  1. This is just cruel. I’m devastated for her.
  2. In determining whether any current players will make the 2000 team of the century, I'm of the view that the selectors will be our great grandchildren and probably not up to date with current talent. They'd probably take one look at the 2010-2020 results and look no further. In evaluating the 1900 team of the century, only two players made the team from pre 1930's (Bert Chadwick and Ivor Warne-Smith, who won two Brownlows). 6 players from the three-peat team 1939-1941 and 11 from the most dominant team of all time in the 50's. More recently than 1965, the selectors picked Hardeman, Flower, Lyon, Stynes and Viney. I'd imagine the 2000 team of the century will have much the same profile, unless we start winning a bunch of flags soon (hoping).
  3. I wonder if they used dominion vote counting machines
  4. If you listen to the Alan Richardson segment on SEN (other thread), selecting Majak was really based on timing. They looked closely at a number of options including Paddy McCartin and younger players, but ruled them out based on a potential need for an early season callup to the ones. Paddy McCartin was discussed at some length, was seen as the player with highest talent against others named; but needed 4 weeks training non-contact, 4 weeks training with contact and then a couple of games before he would be viewed as available for selection - so was not considered further based on timing. Richo suggested a number of clubs would be looking at how he fared in the Sydney 2's.
  5. If any of the Dees ladies are reading this, they’ll know where to get a Parma afterwards
  6. I’m not sure the club will do much better than Majak as a backup option - for all the posters here saying no, who should we go for instead? I wish him all the best with his second chance, hope he grabs it by the ears.
  7. If GCS folded and moved to Tassie, I feel it would be an oxymoron to have the Hobart Suns
  8. To the optimist the glass is half full, to the pessimist the glass is half empty To the MFc supporter there is another half a dozen glasses needed
  9. Just a very impressive showing against quality opposition, who were always going to make a charge. Great win for the girls. Go dees
  10. Hope the boys play like that this year.
  11. Great ball movement and desperation love Goldie in the backline
  12. Definitely taking advantage of what seems to be the scoring end even though it doesn’t look windy
  13. Great kick for goal from the pocket Shelley Scott
  14. Ripper of a kick from Daisy to setup Tegan’s goal
  15. Should have gone with ā€œKozzie, Kozzie, Kozzie - oi, oi, oi: Where are you?ā€
  16. Trac reminds you of yourself PF > Lost half my coffee with that gem. Loved the report, super effort. Thanks very much
  17. From the club's twitter account today at training. Got to admire the resilience. Webber was all over it when he suggested there was nothing stopping Sam building the upper body. Looks like he's made a pretty good start of it already.
  18. We also have Max who can spend time forward if necessary as a tall option. If I was going to supplement the list, it would be a backup for Max rather than a key forward (who could then also be a resting forward option).
  19. At least he's still got hosting Millionaire to get him out of the house.
  20. They're already reviewing drafts Steve. I've got a bootleg copy
  21. It's a great post FD> I would however refer you to the comma and full stop keys which are next to the "M"!
  22. Brad Green is my hero - going all the way to Perth and locking himself in a room to avoid going for a run.
  23. The prosecution rests your honour
  24. Great report and welcome to Demonlad. With a report like that, you can promote yourself from the back pocket to full forward.
