The club absolutely had to stand up to the online threats against Goodwin that went too far, which Green's letter did. IMHO this is the only reason he wrote the letter. Unfortunately the lion's share of supporters including myself were looking for the club to (also) make some sort of a statement on how the club will respond as a whole (incl. board) to a particularly devestating result in a season of ongoing disappointments that compounds on the 0-5 start we had to the year. The standards you walk past are the standards you're willing to accept. The letter merely acknowledging frustration and that the "Board and I are committed to doing everything required to have our AFL program performing at the level we all expect" doesn't really cut it.

Anyone comparing a particularly bad quarter of footy yesterday against 186 has rocks in their head.
