  1. We are not playing GWS in Canberra, the game is at the MCG
  2. This is a huge out. With Lever and Viney, this is 3 of our top 10 out for potentially the season. It will be a monumental effort to make finals from here
  3. Rubbish skills, rubbish decision making, as slow as my granny. 10 goal loss coming up
  4. Into $1.11 on Sportsbet, and Freo out to $6.70 after being $5.80 during the week. Ludicrous odds, just like last week when Saints were $7. Melb should NEVER be 10 to 1 on in a contest.
  5. Not really. We lost to North by 4 points in rubbish conditions, then to a hot GWS, then belted StKilda for all but a lapse in the 3rd quarter. Sports science has come along way in the last few years. If we lose to Dogs next week it won’t have anything to do with the conditions on Saturday night
  6. We won the following week after playing in Darwin last year
  7. Dont forget Lever is only 22 and 3 seasons under his belt. He will get bigger and stronger and become KPD. As long as his knee holds out! So we do not need another big defender. We need pace.
  8. Yes, valid suggestion. Could be worth a try to see if Hogan can fill that role. I was suggesting TMac as the goal from here should be get together enough wins to scrape into finals
  9. Gee, I wonder why they have lost 11 games then? Hindsight is a marvellous thing Jackie boy
  10. True, just have to look at St Kilda to see that. Basket case before they beat the Suns.
  11. The solution is to move TMac back to CHB and leave Hogan as the key forward. Not saying that this is the future, but its the best current scenario. Lets try to pinch a spot in the finals and reload next year. Frost, Keilty, Smith are not the answer. Also need our small forwards, whoever they are, to pressure pressure pressure. As Viney said, just get back to doing the basics, it is an easy fix.
  12. Yep, understand that. However our backline is severely lacking athe moment which is costing us big time. So he needs to go back. We kicked 19 goals today without him contributing much
  13. Hogan needs to go back to being the main forward target, forget about this roaming role. He is not Nick Riewoldt. Tom Mcdonald goes back to defence, he was one of the competitions best defenders, and with Lever out we need him there. Persist with Weideman. Sorry Harrison, but you have had your taste now spend the rest of the year in the VFL learning your trade. From the VFL, Baker could be a chance, and Stretch has done enough to earn a recall. Forget Garlett, clearly he is not in the right mind space, rarely gets near it at VFL level, Spargo a much better option. We need to get back to basics and win the next two games, confidence counts for a lot in this game.
  14. Now $7, and Melbourne into $1.10. Is it just me or do these odds seem a little skewed? Saints coming off a bye and morale boosting win, Dees off 2 losses. Certainly the punters out there fancy us!
  15. Starting to agree with these sentiments. The major problem we have at present is that our bottom 6-8 players just are not at the required level for us to become a top 4 side. And replacing them with others of the same standard will not solve the problem. Thats why the likes of Richmond, Sydney and Geelong, and possibly Collingwood, are where they are. Maybe we need to roll the dice and try some unknowns, such as Petty and Baker. I think we have over rated our list.
  16. Nothing hard about that Febes, should be rubbed out for the rest of the year
  17. OMac could be missing due to his hit on Marshall. Shouldn’t be, but you know the AFL! Other changes depend on form at Casey today. Garlett needs to play a blinder as his previous VFL form has been average at best. If Spargo is better, I would bring him in, for Tyson or Harmes. A good game from Weid and he comes in for Tim Smith. Stretch in the mix, again for Tyson or Harmes. Goodwin was pleased with the “behaviours” of the team, so don’t think there will be too many changes
  18. I don't think physicality is the issue Big D. We lack leg speed which is exposing us on the wider ground, against the teams equipped to exploit it. And I wouldn't be pencilling in St Kilda and Freo, if we don't bring the right mindset to those games..........
  19. Ladder predictors are a waste of time. Here is the only prediction meaningful - No-one can beat Richmond on the MCG
  20. Not a great draft for GWS - Jarrod Pickett at 4, now with Carlton, Caleb Marchbank at 7, now with Carlton, Paul Ahern at 6, now with North.
  21. https://afltables.com/afl/stats/players/C/Christian_Petracca.html Hi Ernest, table above. Averaged around 19 possessions a game in 2017
  22. I think some of you may be judging Christian on what you "think" he should be as opposed to what he is delivering. He is on target to better his 2017 stats in most areas, especially 1% ers, other than goals kicked (that would be because of the different role he is playing this year). Also, don't forget he missed a year with an ACL. And please don't compare him with DeGoey, one is a fine young man, the other a f....wit.
  23. Not exactly banging the door down at Casey. You would have to think that there are others ahead of him, such as Bugg, Tyson, JKH. What role would he play? Replacement for either of Hannan or Fritsch? No thanks. Would like to see him stay on the list though as his upside is youth
