The List Manager Tim Lamb
Interviewer: Hey Tim, we don't have a first round selection this year. Tim Lamb: Yes that was by design, this years draft is heavily compromised with Academy and F/S Meanwhile every Tim Lamb defender: No we always wanted the picks! We didn't actually want Flanders or Humphrey! Tim Lamb knows what he is doing! The club has been consistent in it's messaging!

Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
SA vs both VIC squads have the most talent available. Plenty of great individual games in Coates talent league. NHH for Stingrays vs the Rebels in Rd 18 is a highlight.

Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
2025 is not a bad draft. Its just a more mid range draft. The shouts that x player would be #1 on this draft may be true, but plenty of these kids have shown a lot. I think a lot of the negativity around this draft stems from the fact SA and the Allies have a strong crop this year and the Vic media dont like it.

Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
Likely taken before we get our picks: Willem Duursma - Anywhere - Mr Versatile. Will be the best of all the Duursma's. Sullivan Robey - Mid/Fwd - Explosive and damaging. Like Trac, but with Oliver's pre-draft rise. Xavier Taylor - DEF/Hb - I think he might be out of reach for us, but maybe he slides. He looks to be solid lockdown defender with a turn of pace and damaging disposal. Cooper Duff-Tytler - Ruck/KF - Absolute massive unit and moves well. Don't think we need his type. Dyson Sharp - Mid - Great inside player and can be explosive. I do feel with Grlj and Dovaston gaining hype he may slide. Likely selections: Aidan Schubert - KF/Ruck - I really like his hands and set shot routine. Very good Athlete. More promise than what I saw from Jefferson. Josh Lindsay - HB/Mid - Classy Left Foot and very composed in traffic. Sam Grlj - Mid/Wing/HB - Speed, endurance, competitive and courage to play. Reminds me of Windsor in size and shape. I think he'd be a great fit if we think King wants more speed. Mitch Marsh - Fwd - Great size and from what i've seen, just seems to be smarter than all of his opponents. Reminds me of Melksham a lot. Lachy Dovaston - Fwd - His combine is going to see him shoot up the rankings. A goal sneak who brings the heat. I think he feels a hole that only Pickett fills. Would be a big target for me. Smokey Selections: Jacob Farrow - Mid/HB - Finds the ball and a great size. WCE should be all over him. Oskar Taylor - HB/Wing - Now we got CJ I don't see us getting him, but another great athlete with room to grow. Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves - Mid/Fwd - Honestly he could be the best player in the draft or a flop. He had a game were he had 30 disposals and kicked 5. Not for me: Oliver Greeves - Mid - Great inside player, but game seems to move past his type. Sam Cumming - Mid - Looks like Tom Sparrow, no thanks.

Letter from the CEO Post Draft
We knew why they were being traded but the messaging around what we wanted has changed. "Not interested in picks" to "We have a great draft hand" and "Pleased to look forward and build to our new premiership" is different. The only positive we have as fans is the kids that could come in.

Farewell Christian Petracca
7, 8, 15 for Trac, 24, 28, 43 seems fair.

2025 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Excluding Academy picks; I have the top 15 like Willem Duursma Sullivan Robey Cooper Duff-Tyler Dyson Sharp Xavier Taylor Josh Lindsay Aidan Schubert Sam Grlj Jacob Farrow Sam Cumming Lacy Dovaston Mitch Marsh Oskar Taylor Oliver Greeves Jevan Phillipou I would be interested in if we didn't rate the draft to swap Pick 7/8 for Pick 1 to try nab Willem Duursma. He trained on with us/Casey and I think he will be one of the more versatile players in the game today once he gets a crack. He just screams Goddard to me. Outside of that, pace and skill required. Sam Grlj, Josh Lindsay, Lachy Dovaston, and Oskar Taylor all would be who fit the bill. Out side shouts: Mitch Marsh, plays like Melksham. Aidan Schubert, I think despite his build he could play seniors first year.

Bailey Humphrey
The reality is we had the chance to get Flanders and failed. He was the only worth while player they would let go. I don't understand why everyone think Humphries is the best thing since sliced bread either. Is it just because he didn't say no like all our other targets?

Bailey Humphrey
Putting my money on 7, 8 and future 2nd for CP 24 and Spargo comp
-
Bailey Humphrey
I wonder what CP thinks. I guess it depends what GC tols him, but they ain't in a rush to lock down one of the best players on the market.

Trade Targets
There is a very real possibility we only bring in Mihocek and Heath in this trade period. While we lose 2 of our greats, who now seemingly hate us. What a sad time for this club.
-
Sam Flanders
Flanders joins the list of failed targets. Humphrey next. Lamb defenders incoming.
-
The Sam Grlj Thread
I'd push for 2 highs picks for Trac in this years draft. One to secure Grlj (assuming Robey not available) and the second to get Oskar Taylor. Both are quick, great kicks, take game on, very athletic.

Rebuild or Renovate?
People will say this years draft is weak, but we still should make the most of it. Tasmania is going to stuff the draft for several years very soon. The team with the most talented 19-21 years old at this stage is the best poised for success in the next 5 years.
-
Sam Flanders
Not including the players that have been delisted, we have the potential of moving on Trac's full 1m+ contract, around 700-800k of Oliver's, May's full 7-800k and whatever McVee and Spargo were on. With Mihocek and Heath coming in, we should be well in the green and I'm tired of people thinking we don't have the space.

Farewell Christian Petracca
I agree. Top 20 of this draft is more than solid. Robey, Lindsay, CDT, Dean, Dovaston, Marsh and Schubert will all be great players.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
Pies have a few academy and at least one F/S - I'm thinking it will be a pick in this years draft. We also don't seem to think, White or Sinnema will be taken in the national draft, more likely rookie.

Imploding
Essendon don't know what success looks like, did they even do DVDs of there last finals win or was it all on VHS?
