TRAINING: Monday 18th January 2021
In fairness, May is one of the better one on one defenders getting around. Thanks for the great report

Patton allegations
Yeah, nah. Anyone this clueless about personal data security gets zero sympathy from me in this day and age. Thick as 2 short planks is Patton. As a public figure, its seriously poor judgement on his part sending these sorts of images over the internet. Also, you offering an opinion on whether or not the female has the right to be offended by his behaviour isn't your place. A woman should have the right to deal with unwanted sexual advances in any way she see's fit. He offered to pay her money, as if any women on earth should be willing to prostitute themselves for him. This shows his character to be that of one who does not respect women at all. Trying to fly the flag for him him here only makes you look the same way.

Patton allegations
So he acts like a complete degenerate, treating women with disrespect for who knows how long. Finally gets pulled up, and now he's having a mental health crisis and needs to be in hospital? Yeah, nah. Doesn't sit right at all does it. Zero sympathy for a bloke who treats women like this.

Off-season outlook: Pressure will be on Melbourne and Simon Goodwin
I haven't been a fan of Goody for awhile now, but I'm backing him in for top 4 thanks to his new supporting cast.

TMac on the Trade Table?
Not sure that's true considering the price we pay for him.

Jonathan Brown to take Sam Weideman under his wing
I like the sound of that. Good to see the club thinking outside the box and bringing in top talent in different capacities.

Jonathan Brown to take Sam Weideman under his wing
So is Browny actually mentoring Sam, or did they just have a one off chat?

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs Fremantle
If I had a dollar for every time I've read that on DL I'd be retired at age 34

Perhaps an email to the club will be more effective than a post on Demonland ...

TMac on the Trade Table?
If he gains that mobility, I'd love to see him tried on a wing. Not interested in seeing him up forward unless covering an injured player.

Rare first names for the draftees.
When I see names like this I always assume the parents have spent much of their life receiving unemployment benefits

King: Move Salem Up the Ground
I'd be very wary of moving Salem off HB. His kicks out of the back 50 set up so many of our scoring opportunities. I like where our backline is at, we should find the answers to our forward 50 connection elsewhere.

"Luke Jackson won't make it as a ruckman" Dwayne Russell 3/12/20
Ok i'll bite. Let's look at your first example here. Roughead kicked 6 goals from 16 games in his first season. Also had 8 hit outs for the season, so you can safely assume he spend most of his time up forward. LJ; 3 goals 6 games. Also, 29 hit outs in those 6 games. So not only did LJ average more goals, he did it while spending less time in the forward line. In a season of shortened quarters.

I get that this is exploitative in some ways, but really ... who's got a gun to these uni students head making them do this?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SAM WEIDEMAN
Yep that sounds about right. In the 5th season of Tom's career (2011), he had played a total of 80 AFL games in consistently good team. In that same year, he kicked 27 goals @ an average of 1.5 goals per game. Sam has played 44 games in a poor team over the same period. This year, Sam kicked 19 goals @ an average of 1.46 goals per game. But hey, let's not let reason get in the way of a good ol' player bashing on DL.

Simon's pass mark for 2021?...
You'd have to think that with our list where its at, in terms of talent and age, we really should be finishing top 4 next year. Ben Brown was the last major piece of the puzzle really. If he gets going from round 1 I think we're a good chance for that.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SAM WEIDEMAN
Couple of things here: 1) Stats are important if you want to analyse the game and its players correctly. Your point is centred around the fact he's coming up to his 6th season. In his 5 so far, he's played 44 games. That's an average of 8.8 games of footy a season, or less than 2 full seasons worth of footy. 2) My week is going just fine thanks.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SAM WEIDEMAN
Yes, he's in his sixth season. Now go look at how many games he's actually played. Do I need to run you through some stats or does logic normally bounce right off you?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SAM WEIDEMAN
Absolute rubbish. Since when is KPF in their "prime" at 23 years old?

Farewell Oscar McDonald
I'd be very concerned if our grand plan was to send Omac to Casey so he can dominate and get his confidence up. I'm sure he is even good enough to do that. Genuine AFL players dont need that after 6 seasons. Cut our losses, all the best Omac.

Gawn: Dees Ready for Success
Because your insulted at the fact Melbourne players have media obligations, the very obligations and turn a profit for the club via ad revenue. Of course we're going to hear positive messaging. What do you expect, him to get in front of the camera and self-flagellate? What about the next generation of Melbourne supporters? Reckon we'll get more kids' on board to ensure our future growth by telling everyone how bad we are every pre-season? Not everything the club does from a media perspective is catered to the hardened MFCSS sufferer, nor should it be. We need the players on the energy bus and looking forward, not wallowing in the disappointment of years gone by. It's simple business. It's not a ploy to offend or insult members.

Gawn: Dees Ready for Success
Yes, because as if another poor season wasn't enough, lets give up on taking ad revenue buy not posting content. Bringing in less money doesn't solve any problems mate.
