At least the TV commentary confirmed Eddie is a total sea hunt.

Loved seeing the Suns beat those flogs. I watched every minute of it. Stewy Dew’s nickname? It has to be “Over” doesn’t it? He looks 10 months pregnant!

I reckon there is a long term plan around BB. I’m guessing there is a lot of thought going into when he comes back into the team to ensure he has a confidence building run. We don’t want that [censored] Mumford running through him for example. Had we not had such a successful year so far, BB would have been rushed back in but we have had the luxury of not having to do that. When BB returns I think it will be permanent and will add that touch of forward class come finals time whilst freeing up Fritsch and make our forward line a whole lot more potent.

It’s entirely out of my hands LDvC. Although I have been the main contributor to said jar for many, many years I have absolutely no idea what happens to the contents which seem to magically disappear when the jar is full. (Which reminds me….I need to go to the bank and get some more $2 coins for Saturday.)

I reckon in every single game so far ANB has kicked the ball into the legs of an oppo player at least once when an OTT handball would be the better option. I won’t mention the times he fumbles or runs over the top of the ball…..drives me crazy. My poor wife must think his name is Neal-effing-Bullen I say it so often. Our swear jar is bursting at the seams with my $2 coins.

Gentleman Jack Viney clearing the cobwebs with a hit on Devon Smith. Classic Viney who will take out a few more before seasons end.

The bloke only has his opinion mate.

Craig Bradley right up there with KB!

Young Kozzie needs to be told that every time he touches the ball it doesn’t need to be a highlights reel play. Sometimes just doing the simple things gets the job done. Once again, far too many hit and hope/Hollywood handballs from players when laying the boot into the ball is a better option.

Good on Majak for getting back on an AFL list but he has always been built like a brick outhouse and never really used that physique to intimidate anyone. Imagine if Jack Viney was built like that? He’d kill someone. As said, above, if Daw gets a game it’s because we have an injury to one of our talls. We don’t want to see that.

Lever then daylight. Leadership is not necessarily about being the best player but about having the capacity to translate vision into reality via effective communication.

At least BBB will lead at the ball carrier.

I know we are potting the Weed but he was playing on a ground that favours FF’s and on a dry day. No f……… excuse. The blokes heart is just not in it. Most of his efforts were at 50%. He has had a fair go perhaps even more than he has deserved. I’ve never been a fan but he has been very, very disappointing.

But he was one of their best players!

Weideman has gone down into the Collingwood rooms to practice the club song.

Spot on. Petracca particularly.

Yay! ?

My changes…….Max to FF. Weed and Jacko to ruck. Trac, Clarry and rotate Hunt/Langdon/Kozzie through the middle. Harmes to go with De Goey if he starts in the middle of course.
-
Somebody shut down De Goey FFS.

Maynard wouldn’t get a game in our 2022 defence. Keep Hibbo on, slot Tomlinson back in, give opportunities to Lockhart, Hore and Joel Smith and develop Bowey and Deakyn Smith. We also have the two recent draftees to consider.

Does anyone want to bring back the old Demonland?

It’s “The whole is greater than the sum of the parts” and it was Aristotle that said it not the Chinese philosopher whose childish name you quoted. Lao Tzu is my favourite. Never heard of yours. -
After following this team since 1966, I’m still hoping rather than fully believing. The loss against Adelaide showed us up quite badly. The Bulldogs game was tactically brilliant and our second half against the Lions was sensational. Aside from the Bulldogs game however, we have yet to put together four outstanding quarters of football. To win a flag, we need to be able to do that. I’d also like to see us tear at least one team apart on the scoreboard to show ourselves that we can actually kick a huge score. With Langdon, Viney and BBB to come into the side we look very strong. I do worry though about opposition plans to blanket Clarry, Trac and Max and that will surely happen at some stage. I’d assume that there are strategies already in place to combat those tactics when they occur. I also have concerns about injuries and I fear that those are pretty much inevitable but hope that they involve weeks and not months. Apart from Tomlinson and Viney, we have had a very good run. In the meantime I will watch every game holding my breath for long periods, releasing my tension with either abusive language or “Go Dees!” fist pumps. Come GF day when I see Maxy holding the cup aloft I’ll know that seeing is believing. Until then I’ll continue to hope.
