talking about umpires, I’ve not seen a replay, but at the time thought Swans were incredibly lucky late in the 3rd quarter to not give away a 50m penalty when ANB was caught high and late, would have been an important goal. Oh well.
  11. He still got around the ground a little bit this week but unfortunately a few times got in the way. I'm not against him going down to work on a few things but no one really has their hand up for that spot and we have the bye coming up, may as well keep him in the game for Collingwood (at least) IMO
  12. Last 4 games he's totaled 20 disposals, across his career averages 10 a game, so he's not getting the ball as much or at least holding onto marks. If he goes to the 2s and then comes back would the same issues be there? He's clearly out of form like you said and the forward line (and f50 entry) is a bit dysfunctional atm and Tmac may be cooked for a bit. If BBB goes to the 2s he may kick a bag of goals, he may not. M Brown and Weid have kicked a bunch for Casey this year and then not really imposed themselves when getting into the seniors. That is the concern I have about dropping B.Brown, as it involves a larger team based issue as well. Can we afford to keep him in the team whilst trying to rectify some teamplay and get him into better form? I'm still on the fence.
  13. I've been on the fence with this one, but with other rotations and Langdon/Tomlinson and others having high ToG%, i think we will be able to play and manage him on Saturday. That being said it is a risk if injuries occur elsewhere and we need a big shift from him. In conclusion ?
  14. You need more creativity and goals from midfield. Will be an interesting summer for LFC with Mane wanting to leave and Salah entering the last 12 months of his contract.
  15. Was reading how we're ranked 17th for pressure applied this year. Not sure what exactly we were ranked last year but a curious stat given our spot on the ladder.
  16. "In more positive news, Harry Petty will be in the clear to play after some concern around his fitness against the Dockers. The key defender was dealing with a knee niggle throughout the match, but scans have cleared him of any damage, allowing him to continue training in full this week." Petty pictured in training with tape around the knee today, hopefully good to go.
  17. Peak Snow season is July to September. Hopefully this outlier spanking we received on the weekend won't impact Saturday Night too much.
  18. I was going to order one when they were announced but thought they have some at the Freo Game. They did not. Hopefully they release another batch, otherwise i will wait until next year.
  19. Thought he was a little unlucky the way some of these contests were adjudicated against Freo. At least he didn't smack a bloke like he did in the VFL.
  20. I still think our depth is reasonable standard, we just had an off day (and had some key personnel out) against a good team. Unfortunately missed a few players which caused flow on impact on other positions (especially after May/Petty injuries). Yes there were some tactical issues but hopefully these are resolved with the returning players and the game plan/effort return this week.
  21. Happy for BBB to stay in, yes he's had 2 ineffective games in a row, we fell apart on the weekend, forward connection non-existent and were missing several key cogs. If he's still struggling after everyone has come back, then maybe get him to Casey for a week or two.
  22. Tmac has a contract until the end of 2024. Imagine/Hoping JvR has busted down the door well before then.
  23. SEN just posted this about McStay, so maybe Brisbane covering their bases? https://www.sen.com.au/news/2022/05/27/collingwood-among-victorian-clubs-trying-to-lure-brisbane-key-forward/ Unrestricted free agent McStay would command a five-year deal in the vicinity of $600,000 a year at the Pies or another suitor given his growing presence and the demand for big forwards. The Lions’ deep playing list means they can’t meet that financial bar, but McStay loves life in Brisbane, has a sense of loyalty and in an ideal world would stay at the Gabba.
