VOTES: Rd 10 vs Adelaide
Two of his dropped marks led to Adelaide goals. Lever gets killed if he makes one mistake. I'm not saying Gawn was bad. I see a lot more positive performances then most here, but Gawn literally gave up 2, maybe 3 goals due to errors. His overall influence in a positive sense is hampered by those costly errors. Isn't that the point of a forum for discussion? In my eyes i'd rather Jackson who i can't recall doing any major errors leading to opposition goals and competed well all night.

VOTES: Rd 10 vs Adelaide
The Crows were chipping it short the entire game when they weren't running through the middle with handballs. Just saying they weren't kicking it long because Gawn was down the line is disingenuous, they were as scared of Lever as the 3rd man because they didn't have a tall to man mark on him. End of the day you're pointing out stats but like i said, i felt Gawn was all stats little influence. Jackson had a 5minute window in that 3rd were he rucked and it swung momentum. How is Gawn against an awful ruckman not giving us first use but Jackson is?

VOTES: Rd 10 vs Adelaide
Re-watch the momentum swings in the 3rd and the last. Jackson was rucking and winning us clearances.

VOTES: Rd 10 vs Adelaide
6. Oliver 5. Petracca 4. Langdon 3. Lever 2. ANB 1. Jackson I cannot fathom giving votes to Gawn. He was up against one of the worst Ruckman in the league today. His game was all stats no product and to top it off, he made 2-3 mistakes that led directly to goals for the crows. Not good enough for the votes.

North killed us for a half, they couldn't miss a target.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs Adelaide
We haven't got our match ups right. Tex is winning on the lead vs Petty but it's a win for Petty in the one on one. May has had one effective spoil all game on a 5 gamer. Lever has the small but Crows don't mind that as they are fine taking the short option and or trying to rove the pack. Langdon and Hunt are the keys for us to win this game. We need speed to match them as they are breaking very easily.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs Adelaide
If we could stick a tackle and keep a track of the matchups when running back we would be 3 goals up. May has had an awful game reading the incoming ball so far.

4 points is all we need. Would like a big win sure, but i wold rather just getting the win and no injuries as the Doggies next week will be game of the round

POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs Carlton
Our clearance work is awful. It's all down to Oliver and Trac. No one helping them.

2021 Injury List
T. Mac will surely go ruck and pinch hit around the ground. Considering he's our 2nd best contested mark at the moment wouldn't be a bad thing to sit him infront of McKay

CHANGES: Rd 09 vs Carlton
As Nev mentioned, 6 clangers 60% disp eff from a 7 kick 24 handball game is not super.

CHANGES: Rd 09 vs Carlton
Spot on. And look i'm not against Harmes playing again next week (not my decision) and i will support when in the team. I hope he evolves, but he really didn't do anything the Sparrow couldn't have done tonight + Sparrow was better for Casey than Harmes was and was stiff to miss.

CHANGES: Rd 09 vs Carlton
Fantastic? I'm not saying he was the worse player just the most replaceable considering we have used Sparrow and Viney will be available soon. It's like people saying drop Brayshaw. Who are we bringing in to play as a winger? Baker was awful against North and just middling along at Casey.

CHANGES: Rd 09 vs Carlton
Brayshaw is a winger who is their to be an outlet. Harmes maybe could do the role, but is it really worth experimenting with?

CHANGES: Rd 09 vs Carlton
Yes, from going head down and bowling Nibbler over who had a clear run at the ball, to trying to feint his way through 3 sydney players instead of releasing a handball over the top to a running on goal Pickett, to Running 40 metres with the ball without bouncing instead of releasing when he had the first handball option he plays a contested, selfish brand. I will never doubt his commitment, passion or contested ability but he plays the wrong way for us at the moment. Sparrow would match his endurance and defensive efforts just fine in my eyes.

CHANGES: Rd 09 vs Carlton
Sparrow for Harmes. I'm sorry, but apart from 2-3 good moments in that game, Harmes was doing everything we shouldn't be doing. He just plays like old Melbourne.

GAMEDAY: Rd 08 vs Sydney
I feel like this our best chance to get one over Sydney at the G despite the injuries and the spectre of Franklin looming large.

Harmes? my lord, if we lose my agenda is going to go off the rails.

Christian Petracca is A Demon For Life
Gawn, McDonald, Viney, Salem, and Trac all lifers ? so happy

Christian Petracca is A Demon For Life
Also gotta think Jones, Nev and Hibbo are potentially on the outer... but then you have to consider the bumper deals that we will need to offer Fritsch, Spargo, Kozzy, Rivers, Jackson.

No Merret then. Rest of the coin being saved for Clarry in 2years.

Bayley Fritsch cleared of striking
https://imgur.com/a/UjFeOuI Fritsch is very low, Powell is actually falling into the tackle because he had Petracca push him in his back. I think it's unfair to say his elbow is at shoulder height when both players are so low. I think if Powell isn't falling that's chest height and perfectly legal. This reminds me of Viney's bump where he and his opponent got pushed into the contest and Viney hurt the guy with the bump. https://youtu.be/P1Ax17RHH9A?t=206

Do we lack midfield depth?
Right now Baker, Sparrow, Jordon, Vanders and Harmes isn't scaring any opposition as the 4th midfielder. Shows how big a loss Viney is, because he can easily break loose and get 30 if you don't put time into him. Not saying Sparrow/Jordon can't be top mids in the future, but right now both look to be more solid contributors to passengers, but that's okay because they're young.
