  1. And no reports/suspensions.
  2. Goody said about eleventeen times in his post match presser that he was really proud of what we did when we didn't have the ball. Maybe Tom's game exemplified this (?) whilst not reflected in the stats sheet.
  3. Agreed, it is a wonderful and moving occasion. So much so my wife is coming along as well, she's on the record as saying she's happy to come just to watch the pre-match ceremony and then go home (but she'll grudgingly stay for the game).
  4. This is exactly how Richmond were in 2017 (and they won the flag) - the one tall in the forward line option with Riewoldt (who isn't that tall), but needed a team playing quick footy and applying forward pressure as you suggest.
  5. She’s better than she used to be - in the past, she’d try to create a newspaper headline after every goal which became really cringy. She’s pared that back thankfully. I did find it amusing that she called two possessions for Disco Turner in the third after he’d been subbed off for concussion.
  6. They took McVee off at 3QT, so judging him by his stats might be a bit skewed.
  7. Re: Shai Bolton flying for a speccy and hitting Disco Turner flush in the back of his head with his knee (I’d contend a missile) Whilst many accept he shouldn’t get time off for this, and protecting the speccy is high on the AFL agenda, doesn’t Bolton have a duty of care as a player who can elevate himself to head height without having to ride up the opponents back? I’m of the view the AFL are heavily blinkered when it comes to concussion and it [censored] me that they bandy around duty of care at the tribunal when it suits them.
  8. I’ve seen Freo a couple of times this year at Optus, and one thing stood out for me - they really missed Luke Jackson yesterday. And yes, I know we were missing players too, but he’s such a versatile weapon for them. Love to have him back
  9. Apologies if this repeats an earlier post, but I thought we looked really dangerous at centre bounces due to handballing through the congestion and having really good position for i50 entries. Ripped them apart a number of times.
  10. Loved the cheer squad really trying to generate some noise in the last quarter, then the score board had a “make some noise” screen, showing the cheer squad which only amped them up more. Super effort by the demon army, rest up the tonsils on a short turnaround
  11. The change in our gameplay was stark in the last, much less playing on. Last qtrs def still a worry But gees I’m proud of the boys, played their hearts out

I'd like Longmire because (1) he's always making the finals and semi-regularly grannies, and (2) to date he plays half a year on a ground the size of a postage stamp and only gets 1-2 games on the G a year. Give him a home ground of the G which he'll then learn to play better, and I reckon he'd then have a better strike rate in grannies.
  13. I'd reckon Freo by under 40 must be paying a fortune.
  14. Not exactly under the Bevo thread, but we should go after horse as hard as possible if we're making a change. If he plays 12+ games a year at the G, he'll win a flag.
  15. Congrats to Fritta and Natalie. Also a job well done for not having this baby in grand final week. Good planning, not that I think it matters.
  16. Maybe the boys could learn some evasive skills from the dog.

I don't believe we will be making any coaching change until we have a CEO and Brad Green has passed the reigns over to the new President who would co-own this. So at least until the end of the year? If the executive team believe a change is now becoming timely in a couple of months due to ongoing poor performances, any delay based on the above and I fear we'll potentially both miss the boat with the pick of available premium coaches as well as lose significant footballing talent if we're not on the front foot with planning, recruitment, messaging and execution.
  18. Were you whipping yourself while you watched? That said, I reckon I'd yell just as hard a second time at the goal at 3QT which was kicked about 5 mins after the siren. SMH.
  19. Nailed it Harvey. How much are we going to win by tomorrow, prognosticator of prognosticators?
  20. I like your changes Harves.
  21. You don't need to add the kick in the guts picket, and I hope TC plays tmw as well.
  22. I wonder if Custer was standing at little bighorn thinking to himself that this is a Custer [censored]
  23. Expecting an honourable loss while the team adapt to the new game plan. Don't think this will be a 186 per the doomsayers. it was clear last weekend that they were hesitant with handballing and not playing instinctively, unsure of whether they were executing the right option and as a result there were some disposal shockers that landed in no mans land and putting the would be recipient immediately under the pump. I'm heartened we're sticking the course though, even if this is tough to watch at the moment. If you look at Hawthorn this time last year they were a rabble too. We might win a couple more games playing 2023 football, but we won't go far. I'm hoping an injection of pace this week brings a bit of confidence through observed positive results and we're off and away (even if we don't get the result).
  24. Hello dark mode my old friend
