  1. Another to add to the large bucket of small forwards who can't score goals consistently. Can't have 4 of them in your team every week.
  2. If Brad's statement stopped at the first paragraph and started again at the i want to thanks the members part then you could argue this is an acceptable/nothing statement. In totality, what has been sent out, is a load of [censored] and an insult to the intelligence of our fan base.
  3. You know what.. the haters were right, fair play to the haters.
  4. Goody should've been sack when he lost to the Eagles by 6 goals in Perth. Haven't been the same since. You just know he will come out and say we've improved in his press conference and "we have enormous belief in our plan and have a desire to get better". Just bin him for the love of god. Post North after Chandler kicked 3 goals and all his defenders came rushing out I said he wouldn't kick 3 goals in his next 3 games (and if he did I'd donate 50$ to charity). He kicked 1 and was a passenger again. This is our problem. So many sub standard players that rode on the back of the elite guys. Was that the difference in the game? No.
  5. Smelling like a 10 goal loss. Also, my statement post Chandler's 3 goal game against North was that he wouldn't kick 3 goals in his next 3 games. He has kicked... checks notes.... 1. Why do we have small forwards that can't average more than a goal a game getting a kick?
  6. That's a scary listen.
  7. Two points for me. If you re-watch the game or the highlights, do you find it staggering how much more movement there is from Geelong players to create an option for a kicker compared to when we have the ball. You can't play keepy-offs like we tried in the previous rounds with next to no movement providing options for our kicker. If my memory serves me correct, last year we had a Ruck coach, coaching our forwards, a midfield coach, coaching our mids and finally, a defensive coach, coaching our defenders. This year we have a defensive coach, coaching our forwards, a novice coaching our mids and a defensive coach, coaching our defenders. This is just my opinion, but I find it crazy we haven't had a proper forwards coach at the club. It's sad to listen to greats forwards from previous generations talk about the issues some of our players are having individually and I find it hard to blame the players for this. Your thoughts?
  8. J. Brown: Van Rooyen needs to work on his foot work, it's poor, he is very clunky. His ability to turn his defender isn't great. I think about it as a phone box, what's your craft in the phone box. How can you use your feet and strength to protect the drop zone, for him it's not there. He is turning balls where he has 60/40 advantage to 50/50 at best. To me it looks he tries to hard or is terrible at reading the flight of the ball and runs under the ball as well. This is what happens when you don't actually have someone who is a forward, coaching forwards.
  9. Why can Geelong kick a ball inside 50 and hit a target? Why can basically every AFL team do that bar us? Coaching? Personnel? List management? In the last quarter I reckon Geelong hit more targets inside 50 than we did in the last two weeks.
  10. Remember guys, the fitness department primed us for this week...
  11. Still waiting for this theory that we tactically managed our fitness so we could out run the Suns today to come to fruition
  12. Ok, so no coach should ever be binned off if any of their players get injured during the season. You would rather talk in hypotheticals rather than face the facts we have been performing like a bottom 4 side over the last 17 games.
  13. Respectfully, I'm tired of injuries being an excuse for two simple reasons: 1. Every team gets injuries. 2. We've been beaten badly and trending downwards even with a full strength team on the park. Our form line is our form line. If it never turns around, we will finish bottom 4 (After trading our first round selection out).
  14. It's insane to me that we are supposed to be contending for finals and premierships yet we have won 5 games of our last 17 and have suffered 3 of our worse losses since he took over in that time. Are some people really genuinely happy with what they're seeing from this group? The excuse of the way the game is played catching us out is laughable. Why are we so slow to adapt? why aren't we the ones innovating? I said at the end of the last season, someone at the club needs to pull Goodwin in and say if you don't get us in finals you're gone. No hard luck stories, get results. 0-2 to start the year, 5-12 since beating Geelong. It's done in my eyes.
  15. Do you think we can get our pending top 4 pick back if we ask nicely?
  16. This just shows that people would rather complain than turn up.
  17. If Chandler gets 3 goals in his next 3 games I'll donate $100 to the Jim Stynes foundation.
  18. Quick thoughts: - Nobody played well (No Chandler PR please) - Count the broken tackles and fine them a $1000 for each one. - Count every turnover that led to a scoring shot and fine them a $1000 for each one ($2000 if Comben was the one who intercepted it) - Count every attempted fend off or shrug off that didn't break the tackle and fine them a $1000 for each one. - Gawn can't 1 man ruck anymore - 4 seasons with no key forward trades - I'm so glad we traded our first round pick for no reason - Why Langford is omitted for Spargo/Woewodin I'll never know All money accumulated from fines can go to Jim Stynes foundation. Season's over and it's round 2 but what did anyone expect. Our premiership hopes relied on a forward line of Daniel Turner and Jacob Van Rooyen.
  19. Thank you for educating me. I didn't know the coach had nothing to do with the list build.
  20. Barlow had pretty big wraps on him.
  21. Some great content, hopefully more of this going forward.
  22. Windsor, Lindsay and Langford for many years to come 😍
  23. God we have the best jumper in the comp.. 😍😍😍
  24. Cal mentioned that Adelaide are interested in Draper and Langford. Carlton also have interest in FOS and Draper. North seem most interested in Tauru. I think we could very well see Jagga slide to our pick.
  25. Pick 5 you want a point of difference player. I think the guys in the range for that will be Langford, Smith and Tauru. Pick 9, depends on what will be available. I have a feeling North split 2 with Richmond and try grab Tauru. Saints might bite on Armstrong. I'd almost consider Reid if he is available. A future one, two punch of Smith and Reid sounds exciting.
