  1. And from all accounts, totally preventable.
  2. Well right now I would rather still have Hogan or a top round draftee. I hope it turns out with May, but turning up to pre-season in sub standard knick, getting suspended for stupidity, and now soft tissue injuries (which could be attributed to his condition pre-season) doesn’t exactly instil me with a lot of confidence
  3. If that’s the case what was the point of getting him? And giving up so much in the process! I can see this turning to [censored] very quickly
  4. Problem is Titan, he has virtually zilch bargaining power at this point in time. I am unsure what the minimum salary is, but right now that is all Sam is worth
  5. I think Sam needs to get a whack with the reality stick. Really he has played one game of AFL which you would class as excellent, the rest have been mediocre or less. If he is hanging out for a better contract he is delusional, so he either needs to sign what has been put before him ( I would assume the club in its due diligence would have done this), or nominate for a trade at years end. Either way he needs to go back to Casey to find some form and desire. I would rather have Tim Smith there than Sam at the moment, at least he gives a contest. Right now, you would have to say trading Hogan was a mistake, as was giving up 2 first rounders for Lever. I would challenge any of you to dispute that we would not be a better side right now with Hogan and the two young guys we could have drafted. I will qualify this by saying that this is NOW, and maybe things will work in the future. But may just as well NOT. I am trying to remain upbeat and positive, but geez it's hard at the moment. Totally agree with Sydee's comments about the mentality of the group, it is looking like they have lapped up all the media expectations. I am the first to admit, yep I fell for it!
  6. Same old issues for Geelong, if Hawkins ain’t kicking goals they just don’t score enough. One trick pony’s
  7. Exactly my thoughts. Irrespective of the outcome of the MRP/Tribunal, I am really disappointed that a player we gave up a lot for acted so stupidly in a meaningless game.
  8. Mitch Cleary reporting that he expects the club will challenge, on the premise of downgrading the "medium impact". And so they should!
  9. Radar, I think the baton was passed well and truly up their proverbial!
  10. Make room around that big neck for a medallion Steve. Great get MFC.
  11. Yeah, but 2 first round picks! Shiel is a downhill skier, the sort of player we would have had a handful of years ago. Talk about overs!
  12. Beams gets 18 votes in the Brownlow this year, and potentially gets traded for pick 18. Neale gets 11 and Freo want 5. What am I missing here?
  13. Rance has always been suspect one on one. Even Mason Cox touched him up
  14. Which is exactly the reason the club is doing this. May in, Hogan out makes us a more likely premier, as it gives us strength in backline, added to an already top notch midfield, the best ruckman in the comp, and 2 big key forwards.
  15. For what we need right now to win a flag, yes he is
  16. Maybe he thinks he may not get a game at WC. Big fish in the small pond syndrome. Yep, feel free to snipe, but frankly i’m A bit over the bloke
  17. Wasn’t comparing the player, just the scenario. Running into the Dockers club rooms, away from the media, just reminded me of Scully at the airport. I find it amusing how these players try to play the straight bat when everyone knows the outcome. Just be honest for Christ’s sake
  18. Is it just me, or is there a bit of Tom Scully about this?
  19. As we are only going after May if Hogan leaves, that may well happen
  20. Gaff is a restricted free agent, meaning that if West Coast match the offer that North (or anyone else) are making, then they have to trade for him. His manager has stated that it is either WCE or North, so he will not be part of our plans anyway. If Gaff leaves on free agency, then WCE would get a compensation pick after their first rounder, which would be around 19-20. So it would be in their interest to go down the match offer path
  21. Would like to know what has changed his mind. Has recently said he was happy here, so something has changed. We know that Watts was moved on due to his attitude regarding rehab to injury. Not suggesting that this has been an issue with Hogan, but something has happened. I cannot believe the club would have instigated this.
  22. How can Cripps get 2 votes when his team lose by 104 points!!!!!!!!!!
