Whilst I think it happened once Roos came on board, there is always the chance that the deal had been signed, but not yet announced under Neeld's reign of terror. I can't really imagine For instance, Mackie & Bartel had singed multi-year extensions months ago, but it was only announced in the last week or so. And I hardly think Roos would come out and say "I didn't really want him, but Neeld signed him before I came on board... Dean Terlich ladies & gentlemen!"

Suss as in Petracca knows he is leaving, like most suspect... I don't think it indicates where he is going to.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM

For zero cost practically, and he filled a hole. Not exactly an epic stuff up. -
It's ok, luckily Terlich is still under contract...
-
It was a textbook setup.

Harley can do it quicker than that I reckon...

Now I can understand why some of your rumours come out the way do...

So it is the one and the same? I did wonder...

Probably right. He could easily have been worried that a flat bat would lead to a line of questioning similar to "What's the hold up? Holding out for more money? Where's your loyalty? etc." ad nauseum...

Plausible.

2015 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

Possibly. It's also possible that Emma Quayle isn't always told the truth, or that alternatively Dazzle, or most probably both. -
Poor attempt at humour?

Clearly you're a troll; nobody is this stupid.

I think Tyrone Vickery should be enough evidence that things aren't always so clear cut & final. -
Surely GoldCoast would be asked to pay a fair chunk of his wage, as has happened with other cast-offs in the past (Woewoedin, TJ & Fevola come to mind). And if not, surely that excludes Hawthorn. In fact, it makes us a more attractive proposition to trade with than the Hawks, as we would have to potential to absorb more of his contract.

The end of a long season where they'll work 9-5 on weekdays and a day on most weekends... You can't wait a day or 2 while they let their hair down with the rest of the club? Selfish and ignorant point of view, really.

I think lack of faith in his ability combined with a lack of opportunity and a lack of a contract paying the riches offered elsewhere may drive him to look at his options. It's not rocket science, and it did the trick with JPK.

Prestia, Bennell, O'Meara... Are we just desperate to get one of the Suns mids?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM

Look, I'm sure if we recruit him, it will be at minimal cost, and to raise the the absolute minimum standard for non-developing players on the list. ASADA related issues aren't an issue for me. The only issue would be overpaying, and I doubt we're silly enough for that. -
Best you got? Disappointingly weak.

So basically... Connors is trying to use the threat of going to Melbourne to push his clients' price up, or Melksham wants to be at Melbourne because he wants to get out & likes Goodwin & McCartney, so he's angling for MFC... Either way, I don't see a lot indicating that we are interested. It would hold a lot more weight if someone from the club gave an indication that we want him. And I'm sure if we do, it'll be conditional on him being cheap. Bog ordinary, but a slight improvement on Bail/Matt Jones/Riley/etc. Marginal improvement if no others are to be found. -
Another example of Jon Ralph being a rambling imbecile. He never knows what he's talking about - he just talks.
