Farewell Jesse Hogan
Something to do with these two ^ Hopefully that thread doesn't last even a round!

Andrew Brayshaw
Didn't watch any Freo games this year aside from our game. What kind of player is Brayshaw? Or will become?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
There will be plenty of people playfully boo'ing an ex player without any spite, just because it comes with the territory of departing a club. Surely someone as highly intelligent and enlightened as you wouldn't set yourself up for the disappointment. ?

Pass Mark 2019
My pass mark will be no greater than one or two 20-30+ point losses max. So playing to win every single quarter. Obviously a tonne of close losses will be a fail if they're against weaker teams, but if we win all of the games we should and have a health balance of close wins/losses against good opponents then we'll be in good stead for the finals, we'll be good enough to really push deep into the finals and potentially win a prelim. Close prelim game is the finals pass mark I suppose. I don't want any of that Hawthorn & Collingwood nonsense repeated next year. If we have an off day, we better back it up with a fierce response. Should put us on track to win about 15/16 games.

2019 Fixture
They're a young team, but they're so off the mark structurally. I think Adelaide are the prime candidate for surging towards an easy run towards a grand final next year! Edit: I wonder, is the draw divided into 3 groups alone? Or is there a graded seeding of all 18 clubs ? is 13th the same as 18th fixture wise? Is 12th the same as 7th? So how far is 12th Adelaide from 13th Bulldogs?

On a selfish level, im curious to see how many pages we can get up to over the course of his career.

Meanwhile over on King street, a traditional rival is unveiling their new recruit in the likeness of a patron of the spearmint rhino

Farewell Jesse Hogan
He's definitely ahead of JDG on the scales I hope Tracc follows in the footsteps of Gawn and comes back ripe and has a big off season and sheds a few kilo's. Perhaps it's what stands in the way of him becoming as explosive a burst player as Goey

Welcome to Demonland Toby Bedford
He sounds like Dane Swan if true, although his taste was for unapologetically bashing security guards.

So what would he offer if we recruited pace from elsewhere? Because we've done that with the additon of May and KK, and with a DL'ers convo with member of MFC coaching staff, Jayden Hunt being very much in the frame next year. So Frost must now have more redeemable qualities than just pace. He becomes depth I think because his qualities as a KPD 1 on 1 defender are not up to a high enough standard.

The top comment predicted the media would try and spin it into an imaginary player rift despite it being just pis taking banter. Getting in early?

Recruiting a 3rd tall forward to find another 50 goals?
@Satyriconhome Of course they have a plan, that's bleeding obvious, but that doesn't mean supporters can't speculate and hypothesize on what they think the club should/will do. The Pick 23 Thread would be a boring place if the only answer to "who we should pick up?" is "Goody has a plan" Let me reiterate about this thread. This isn't a 'CRISIS CRISIS HOGAN GONE WHAT DO WE DO!" thread, It's just a thread that is asking what do we think the recruitment direction will be in this years draft and next years trade/FA period for the forward line now that we have less depth. We've addressed our defence, we perhaps have only partially addressed the need for speed and outside run, and our forward line will be put more in the spotlight in terms of drafting/recruitment in the future now that we've taken 1 player out.

Yeah. I can't believe Freo know nothing about his foot amputation surgery booked in for next week.

Recruiting a 3rd tall forward to find another 50 goals?
Hadn't forgotten TMAC. I mean't TMac/Weed become our 2 KPF's, so perhaps the better question was: Who is our depth KPF given many have asked "what if Weid or Tmac get injured? Tim Smith is not the greatest option long term. Fair enough we spread the goal kicking load and also use Gawn/Preuss. Just thought an additional player that can play 3rd tall but fill in the gap with an injury, would be handy. A player in a similar style to Josh Bruce. I never saw Preuss/Gawn as the prototypical permanent forward, but perhaps Cox has changed the FD's mind.

We'll get to 800 over 8 years if Jesse wins a few Colemans- Recruiting a 3rd tall forward to find another 50 goals?
He played forward all year and contributed significantly? I just mean there will now be extra pressure on the others to contribute the amount of dependable goals we've lost now that Hogan has moved on.- Recruiting a 3rd tall forward to find another 50 goals?
I know we've got Preuss/Gawn/Smith and of course Weideman to piece together the 50 or so needed, but would we need to draft or recruit another player? At least as depth to fight for a spot with Tim Smith?- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
