  1. Yes they will. They are cleanskins.
  2. Yes, I dont think Geelong will touch him now, meaning they will go hard for Viney
  3. Clearly speculation, otherwise the club would have announced it by now. Absolutely no reason to hold off an announcement if indeed true
  4. Yep. Idiots like P......F........ should take a good hard look at themselves
  5. AFL new love child? Some of these umpiring decisions are bewildering at the least
  6. As much as I hate saying it, but I hope we lose today. It may just force the club to make a call on Goodwin. We simply cannot have him as coach next year. With both Gawn and Oliver out of contract, and Salem a RFA, we need a new approach and a successful year in 2021.
  7. And no, it won’t be us. It will be the Dogs, who will run rings around them.
  8. They were rubbish tonight. Couldn’t kick 50 points against the second worse team in the comp. Have injury concerns, Kennedy, Shuey, McGovern, Yeo. Natanui is almost ineffective. Ryan is the only match winner they have. Not going to win finals with that.
  9. Whoever is playing WC next week has a free ticket. Bulldogs 2016 all over again?
  10. I don’t know! But right at this moment the only reported possibility is Saad. Compare that to Geelong, who reportedly are into Viney, Crouch and Daniher.
  11. Sad state of affairs when the only bloke on our horizon is Adam Saad! Geez, how long were we a destination club for, 5 minutes?
  12. The simple fact is that we are in this position because we lost to two sides we should have beaten. St Kilda, Bulldogs and Collingwood will be playing finals because they have won that one or two crucial games that mattered. Which is why at this very point those clubs have gone past us as far as development goes. Hopefully we can get back on the right side of the ledger next year
  13. Is anyone going to question why this particular game should be played in WA, when all the current teams in the finals are in QLD? Why should the Eagles be getting a home final for finishing 5th, when potentially teams that finish above (Richmond, Geelong) could potentially be the “home” team in a prelim playing Brisbane in Brisbane? Why are the AFL making this so hard, with quarantine periods, allowing one club to fly between states just for the sake of a final? Why should the Eagles get that privilege when they finish 5th in a year where there is no normal?
  14. Always remember his dad saying, when he was about to play his first game, “ just take em son, just take em on”. And that is exactly what he will do when he becomes a lock in our best 22.
  15. Compensation pick would be 19. From last 2 drafts, Sam de Koning and Liam Stocker. Would you like to reconsider?
  16. And Max and Trac could follow
  17. Ok, will rephrase.....Gun free agents, who have not tasted the ultimate success, only go to clubs with premiership potential. So Cameron won’t come here
  18. Big name free agents only go to clubs with a chance of premiership success
  19. Don’t think so. One, he is contracted. Two, he is undergoing surgery and will be sidelined up to 3 months. Really don’t think another club will come sniffing under that scenario.
  20. It was only earlier this year that a couple of Geelong supporting mates were the saying the same about Scott we are now saying about Goodwin. And I guarantee those noises will start again when they get bundled out in straight sets again
  21. The article did suggest Collingwood as a possible suitor. Although it was stated that his contract would have to be spread out over 3-4 years due to their tight salary cap. Don't know how this works, but given that he will be 29 next year I cannot see that happening
  22. 2 years to run on his contract
  23. Mitch Cleary on the AFL site suggesting Tom should look elsewhere next year. Mentioned Essendon and Collingwood as possible homes. Based this on the presumption that we do not want him as we picked Preuss against Freo. Says he still has something to offer, cited the fact he kicked 4 goals in a semi final in 2018. Clearly has not done his research or seen Tom play this or last year. So there you go, maybe some good will come out of this year after all!
  24. Sorry Rusty, but I do not agree with you here. The players have pretty much played the same role week in week out. Now whether that’s in the wrong role is open to discussion. In fact it is a major complaint from most that Goodwin doesn’t change things. Have said it before, the reason we are where we are is simply we are not good enough as a collective group. The bottom 6-10 players picked each week are just not top AFL standard. The same can be said about 10 other clubs.
  25. But didn’t we have that bloke from the Premier League?
