  1. ...Assume Dawes kicked it along the boundary line instead of into the middle of the ground, in a close contest in the last seconds of the game.
  2. He's a sniper for sure, but that wasn't snipey. Watts hand gouge to his face was more snipey. All Mitchell did was react instinctively imo and probably went too far with the slap. He's lucky he didn't make more forceful contact, that's all
  3. The only drama I had with tMAC on the weekend was when he played on without thinking next to Cyril. Haha, big mistake. I suppose its more a team tactic, but he still should be doing a very quick assessment of his surroundings instead of playing on as his immediate reaction.
  4. That's the creepiest thing i've read on this forum.
  5. Nothing new here, just adding to the hype-train. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/super-footy-podcast-round-20-melbourne-must-get-michael-hurley-brisbanes-woe-bartels-spanner-in-the-works/news-story/1d0be64f0bda59ac90f8100c5c81d285?nk=79f882af6b1255f2ff5dd8e49c85ea48-1470632300 MELBOURNE must get Michael Hurley. That’s the verdict of Herald Sun football writer Jon Anderson, who told the SuperFooty Podcast that the time was right for the Demons. “They’re looking at Michael Hurley, don’t worry about that,” Anderson told Anthony Hudson and Mick Warner in the SuperFooty bunker “Tom McDonald is a really good key defender, but they need another one.” Huddo said Hurley was no closer to making a decision than he was when he went on holidays with several of the banned Bombers last month. “Talking to people from the Essendon camp, they were really counting on the time away with all the mates that that was going to be a real positive for him to come back and maybe he would say yes,” Huddo said. “But my information within the last three or four days is that his mind hasn’t changed in terms of going back to Essendon.” MICHAEL HURLEY WILL LEAVE ESSENDON SAYS PAUL CHAPMAN Ando said Hurley would do his due diligence before making a decision. “Speaking to someone who knows him very well, Michael Hurley will go to the club he thinks is best prepared, best set up to win a premiership,” Ando said. “He’s a very, very single minded young man who is no dill, and he’ll just go through everything possible to ensure, in his mind, he is going to the right place.”
  6. I'd consider trading him and Chris Dawes to Brisbane for Daniel Merrett. No point splitting them up.
  7. Hawk fan: The big point that no one is talking about (they're too busy circle jerking over us losing) is that without Frawley we had next to zero defensive structure. Me: Without Melbourne, you wouldn't have Frawley. Think about his impact on the defensive structure of Melbourne. How would the Hawthorn forward line have gone against him? The irony is so delicious.
  8. Idea for Mods: Add the date of the thread creation with the list of threads in the forum. I thought Jack had just signed a 4 year deal.
  9. Freo leading WCE by 8, almost half time. Eagles only 8 points ahead of Saints with Haw, GWS and ADEL to come. Unfortunately 3 games and percentage ahead of us. Our game against them could have been a missed opportunity to (potentially) claim 7th and play the Dogs, what a game. Oh well fantasy now If we don't make the 8, i'd be pretty happy for StKilda and the Kangas to make it. [censored] the boring away game eagles. what a waste of a finals game they'd be at the G
  10. Imagine if they scheduled it at Simmonds Stadium, it would be the ultimate insult. :/ Lucky the stand is being re-built, so no finals there.
  11. I think most likely is Sydney and GWS win by 30, and we beat Port & Carl by 30. and Geel 12 and make the 8. Us needing to win any game by 60 is probably not necessary.
  12. I'm going to be so conflicted next week barracking for Hawthorn. The more I barrack for the bottom teams of the 8 to have their ass fall out from under them, the more i strengthen the likelihood of the Hawks gaining momentum and 4peating They'll probably need to win and win big to get into the top 4. It will be a ferocious match if we can make the 8, i can't wait. Any maths people out there know the margins? I used ladder predictor and if they lose their games by 12 and we win ours by 12, we're still down by 2.7. Now if the Kangas lose two of their games by 30, then we need to win two of our games by 30 to make the 8. Kangas lose 1 game by 60, then we only need to win one of our games by 30. Kangas lose 1 game by 30, then we need to win 3 games by 30 OR 1 game by 30 and 1 game by 60. Kangas lose all of their games by 30, we only need 1 game by 30 Once above criteria fits, hope St Kilda lose 1 game. By the way, discussing this doesn't automatically mean we're taking Port likely and i would also hope that our coaches and players will be aware of the margins if we're in a position where we're winning any of the next 3 games. I would really hope that if we're beating Geelong, then everyone is aware of how many more points we need to score.
  13. The NO CHANGE brigade shouldn't be so quick to ascribe Hogan out as one of the causal factors in that win. It might have been a cause for us not winning by 55 points (No offence Pederson) Who knows. Hogan may come in and help us destroy Port by a lot more than if be the difference that can get us over the line. Pederson has some fitness queries doesn't he? Port will run him around. If Hogan replaces Garlett and Pedo stays, then I think we need Kennedy in. Port are a running team and their win against us last time around was across the board, We need to bring the same effort from yesterday, obviously.
  14. I thought Vandenburg contributed some valuable body work, tackling and handballs in congestion. 14 possessions and a goal. Servicable Frost: solid effort (but please don't try and squeeze between two hawthorn tacklers!) Harmes: Double fend off
  15. Will that trade come with extra expenses for his prosthetic leg?
  16. Best win since 1994 Qualifying final, 7th place Melbourne beating Carlton at the G. With Schwarz going nuts in the last half, it was his Wayne Carey moment. Me and my dad were having a great time. Similar match to this. Carlton were a really strong side that year and we showed up and dominated them out of nowhere, it was ecstatic.
  17. Umpires were biased and won it for the dees, what a disgrace. biggest cheats ever, are they paying them off? /s
  18. I will, better comments on forums with neutrals without the biased emotional garbage whinging about umpires every comment.
  19. Is there any non-umpire discussion in this thread? insightful stuff in here. Just whinging
  20. How do we feel about this performance without Hogan? Hogan for Fyfe?
