  1. Just play the ball GAWN, umpire will give you less if you shout out for a free in the midle of play
  2. A regular pack mark for him. Wiedeman does that and you'd cum all over the neighbours
  3. I'd add 'Bloodline' to that list, criminally underrated at present as it might be a little slow for some. Stars Ben Mendelsohn who was nominated for best supporting actor but lost to Mr Robot's Christian Slater. Now two seasons in and it's almost as gripping as Breaking Bad in terms of causes and effects, twists and turns Also enjoyed 'Rectify' if you want a slow burning show that follows the rehabilitation of a wrongfully convicted man who has been in prison for 10+ years
  4. Me too. Feels like our grand final for the year. It's far more satisfying to watch how we stack up against the best than it is to watch a like for like battle like v stkilda, even with the prospect of winning far more unlikely. It's also satisfying just to see Hawthorn up close and how they zone and spread and move the ball, in dry weather.
  5. Brian Lake interestingly said for away games, the hawks had pre-planned meal and meal sizes as the tendency in hotels is to eat too much at the Buffet! They're obviously a club that tries to eliminate all variables
  6. I'm not talking about tanking ie winning culture, im talking about wanting richmond and collingwood to win their remaining games so we have a better draw next year, it has more rationale than cheering for them to lose because they're wealthy club and popular clubs with "feral" fans, which is mere pettiness. I'm not wishing for any losses, i'm just saying on the balance of probability, we will lose to hawthorn and in response to that I say i hope coll/rich win all of their games and overtake us and let us play 3 bottom clubs, instead of 3 middle clubs. It's not about cowering from teams but acknowledging that fixturing does determine how you finish, your momentum and other issues. Its not the sole determining factor, but its a bigger factor than some would like to admit. There's also the idea that maybe the momentum of an easier fixture can help set you up so that you're better placed mentally to take on higher quality teams. I think there's no coincidence that GWS & Geel are higher than WCE and Kangas this year, they have much easier fixtures
  7. I dont think it makes a difference if Richmond and Collingwood win more than us coming home nor does it benefit us in any way if they lose, I don't know about you, but I don't have any pies/tiges workmate to be competitive with over final ladder possies. All I know is if both teams win more, we can have an easier draw next year in the event that we in all probability lose to hawks/geel. If its a choice between Bris, GCS, Carl, Coll, Haw x2 [or] Bris, Coll, Port, Stk, Haw x2. Yeah I think i'll hope rich and coll win all of their games.
  8. It would be better for us if we finished in the bottom 6 for next years draw while still winning some of our last months games. What you want is for both clubs to finish just as strongly as us. We just need to drop the one game, Hawthorn for example. Go Pies! Go Tiges! Though, Freo might have a resurgence and playing them twice if they return to their top of the ladder form wouldn't be great.
  9. Vickery playing well tonight, who would have thought that fast delivery into the forward line would suit him... Already had a game with more contribution than any of Dawes all year. I don't think ive seen him this year in space.
  10. The umpire is used to thinking big players losing contests to small players is so rare that it must be a jumper tug or hand obstruction. Nah it's just an American player
  11. Grigg getting in the way of Vickery's lead and third goal . Still want Dawes?
  12. Would Vickery be worth a year if he was used as a tactical pinch hitter that could play around 6 to 8 games and kick 10-15 goals ? Seems like more of a list contribution than having players in the VFL all year. Prefer an injury free dud than an injury riddled dud
  13. I think everyone has the same fantasy about a ruck/forward clunking marks and kicking bags every game and then filling in for the ruck. But it never really happens at any club. Rarely anyway.
  14. Sounds like something to do with an orgy, as usual with footballers. Well anyway, i'll start my own nickname then. I'm pretty happy this week that 'Please sir I want some more' has been selected
  15. I'd prefer him to play at the MCG and look at the best teams zone defence than over at Port where he needs to run all day and play a team that has a basic bottom level defence. Hawthorn might be a very valuable experience Hell, even with low odds of winning v Hawthorn every year, they are my most anticipated game when its at the G. I don't get to see Hawthorn often, but i like seeing how the best set up. I'm sure Wiedemann would anticipate the same thing, rather than be afraid of being bashed to smithereens. (Please stay away from Luke Hodge my sweet prince)
  16. Maybe we don't need to ask TMAC if he's happy, but if he thinks our defence needs time to develop or if we need to bring in a KPD Maybe his financial contentment is tied to the years he's put in and his confidence in our current defence needing a year or two more development rather than throwing big money at someone who hasn't done as much hard work at OUR club to get the payoff. and maybe he feels his brothers position in the side is directly tied to Hurleys. I would hazarrd a guess and say Tom might have just as much confidence in the current defence developing into a premiership contention level over the next few years, as we have of the midfield and attack. I can empathise with him have having even a grain of frustration
  17. Rance! TMac! Hurley! You put your KPD in You put your KPD out You put your KPD in And you offer him all around You do the KPD pokie And you trade em around That's what it's all about
  18. Dawes for Daw is the trade that has cosmic implications. A trade that has been waiting many millenia to synchronistically appear. I believe it's a message, It is fate. It is Majak Just saw afl 360 with Michael Barlow talking about doing podcasts and his career post footy, he's only 28. Seems like a good bloke and mature leader we could use for 2 or 3 years and depth at worse to replace the other non-future depth. What do we think of him?
  19. Maybe we should measure our clubs success in how early the trade forum is opened. This year it will probably be open one or two weeks later. Hopefully next year it's opened sometime in September.
  20. How many tree's would have to die in order to publish a book about all of the melbourne trades that never came to fruition?
  21. I'd choose Majak Daw's.......... body to undergo experimental gene splicing therapy with Nathan Jones' blood, to mutate and increase Majaks Football IQ James Hird was a lightweight.
  22. I wouldn't say Robbo is so unprofessional as to have been drinking while on 360, but i can definitely see the long term effects it has on his speed of recall and the split second it takes to put the right words to his thoughts
  23. Is it just me or does it seem like Mike Sheehan attends a lot of ex-player parties? Is Mike Sheehan a well known socialite?
  24. Hurley and Hibberd is enough. I don't think we need to continue the draft pick upheaval until we've seen how we go from there the following year with a more solid defence. We should keep our options open in regards to what we need in 2018, we may need a forward and a midfielder/defender and having two first rounds (2017+2018) to work with will be more helpful. This begs the question, Who is most likely to be available at the end of 2017? Any nostradamus' in the forum?
