  3. This thread reminds me of olisik last year where he consistently had us losing and dropping out of the 4 with everyone else winning every game. Brisbane didn't look polished last week against the Saints and would have lost if King had kicked straight. Our results over the last 8 weeks haven't been awful - R15 Beat Lions by 64, R16 Beat Crows by 29, R17 Lost to Geelong by 28, R18 Beat Port by 14, R19 Lost to Bulldogs by 10, R20 Beat Freo by 46, R21 Lost to Pies by 7 and R22 Beat Carlton by 5. If you judge us by results alone - we dropped two close ones we should have won to Bulldogs and Pies, we've won 5/8 games convincingly with really the game in the dark at the cattery the only real blemish (IMHO). With the talent we have, and our ability to win contested ball (finals style footy), we have every chance of hitting a sweet spot in the finals and I wouldn't write us off just yet (starting this Friday night).
  4. I don’t know how many down field free kicks we gave away last night for a bump on the kicker after the kick, but they blew the whistle on it all night and we just kept giving them away. Clarry got pinged more than once, we should have learned and backed off.
  5. Ed Langdon would have to be a deliveroo bike rider wouldn’t he?
  6. I agree bin.
  7. Whilst I didn't know that, it hasn't stopped me from calling them a bunch of cox
  8. Like all good lawyers, he’s paid by the sentence
  9. Was it Lachie Hunter that took out half a street of parked cars?
  10. Agree with all of this. My only inclusion (forgive me if already stated) is that the player moving forward to take his set shot needs to be walking straight towards his intended target (whether it be the goal post or centre of goals). The amount of shots I've seen this year where the player is walking straight towards the middle of the point posts - and that's where it invariably goes - is both totally predicable and absolutely infuriating.
  11. Re-posting this (nice work Dee-monic) to answer the questions raised above.
  12. 2 out of 3 experts agree
  13. Just watched the last quarter of the 2017 QB game on Kayo, where Jack Watts kicked the sealer. The ball was parked in our forward 50 for most of that quarter and our pressure was fantastic. Another game like that tonight (with a bigger margin) would be brilliant. And I'll never forget the roar from behind us at that Punt Rd end when Jack kicked that goal. Goosebumps.
  14. Fishing for a reactio n
  15. Most of my 4 irons also limp into the bushes and I can't see where they go, apart from obviously not straight.
  16. It doesn't mean a prisoner going back to jail, which is what I'm sure they'd be thinking.
  17. That's a bit harsh WAL, he was certainly like this 2017-18 (defensively) but he's been much much better in the last season and a half. He might even have been in our GF team if it wasn't for his hammy.
  18. I reckon you'd end up with alcohol poisoning if you followed those rules....
  19. This is a sensible view Earl, but in my humble opinion Dogga was a key (if not the key) point of difference between us winning the flag and not. That 3rd quarter. It's one thing to be in a premiership window, but it's another to get over the line in that final game. I'm torn between having a Geelong length run in finals but going nowhere vs Brisbane three-peat then falling off the cliff. I think I'd rather take the Brisbane scenario, and for that I reckon we need to keep Jackson.
  20. Most of the rest.
  21. On a 5 year deal
  22. To be fair, we approached Adam Cerra last year despite the fact we didn't have much to offer Freo.
  23. No he don't back down.
