  1. Marchbank claimed he touched one of Sydney's goals in the last quarter. He was on the bench at the time.........
  2. Gold Coast will want to trade it for as many draft pick points as possible to cover for their academy kids. GC give Pick 4 (2034 points) Dees give Pick 15 (1112 points) + Pick 34 (542 points) + Future first (1112 points if we finish in same spot next year) I think we will get a 2023 or 2024 second round pick from Port for Brodie Grundy anyway, so 34 won't be needed. Will leave us with Pick 4, Pick 5 and Pick 24
  3. James Frawley deserved to be listed. One of the few Demon defenders to be named All-Australian.

If he stays, I'm OK with having a solid back-up plan for Max, who is into his thirties, and has a history of long-term injuries. If he goes to Port, I'm OK with it as we can move a big contract off our books, and potentially get a player like Georgiades coming back the other way.

I wonder whether this guy will ever suffer ramifications for poor performances.......
  6. Has put contract talks on hold. Was very good on the weekend.
  7. The Melbourne player he didn't know much about, but has been really impressed by over the pre-season?
  8. Ummmmm Gary Buckenara had a few interesting takes........ He rated Oscar Baker as a B grade player amongst players such as Grundy, Langdon, Pickett and Fritsch He also says that he expected us to offload some players for salary cap relief to bring Grundy in, and suggested Ed Langdon as one of the players we could/should have offloaded. Wow.
  9. https://player.whooshkaa.com/episode?id=1050872 Tim Lamb reviews our trade period on SEN at the above link
  10. In 12 months time we will have a similar situation with JVR requesting a trade to the Eagles.
  11. I hope this is a sign that Port has stopped chasing Kozzie. Or that Kozzie has told them to f off.
  12. Since coming back from his knee, he seems to have lost his pace a bit. Whether that is a confidence issue or a consequence from the knee injury, I am not sure. All the best to him if he leaves though, as he seems to be a great bloke.
  13. Time to go and get Deven Robertson. We loved him in his draft year. He is apparently unhappy with lack of games at Brisbane and with Dunkley and Ashcroft coming in, that means he potentially has even less game-time now. Brisbane will need picks to satisfy the Dogs and to get Ashcroft as F/S. I hope we ask the question. He would be an upgrade on Harmes, Jordon, Sparrow or ANB at the least.

Was in the VFL team of the year as a back pocket this year. Played for North. Hope he gets another opportunity at AFL level. Played some good games for us before his knee injuries.
  15. Trengove had the same injury and was never the same. Unfortunately it might be the same for TMac

Reminds me a bit of our former player Tim Smith Looks good at VFL level, can take a grab, but isn't quite big enough to be a KPF at AFL level. Isn't consistent enough at AFL level to be an answer to our forward half woes.
  17. Jon Ralph has revealed our "mega asking price" in the Heraldsun: "Melbourne will begin negotiations over a trade for Luke Jackson demanding the king-sized ransom of two top-10 selections and with Fremantle the overwhelming favourite to secure his services."
  18. Out: Salem, Melksham, Neal-Bullen In: Bowey, T. Mcdonald/Van Rooyen, Bedford
  19. His instagram username has always had a 12 in it. It's been there since before he was drafted. He did remove the "#6" from his instagram bio though. I'm not sure of the reasoning for the removal.
  20. Brayden Ham from the Bombers is reportedly looking at his options. With "vic rivals interested". https://www.afl.com.au/news/832727/roos-open-to-offers-on-no-1-pick-out-of-favour-bomber-seeks-trade We have had interest previously. Wouldn't be surprised if we are asking the question again.

    This is the official rule:
  22. Last year the 2nd Qualifying final (2nd vs 3rd) was the first final played on the Friday. If the same happens again, then Papley would miss the game due to 12 day mandatory lay-off for his concussion.

How much does Robbo love Hird honestly..... Like clockwork, he was always going to write this
  24. Dip in form of Jordon was no doubt caused by that knock to his medial ligament that happened a couple weeks ago. Been strapped since. No Weideman in emergencies is telling. Shows how far back he is.
