  1. That's the spirit. Need more like yourself. We certainly can do it if we bring the desire and improved skills with our better players playing to their potential. Go Dees. Finish off year with some good performances and give us long suffering supporters something to hang onto for 2020
  2. Yes, worth a try as I think he will not get back into defence unless we have plenty of injuries there.
  3. We need to be realists here.We are struggling big time and whilst Sunday's effort against last years premiers wasn't all that bad the fact is we are playing, due to necessity to many blokes that at present are VFL players. The likes of the Wagners, ANB, Lockhart, Pruess, Petty and Hunt may well become good players but are playing VFL standard footy at the moment. That's 7 players that basically are not AFL players.. Throw in Trac and to a lesser extent Brayshaw & Jones who are not playing to their potential plus our overall skill level then no wonder we are ordinary. Hopeful we can put in some decent efforts to finish off year and have TMac, Melksham, Smiths, Weid, KK and Vandenberg back next year plus some decent list changes and recruiting I am hopeful we will bounce back. Unlike some will still buy my membership.
  4. No way. He has had his chances and his efforts today were pathetic. That tackle on McGovern and dropped chest mark leading out on his own were not AFL standard. Just does not have a football brain and needs some more time at Casey learning and improving skills.A few others need this also but we do not have the cattle. I'm sure he can be a good player for us but not now.
  5. We need to realise that we have about 6 players at present that are VFL players at their best however are trying to play AFL. Get through rest of this season, get those 3 or 4 players out injured that would play in our best 22 and recruit one or two decent players with some kicking skills, leaving players like Lockhart etc in the two's to learn their craft a bit more and we will look a half decent team again. And by the way someone has to put a HUGE rocket up Trac's A and then follow through up Hunt's.
  6. Nailed it. Their outs would be equivalent to ours however find a way to turn a 5 goal deficit into a 3 1/2 goal win. Also for those that bag our skippers need to have a look at what I consider the worst captain in the game in Walker. He went missing in that GF and again tonight. If I was the Crows I would look to get rid of him pronto. Going gets tough and he plays in the stands.
  7. I reckon we can match them in the middle with Gawn again to dominate. Our backs should keep them to 12 -14 goals. The BIG Q is how are we to kick 14-16 goals. Not likely unless we start a couple of hours early then we will still miss the goals and turn it over !! The other way is for the AFL to give us a 3-5 goal start!. Can only hope we give it a big effort.
  8. No excuses. They cross that white line then their fit and ready to play. Unfortunately Hannan just can't get his hands on the pill and a game or two at Casey will not hurt him. Find the pill, get a few kicks and kick a couple of goals will give him the confidence to find his way back to the one's before season is over.
  9. We as a rule play better in Alice than at the G. Until we get more members we all need to get over this rant as it will remain at least a game a year in NT for years to come.
  10. I don't care who we get as long as they have silky skills. Salem aside our side are mainly in and under players with no handballing or kicking skills. Those kept need to improve in this are over summer and get ready made players in draft with some decent skills.
  11. Yeh he was about 4 rows back from fence. Never wanted to get near ball so sat in stands.
  12. People. Unfortunately there is not much in the two's and we will have to put up with this crap for rest of year , playing blokes that should be in a suburban comp let alone VFL. We are officially the 2nd worst team. ANB, Hannan and many others are just not good enough. That shot by Fritta just summed up our day and season. I've had enough of this and trying to find excuses. Not Umpires fult it was our own players with about 6-8 VFL players at best.
  13. Gee I hope so seeing we are playing about 5 men down. Is Hannan, Hunt, ANB, Pruess and Jetta playing? You wouldn't think so and throw in Jones. How we are only a goal down has me beat. Then again miracles can happen and we come home with a wet sail.
  14. Hope your right but who s going to kick our goals or enough to win.
  15. Plenty of kicks but nearly every one went to Carlton. Up here at home in Qld and would have to be the worst game of Footy I have ever seen. Just as well Carlton are giving it back to us after we give it to them. Taking in turns to stuff it up. Oh well it is the 2nd and 3rd last teams
  16. I tend to agree with this. Also we have had a mini rebuild during season by being forced to play a few youngsters and others that may well have played all season at Casey
  17. That was near us and I was yelling 'have a shot' but no he goes sideways and misses target. We have to many players that are soft, weak and no brains. Need someone to be responsible when a key moment comes up and take control of the situation. Also why didn't one of our senior players go to him, settle him down and instruct to shoot for goal. Happens to often.
  18. Blood oath. We are a pack of pansies that need some tough love. Season done and seeing Lever maybe in I would put him in the forwards this week for the first quarter to sort that useless bunch of so called footballers out. Then maybe 2nd quarter in mid field to direct those haphazard players out. They need it big time. Back to defence for 2nd half. Job done. We win.
  19. Yes something is amiss with him. Gets the pill but turns it over to much for my liking. But at least he is getting it which is allot more than some on this team. Some of the efforts in last quarter particularly by our forwards was inept to say the least. They just let Lions backs just take it out to easily and some just did not put the effort in . In front of us a couple of our forwards were just jogging around doing F all.
  20. I was at the ground and someone mentioned Lions have received 11 free kicks in a row to our zero!! Mind you they were first to the ball so they deserved some frees but 11 in a row n a bit much.
  21. Yep I would like to get some $$$'s on if anyone will give me 8 goal start!. Macca?
  22. Same here and was at the G in 64 GF. Allot of us are well into 60's or older as Dees were dominant back then and kids like me supportrd them In my case it was a case of going against parents as both followed Magpies!. Need to win today and I'm confident we will.. Cover Neale with Harmes, Backline to play well and TMac to give Andrews the run around.
  23. Great day up here and the ground should be fast by start time. Reckon we have a big chance here. Bring the pressure, win contested ball and the clearances and win it will be. Lions played circle work last week as Saints put no pressure on and a couple of weeks ago Lions were ordinary against Blues. Go Dees.
  24. Yep same here. Phone call then the email with latest tickets. Mind you I have had 3 emails with tickets since I booked them in May, first 2 with what I believe invalid tickets and today the real ones I trust.
  25. Sunday to be 25 degrees and sunny. Gabba track will be fast as it drains well. Will be there with kids & grand kids With most posters here. Hibberd for Wagner the main change and if Lewis gets a run then for ANB or Hannan and Lewis to rotate through midfield using his excellent kicking into I hope leading forwards.
