I now wait with bated breath to see young Sam come into the team on a wet and slippery MCG, not have an impact and watch those here who have been screaming for his inclusion, tear him a new one. I hope he kicks 6.

Bolton, Rioli Involved in Night Club Fight
ProperDee replied to daisycutter's topic in Melbourne Demons
Many years ago I was advised to trust nobody and believe nothing until the actual facts were substantiated. That premise is quadrupled for words coming out of the mouths of sportsmen involved in incidents in nightclubs or within the precincts of any licensed premises. -
Just smile and wave boys. Smile and wave. Come Grand Final day we release the demons with no send off rule and who gives a stuff if there are suspensions into next year. Premiers 2021. It’s been done in the past and we have been the victims.

Tracs corky concerns me. It seems like a ripper.I was surprised he was not iced up immediately rather than being allowed to wander. I noticed Kozzy limping in the rooms after the game too. I dearly hope that the injury Gods are not thinking it’s our time! Indications over the past couple of weeks are not good.

Centre Clearances - Considered Analysis Requested.
ProperDee replied to DEE fence's topic in Melbourne Demons
Max is too predictable with his taps and the opposition read them easily now. If we win (say) 70% of centre hit outs per game there needs to be a systematic plan re direction of those. i.e. left, right, forward or back. It’s seems pretty much hit and hope now. LJ is great at the centre bounces as he he a newbie therefore unpredictable to them opposition and often wins his own ball. As a matter of fact, I wouldn’t be against giving him the odd run in the middle not as the ruckman. In fact, I think we have any number of players who could have a run through the midfield occasionally just to mix it up. Who knows, we might strike a golden combination. Having said that, I feel a lot more comfortable with Viney in there. -

BOM says 11 degrees tonight hence I will be walking like the Michelin Man. I was in a singlet and shorts at home this morning in 27 degrees!

Down from Brisbane, I’m dressed ready for an expedition to Antarctica!

I like the thought of that LH. Buddy worries me. Still a champion and can tear a team to shreds.

It’s a very different feeling being a Demons supporter this season. I am torn between being elated at the string of successes and worried sick that the wheels will fall off! I find it really difficult to be confident although on form, we should win easily tonight. I still don’t think we have played an entire game of our very best footy and hope that comes out soon. In the interim, I am always on edge on game days and having to wait another 12 hours now to see the boys take on the Bloods is already starting to annoy me. I find an early shot of Drambuie takes the edge off. My wife doesn’t agree though. Funny that....

I’m not a Harmes fan. He’s a wannabe Dusty complete with tatts, straight arm fend offs and even his number. Tries to take MOTY and break too many tackles too often. His biggest fan is himself. BUT....if he can just play his part as a lockdown player and pack all the other stuff away, he can be valuable. Straight to Parker for mine. As I said earlier in the week, tag Parker and keep Lloyd and Rampe out wide and away from the contest if possible.

Graeme Smith is alive and well and living a happy retirement on the Gold Coast.

It’s the biggest danger game so far I believe. Kennedy, Rampe, Franklin, Heeney, Mills, Parker, Lloyd and Papley would all walk into any other team in the competition. If most of them are “on” we will be seriously tested. I would tag Parker (Jordon) and attempt to keep the forward 50 as open as possible with the intention of drawing Lloyd and Rampe away from the contests. That allows our superior tall forwards and Kozzie to dominate.

It seemed like all three of them wanted to see the Dees lose. Healy sweats on us getting beaten.
-
Yep. Just saw in him the bathroom. Pushed the button and he was gone in an instant!
-
No EO but there were a few snipes back and forth between the pair throughout the afternoon. Dunstall never said a word.
-
Did anyone else notice tension between Huddo and Healy during the commentary? Not the best of friends I’d say.

You missed a shallow grave by a half of footy LFS!
-
I would have had them committed EO!

Ok coach. You knew him as a junior. My son-in-law knew him at the Lions and there is plenty of commentary online to support my comments from football people here in Brisbane. IF he has any psychological issues they would not be helped by playing AFL footy and he should be managed more conservatively rather than being thrown in and out of the Bulldogs team. Sorry I upset you. BTW, comments I make are not based on what I read nor are they made up.

Good to see Mitch get a run but he is not in their best 22. He wouldn’t get a game with us. On another note, Josh Schache. As mentioned above by QD, shouldn’t play another game. He upset a lot of people in Brisbane with his poor attitude and lack of commitment. Had huge tickets on himself but is a dud.
