  1. Good to see Nev love How do people rate the following performances? Ben Brown Weideman Lockhart
  2. Anyone know why Rivers fell so low in the draft? How many you taking ahead of him know?
  3. Greeny looks like he put on some kegs. We have some super loyal boys considering where we came from and the state of the club in those era's.
  4. I'm not going to get carried away because we will probably lose to Hawthorn next week, but it was clear as day Goodwin wasn't walking as tall as he was when he first came in. He looked tired and frustrated. Felt like he lost his voice in a way. Watching Choco and Yze back him up from the bench or around the huddle is going make Goody walk taller and find his voice.
  5. 6. Lever 5. Petracca 4. Fritsch 3. Viney 2. Oliver 1. Spargo
  6. Our goals weren't tied to Barlett, I know nothing about Roffey but her appointment doesn't change a whole lot. Premierships and a training base are the objective, she inherits that. Let's see what happens.
  7. Spargo was brilliant? Sparrow was medical sub and brought the heat when he came on. Only people who are in contention to be dropped are Melksham and Jetta. But both will keep their spot for now. Hibberd for May
  8. Pressure was relentless copy and paste that to all 23 guys that took the field today, fantastic job.
  9. Lever was a star Trac loves a big game at the G Spargo and Pickett where incredible with their pressure Langdon and Hunt superb on the break and in one on ones Brayshaw read the game beautifully, nearly his best game since our finals year Finally, Jake Viney. He loves a game against the cats, incredible effort.
  10. Petracca: "I love the club" "It's pretty special that Jack is a one club player" Demonland: He gone ------ Despite having the superstar image, Trac always seemed to me as a real needs to be loved player. As long as we keep winning, i'm sure he will get a enough love from the club and fans.
  11. Trac and Oli will stay, the real elite talent of the comp tend to stay in one spot or atleast close to home. A few exceptions of course but it's not going to be easy for any victorian club not named North to put together a package deal in picks for us to accept and money to turn their heads. I'd be more worried about locking down Jackson then either of those two.
  12. I thought this thread was going to be a satire response to everyone's calls to drop him for Melksham who has the turning speed of the Evergreen.
  13. This game just re-affirms how big it will be beating Cats and Hawks because both good in spurts but average for vast stretches.
  14. Thank god Hunt stepped up because i think we missed a trick on Phillips.
  15. Gawn - best on ground Langdon - all australian year Petracca - knows he's good Viney - best clearance player Lever - good in close Hunt - our second winger Brayshaw- steady good performance Salem - good once again Oliver - should rest forward Jordon - works very hard Pickett - Davey, Farmer, Pickett Tomlinson - career best season? Rivers - love his game Jackson - won his battle Neal- Bullen - did his job May - lost to Greene Fritsch - our best target Spargo - pressured opposition well McDonald - tried, no reward. Jones - was steady today Sparrow - covered the ground Jetta - unlucky few times
  16. Sparrow out for Melksham? Sparrow can atleast turn and chase
  17. My problem isn't necessarily Oliver leaving it's replacing him. We all see the issues with our midfield, not short on talent, it's just unbalanced. The super unrealistic ideal world is you off load Harmes for early 2nd, late first. Combo picks together and go after a Dunkley, McGrath etc. We should have cap space when you consider Jones/Hibbo/T. Mac/Jetta are closing in on the end and potentially trading a Harmes to cover the budget for both Clarry and another star mid. Real world scenario is we will probably end up losing Clarry, tying down the lesser inside mids like Brayshaw and Harmes and then going to the draft and getting two kids who probably won't even fill what we need.
  18. Rivers had a shocker but he's got credit in the bank. Usually he is clean and tidy and that was gone, that speaks to rustiness and the conditions then a players overrall ability. Harmes and Hunt are the big winners on that list, both were bottom 3 with Rivers on the day. ANB also unlucky.
  19. Kozzie should be a forward pocket who can fill in midfield if needed. Outside mid a must, missing out on Hill, Smith, Phillips in recent years to compliment Langdon is hurting us. I can't for the life of me see why the coaches / administration team think Jones, Brayshaw, Harmes are good enough to stick on a wing. It's all about pace and two way running.
  20. Spot on for me, Sparrow actually runs two ways and when watching i noted he had a few nice kicks when we were attacking. ANB apart from his awful time wasting set shot that he ended up kicking straight to a freo player was very good, his fitness levels made him shine. Hunt is the only other player apart from Harmes i'd consider dropping. Harmes was really bad.
  21. We are missing Brown, Hibberd, Weid, Viney and Lockhart from this line up to be fair. Boy do we need another outside mid to take away Harmes spot though.
  22. You start to wonder if the midfield will ever learn their lesson in regards to clearances and getting sucked into the play. You've got to assume nobody is teaching them any different, that was a pathetic day at the office in terms of clearance play. Few of the maligned senior players played well today. T. Mac, ANB, Jetta, Jonesy. Sparrow, Jordon, Jackson and Rivers did enough to warranty a start. Lever and May BOG by far.
