Can I just say, Max Gawn, he has been phenomenal these last few weeks. In fact, that's a discredit, this whole season has been inspirational. From a playing perspective, in his 30's and forced to be the sole ruck. Then from an off the field point of view, he has been put in front of countless press conferences to answer for the sins of others, moved in a troubled teammate in to his house while he has two babies and a wife to care for. Yet he still managed to be an All Australian. Maybe the next time some* journo speaks in the media, take 2 minutes to talk about the burden Max has taken on this season and how he has handled it.

I don't know if this is re-assuring or ominous but do agree with DL, he knows more than he is letting on. The club really need to hold ground on this, any question they get about Christian should've just been a positive response like "We love him and we agree with him on certain issues and will work to fix them". Instead, it looks like some people on the inside are speaking to the media and making reconciliation a lot tougher. I cringe every time I see a fan take a pop at Christian on here or Reddit, Insta or X. Calling him Judas when nothing has happened yet isn't a good way to show him and his family how much he is loved by the club.

Personally, I just like accountability. Happy for you to take credit when things are going well but things have been poor for a little while now, yet no accountability.

If Saints win we are 5th last. Brisbane F/S means we basically got pick 6. Unless your getting in an elite player with 5-6 years of his prime ahead of him, you take pick 6 to the draft.

Your right, no one knows what the future holds. Though, I think our GM of Football and Head coach publicly stating he isn't leaving, and thus essentially putting their jobs on the line if he does leave gives me plenty of reassurance.

A question to the panel, without fear of critique, who would you make hard calls on at the end of the season? (e.g. delist, trade etc.) There is a lot of talk about what we need, but, what don't we need? For me, I think it's time to move away from T. Mac, Tomlinson, Brown and Melksham.

Well said. Goodwin paid off a lot of the complaints many posters here had about him pre-2021 by winning that flag. Since he's absolutely burned the credit he had in the bank. Bunch of shoulda, coulda, woulda about our performances in the finals, end result is we lost and left as a laughing stock each year. However, right now It's not about getting rid of him. It's about him and the staff around him proving they're good enough to get us back to that level. Just because we won one flag doesn't mean he gets infinite cracks at the whip. Re-building on the run, injuries, 1 senior ruckman, lack of quality talls forward of the ball are all being used as excuses to save him when he is the man in charge who is allowing it to happen (bar injuries, he has no control over that). Todays result was obvious, easiest tip of my life. You can get away with beating Draper and 2MP in the wet on our home deck but you're not having the same luck against 2 million dollar ruckmen. "But what could he have done? we have no other ruckmen!". Exactly, he can stand behind the choice of bringing in a C grade fwd/ruck option rather than a genuine number 2 option.

Well I tell you who wasn't at fault today, the list management and coaching team! No sir, no way they could be of any blame.
