There was a clear directive to use the corridor more. However, with our poor disposal by foot (which I hope is just rust), we turned it over which meant we were exposed with players free/defenders out of position. Kozzy was impressive in the middle with his clearance work, however he burned a number of teammates by continuing to wheel around the corner and bomb it into the fwd 50. If he gives the handball out to our exit options like Langdon and Windsor, they would be better balanced to kick the ball inside 50, leading to more efficient entries. Neal-Bullen was given a significant amount of minutes in the midfield which I am not sure about. We lacked forward pressure inside 50 which he is renowned for with his pressure acts. I really hoped to see examples of us hitting up the short targets in our forward line, but more often than not it was the same old tactic of bomb it in long, and hope for the best.

It is a complete no no for opposition list managers to state a player wants to leave a club. Even if they throw in "at some stage". Reid has no right to comment on an opposition player's 'desire' in this manner. Demons will rightly be livid with this.

The club got rid of Watts for behavioural stuff, and a lot of fans weren't happy with it at the time. We got Fritsch out of it and it turned out alright. If Oliver does leave, then his behavioural issues were obviously so concerning that the club had to make the move. Willing to back the club in.

Gold Coast will want to trade it for as many draft pick points as possible to cover for their academy kids. GC give Pick 4 (2034 points) Dees give Pick 15 (1112 points) + Pick 34 (542 points) + Future first (1112 points if we finish in same spot next year) I think we will get a 2023 or 2024 second round pick from Port for Brodie Grundy anyway, so 34 won't be needed. Will leave us with Pick 4, Pick 5 and Pick 24

James Frawley deserved to be listed. One of the few Demon defenders to be named All-Australian.

If he stays, I'm OK with having a solid back-up plan for Max, who is into his thirties, and has a history of long-term injuries. If he goes to Port, I'm OK with it as we can move a big contract off our books, and potentially get a player like Georgiades coming back the other way.

Ummmmm Gary Buckenara had a few interesting takes........ He rated Oscar Baker as a B grade player amongst players such as Grundy, Langdon, Pickett and Fritsch He also says that he expected us to offload some players for salary cap relief to bring Grundy in, and suggested Ed Langdon as one of the players we could/should have offloaded. Wow.

In 12 months time we will have a similar situation with JVR requesting a trade to the Eagles.
