Well it's one way to get the attention of the Gen Z's/youth market
-
I for one was at the game and thought it was clear he (OMAC) was hobbling - I thought the narrative on the access all video's that he was on his haunches - thus stuffed/unfit - was disappointing - and also quite misleading or at least not taking into account some obvious hobbling going on from OMAC.
-
His grunt and preparedness to get smashed (ie: against adelaide 2 years ago as well) - beguiles his pretty boy looks thats for sure.
-
@binman - I agree with the sentiment - AND to add another layer, I find it incredible to see that the replacements cannot hit targets consistently, and surely they should be able to, or even take one grab marks... Mind you... it's not just Melbourne - its 13/14 other teams also.

anyone care to guide through why our i50's are so poor?
-
Just on this... surely the public aren't the only ones aware of how we have an inablity to convert i50's to scoring shots. Goodwin should move away from 'unselfish' football and get everyone to blaze away.... i suspect it'd be more effective. ps... 2 games in one year for having more I50's than your total points scored. Well done Melbourne!

I've just got back from the ground, and luckily my apartment had foxtel record, so i could see the last 2 minutes. Aside from the fumbles... what I have noticed live, is how we handball at all costs... to effing flat footed people... it's incredible and exemplified by OMAC getting tackled in the last 2 minutes at the top of the 50. And that isn't really about OMAC - although I've never seen a player have 3 fresh air swings for a spoil in a game before... By god, we have a lot of work to do... By god, it's great that we can grind out wins when we play like $hite.

Saw Todd Viney, strolling/swaggering down the street about an hour ago - I asked what his take was... he politely told me to eff off - nah , he was quietly and humbly confident that the job would get done. (of course, what else would he say?)
-
Love it @GCDee - they're my thoughts... wouldn't be surprised either way, either... and of course that means you can't get hurt when things go bad from the beginning, or go bad when things have been going well... such is the life of a Melbourne supporter!

Hope you're right @Little Goffy! Also on PBS on Sat - was a tribute to all things 'Little' if you're into 50's 60's soul https://www.pbsfm.org.au/program/soulgroove-66

I'm expecting James Harmes to continue his form - create a range of scoring opportunities, and jag 3 goals. He is a fine fine player and I look forward to seeing him play live for the first time this year. Of the 2014 draft (he was a 2014 rookie,) Brayshaw ANB Petracca OMAC Harmes Brayshaw and him are neck and neck with respect to importance to the team, and their influence on the game, compared to the others.

I like the look of this small electric ford boom tish...
-
there you go.... perhaps I have missed your humour?!? I'm easing myself into some 24 degree weather with some beers in a spa up here in SEQ...
-
That's great @Graeme Yeats' Mullet - thanks It's nice to see Kade in action... some rumours on other sites (and this I believe) that TBC on the injury list means he is finished. Surely he wouldn't be out there if there was some hope.
-
perhaps Steven could point me to his pub of choice as I am up there tomorrow til sunday morn. just on that - he is an adult and he can choose to make his own adult decisions, including, should I and should I not have a bevvy given i am in rehab and given what the team rules are. all clubs take a view that it is up to the individual when they are outside of the club, to pursue what they want in relation to getting the best out of themselves...and the will make the player accountable accordingly...

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DECLAN KEILTY
Engorged Onion replied to Steve13's topic in Melbourne Demons
You've got longer hair than I though and a great speech by yer old man. -
No, there is no rule, and I assume the umpires were umpring for the 'spirit of the game'.... interpret that how you will.
-
For all the haters there is a lot of love for OMAC eh :)
-
Thanks @GCDee and @Docs Demons - that looks like a better option...

Can any locals shed light on the best PT options coming from Palm Beach/Currumbin for the day?
-
huh..I can't see the relevance to my post... this was about hitting a target with great vision and perfect execution, vs kicking for goal.
-
Just a thought - If Jay Lockhart had held the mark in the final 3 minutes and jagged a goal- Petracca would be hailed a genius with that kick.
-
Not bells - this place

I'm surprised at Hunt's capacity in the forward line - he has elements of toughness and does not shirk the contest, yet I feel lacks presence....but perhaps that is just hype from media for others and not our own. I loved the lead where he scored a goal...that felt like early 1990's stuff... am I right in that since he has moved there, he is good for 2 goals or so a game?
-
ill be on the goldy - looking forward to banking some sweet sweet % this week... last time was a 15 goal win right...achievable?
