TEAMS: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
It could be, Gawn used to drop back and help out, but am noticing hes dropped off a lot in this role and I'm unsure why?

GAMEDAY: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Last time we played them we were in a "form" slump. No May, Lever hobbling and Petty off the ground when they got a run-on. Business end of the season, those three playing and we are turning the corner. Collingwood supporters are up and about however they have had an easy run home and only just beaten sides on the bottom. Port by 6pts at home Ess by 4 Crows by 5 North by 7 Suns by 5 Giants at home by 11 That tells me they are super overrated and hanging by a thread. Dees win.

TEAMS: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Correct me if wrong, but we had no May playing, Lever hobbling and Petty off the ground when they had that run-on? Wont be happening again. In fact, most of our losses and teams going on a run resulted from the above happening in games where our talls were off.

Forward Half Concerns
We really are in trouble in the KPF ranks, critical now. Some smart drafting or trading necessary. Brown cooked Weideman just isnt showing enough after 7yrs? M Brown is a fill in Jackson seems gone. TMAC injury prone JVR - who knows

GAMEDAY : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
Haha I'm sure there is more. I'd just like to see team defence, 1percenters and mate-ship on field, taking the game on, run-run-run, switching play across half back, lowering the eyes and getting some forward connection, building each week. some of those things have definitely dropped off, whether coaching or confidence, but now is the time to shine. I'm nervous, but I have faith.

GAMEDAY : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
Business end of the season now, if we are serious and want to defend the title, we need to start ramping up and building form and momentum. If we lose tonight, I dont think the boys are hungry enough. Form from here is a non-negotiable. Have Geelong peaked too early, I hope so.

In Season - Loading/Periodisation: Put your conjecture here.
We also had a much later start to preseason......

Weid or Rooy?
Sean Darcy (Jackson)

Weid or Rooy?
If Jackson goes home, I'd be pushing for Sean Darcy as part of that deal. Looks good forward and played as one as a junior apparently.

Our kick out strategy
We need to nail that kick in, switch and spread. I haven't seen much switching around HB lately either, maybe a confidence thing. IIRC, our form changed last year when we switched, spread and took the game on around HB. Langdon is the play-maker in this scenario, among others. What worked last year certainly isn't working this year, its up to the coaches to find a way now but its got to stop, same thing - kick it to Max every bloody time.

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Geelong
The Cats showed all of their cards last night, we showed them nothing.....

Is our offense a problem?
I've had this thought for a while now but IMO we need to go shopping for two decent key forwards, it needs to be this off season. Trade players while they have value. Brown - game looks past him and nowhere near the player he used to be, age. McDonald - injury prone, age Weideman - not looking good and is now 25. Jackson - hasn't shown much as KPF and will probably go west. Fritsch - cant keep relying on him. Mitch Brown - no, age. Aside from that, we dont have much ready to take a game by the horns. We need a Neitz, Schwarz, Hogan type or two.

2022 Injury List
He's tough, you won't keep this kid down long. He'll play next week.

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Geelong
I do wonder what the ratio of kicking to the left is with our kick ins? Combined with the kick it to Gawn problem. Would love the stats on these.

I'm not a believer at all. Think its just excuses. Other clubs load too, including the side that just belted us (yes should've been more).

I really wish people would stop comparing last year to this year. Current form is all that matters, not what happened last year or even a month ago.
