Brad Green and the current board
Also, what happened to the strategic plan? We had one through to 2023 it seems and the board were meant to present a current plan from my research, however did this eventuate? Do we even have a plan? Seems odd after our period of 21-23.

Brad Green and the current board
Just a hunch as obviously none of us know, but it seems like Smith wants to hit the deck running as we have major issues on and off field, members, sponsors etc and it doesn’t appear Green wants to let go, or want to let go. I personally believe Green should be booted altogether, from board and all.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Exactly, if that’s his approach then it’s a no.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Did I just hear that Steven King has put his hand up? I missed the back end of the conversation

Brad Green and the current board
I think Green is on a power trip and doesn't want to let go.... it may be causing more damage across the club than what people realise, also considering how it looks to prospective coaches....

Sounds like Green has got on a power trip and doesn’t want to let go…

GAMEDAY: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn
JVR is one of the most overrated players amongst Dees fans. I’ll say it again, he’s a bust. No forward craft at all, doesn’t lead, ball bounces off his hands and can barely take a mark, always playing from behind. Poorly coached, but won’t make it.

GAMEDAY: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn
Petracca, Oliver, Langdon, May, Viney all look terrible. Trac and Oliver don’t even look like they want to be there

GAMEDAY: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn
Petty is a backman. Tired of this experiment

GAMEDAY: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn
There are some pathetic effort smothers going on, multiple lacklustre attempts. I don’t see what bringing May back achieves, games into Adams would’ve been more beneficial.

Simon Goodwin Sacked
While I agree to a certain extent, We need to stop thinking like a small club.

We saw the results on field and they were poor, very poor actually. But also consider loss of members and sponsors as we’ve heard the last week or two. There’s more to this than just Goodwin himself

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Sounds like we are keen on Buckley but setting up a panel/committee to save face and make it look like it's a thorough search. Can't say I'm overly impressed "if" that committee consists of Green, a CEO who hasn't even started or has football background and Richardson, who many thought would be first to go. What if Buckley pulls out? Do we trust these guys?

Cam Bruce to Melbourne?
Cam is a different kettle of fish, he comes from successful organisations and has build a good foundation of skills outside of the Melbourne way, it is this reason I think Nathan Jones should be moved on after this year (plus he is the under performing midfield/stoppage coach), having lost 75% of all the games he played at the club, go learn your craft at other successful organisations and potentially come back one day. The last thing we need is the boys' club raring it's head again, which it looks like it is already underway. Cam has the added benefit of doing his apprenticeship under Clarkson & now Fagan.

Totally agree, 100%. Normally always an ulterior motive behind them, it's often the managers with loose lips.

GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Kozzy seems way off today

GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Taking the game, clearing out the forward line - where’s that been for years? Even Petracca back playing hard at it again.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Buckley Coach, Simpson to take Richo's role and Sanderson as senior assistant?
-
Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Yes 0-3, but we finished 2024 1-5 from memory, combine the NM loss in round 2, then makes sense.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
What year was it that Sam McCLure got a call right? You'd think Tom Morris or Caro would have a closer ear to the ground.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Longmire playing coy for obvious reasons, but I'd bet a coin or two that he has already been asked and those talks were started a while back and escalated recently. Just a guess, but I think the job is his if he wants it, but he will do his own due diligence. We will set up a panel to decide on untried assistants if Longmire doesn't want it. Phil Davis is right and we all know it, Casey is a huge issue, but it's not every training session. Whatever we do, we need to bring in people from successful organisations, ie; Swans and Cats. I'd be all for Longmire for 5yrs with a succession plan with Enright (he will have Bomber Thompson, Chris Scott, Ross Lyon & then Longmire as his mentors). However you'd think Longmire will bring his own army.

Great interview and lays it all out professionally, all will be OK.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Apparently Paul Roos has endorsed John Longmire this morning, so watch this space.
