I’ve been somewhat critical of Viney’s game these last few seasons, but it’s abundantly clear to me that our midfield does not function well without him at CB’s. Like last week, the boys have given me another level of confidence with that win. Sydney were fantastic last night, and choking out a good team throwing everything at us for 4 quarters is another feather for our cap.

Funny how you guys aren’t mentioning Gawn. He has been soundly beaten last few weeks, and co hosts the podcast. Social media engagement is a key part of revenue strategies these days, and Gus is absolutely hilarious so it makes perfect business sense to have him on a podcast with Gawny. Aside from that, they do the podcast in their own time for the benefit of the club. It’s not like he’s skipping training to record it. Some people here have a very strange dad complex with the players and think they have right to comment on what they do in their own time. Totally bizarre to me. Do you honestly think he would play better if he didn’t record a 45 minute podcast? Give me a spell, stop looking for problems to discuss while we’re flying.

Melksham was horrible. From what I saw, the stats he accumulated came mostly after half time when we starting controlling the game better. I'd love to see him dropped.

That game showed me where we are at more than any other game this year, including last week. The best teams still find a way, even when they are playing as badly as possible. We saw that today. Even when we were terrible for so long, we still managed to beat good teams sometimes. There's something to be said for the freedom of having zero expectations on you. North played as good as I've seen them in ages. We bank the 4 points and move right along. We can't play our best every week, I'm just thankful that we're good enough to still win when we don't. We would have dropped that game 100% of the time any other year, including 2018.
