Neville Jetta
Great servant, and much loved, but.....this year it looked like his legs were gone unfortunately. Let him go, and have Phillips come the other way. If steak knives are needed in some form so be it.

Tom Phillips - Outside Skills and Speed
Reported on SEN that Collingwood has told Phillips that they are open to trading him. We must ask the question. Perfect for the left sided wing as a left footer. 24 years of age. Runs all day. I would be prioritising Phillips over Smith. Get it done Dees.

Jack Viney Restricted Free Agent
Is that you Tom Browne?

CHANGES: Rd 15 vs Sydney
I want Oscar McDonald out and never picked again. Sydney aren't tall, and I thought he was terrible. His turnover kick, inboard from half-back/wing with no pressure on him + my subsequent reaction, abruptly ended the life of my Sony Bravia television.

The 2020 Trade Period
With Tomlinson playing KPD which I believe is his best position. I think acquiring Atkins would be a smart move for the left wing. - He is a FA so nothing needs to be given in return. - Vandenberg as an injury prone player, means we need depth for the wing position. - Jones is currently our back-up, and as much as we all love him, we need a contingency plan in place given this is possibly (most likely) his last year - Penny may have finally dropped for Goodwin not to play Brayshaw on the wing so this reinforces why we need depth in this position - During their grand final year, Atkins was considered to be in All Aus form, and as a left footer, he can play as the left footed winger, leaving Langdon for the right. - I daresay that with the early announcement that Atkins is exercising his rights to FA, he has already found a club, and I selfishly hope it is us

Craig Jennings Analysis of Dees Game Plan
You can't deny he was right about Max playing in the back half. Intercept marks yesterday were critical.

TEAMS: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
Tomlinson is a seriously good KPD if given the opportunity. Will enable May to go forward and provide that "contest" the coaching staff are always after, in the air.

Angus Brayshaw to Fremantle Rumours
When Hogan left I hoped that would be the end of the annual rumour mill about one of our players leaving.....I fear Brayshaw is now that new player.
-
Farewell Sam Frost
I think the lack of movement in tying up Frost is due to the interest in Tomlinson. I actually think we plan on playing Tomlinson as a key back (where he has played his best footy). Then have Petty and Oscar as the back-ups in case we are hit with the injury stick.

GAMEDAY: Rd 05 vs St Kilda
They beat us this way every time, too quick on the outside.

Farewell Jesse Hogan

Rumour File
Hopefully this thread not only includes rumours but long bows as well, because here is one.... Max Gawn just followed Jonathan Ceglar on Instagram. Is possibly seen as third in line at Hawthorn, given they have McEvoy and Pittonet. Is contracted to end of 2019, perhaps with North playing hardball with Preuss, we may be looking at Ceglar.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
So goodbye to all our depth. Out: Hogan, Kent, Tyson, Vandenberg, Pedersen, Vince, Bugg I'm worried

The Other Preliminary Final
This is my exact thoughts. Imagine Eddie celebrating with his two little dweebs as we lose to the Pies in a granny. God no, just no.

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
What about Jake Lloyd from Sydney? Perfect replacement for Bernie across half back.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Crows have leaked this Collingwood stuff to try and get the Demons to budge on their stance of a first and second and pick.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
So we offered a deal. Then the Crows countered with a similar deal. Manager told Melb, Pies and Dogs that Lever was staying. Then we offered a bigger deal that knocked Crows for six (aka BANG). Lever gone to Demons. I think that's what he meant. I have young cousins so I understand gibberish.

Mark Stevens said tonight that Andrew Gaff is gettable. He supported the demons as a kid.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
I think this loophole of collating picks for points has been halted. The league on Monday night ruled that clubs could enter this yearโs draft only with the number of selections that matched the number of open spots on their list. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/afl-abolishes-draft-loophole-that-allowed-clubs-to-gain-an-advantage-by-stockpiling-backend-picks/news-story/112f1b7e18eda1f3127038e1a48a1477 - Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
