I'd go to Geelong and say we'll give you Watts and 35 for Cam Guthrie. Promise him midfield time. Hasn't been given much with the inclusion of Dangerfield. He's got some speed and good around stoppages. Before Danger he looked like becoming a real top-of-the-line mid. Lack of minutes have cost him IMO. Demon supporter as a kid, out of contract at end of 2018.

So Hogan is upset Watts is traded one hour down the highway to Geelong, so intends to ask for a trade to the other side of the county. They are just reporting a story that people will want to know about. It was written in the Perth Now, simply to get clicks and sell papers.

I'm nervous about 2018. Going into next year, reminds me of going into the 2011 year. We had shown strong improvement up until that stage under Bailey and then had a horror year. Kane Cornes has just gone with the opinion that Jarman Impey is worth a pick between 20-30. Cmon Kane. You'd be lucky to get a pick between 30-40.

On SEN they mentioned Geelong are interested in Watts, along with Collingwood, West Coast and Port. I can see Geelong using him to fill the role of Menzel. They seemed to be targeting Stringer for that but he seems to be off to Essendon. I can see them diverting their attention to Watts after that. Now pick 20 from the Cats would be a perfect price for Watts IMO. He'll also like taking over the no. 4 at the cattery following Mackie's departure too.
