2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
dazzledavey36 replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I couldn't watch it today. Can you both give a quick run down how the NGA players went? -
You're literally the last person I want to be taking life advice from. Cheers.

Which part of her trac hating post was positive? I don't want or need anything thanks. I just laugh how you can admit that you hate a player only to tell that same someone only a few weeks back how much you love him at the same time. It is a true definition of being socially fake to someone. The guy demanded high standards and professionalism from the club and yet he's the one getting piled on. Bizarre
-
Tracs little media moment? You do realise he didn't put anything on social media mate. The clubs instagram account and Tayla Harris were the ones getting the photos of him and then shared it to their own accounts. He shared it because they tagged him in it.
-
You don't like him but yet this was you sucking up to him only a few weeks ago at training telling him how much you all love him 😅 😅
-
Good to see Trac there and smiling. People still holding serious grudges over him speak more volume on the individual itself. As @Jaded No More said, we need to be united as a club and hopefully we see a domino effect with the first step being Roffey leaving.

Dandenong Stingrays play Gippsland power today in the quarter finals at 2pm. This match will feature a bunch of current Melbourne NGA listed players in Tairon Ah-Mu, Riak Andrew and Marcus Prasad (underage) from the Dandenong Stingray. Gippsland will have Ricky Mentha running around for the Power. This will also feature potential top 5 propsect Harvey Langford and Cooper Hynes who's expected to go somewhere inside top 20. -
You're not going to get this every year at every finals. But what it does show is that you've got to continue to stock up on elite young talent when the opportunity presents itself and as it stands it does with us this year. I do hope Matthew Jefferson was watching Calsher Dear tonight. No reason why he can't come on next year and make a sudden impact for the year.

Yes had you said the current 23 then it would make sense. They're in good hands for the next few years. Gunston and Bruest chalk up a lot of the games and experience on tonight. Both of them only played a half pretty much as they subbed each other on and off. This is a team that won without two of their younger stars in CJ and Will Day on top of Watson and Dear combing for 7 goals in total. Not bad for a couple of first year players.
-
If it's the 23 playing then yes that makes more sense.

Lesson to be learnt here @DeeSpencer.. Do your research.

You're forgetting Tarion Ah-Mu who's shown a lot more as a key forward then White has. 198cm key forward/ruckman who's built like a powerhouse already for such a young kid. His school footy performance and Coates League level form is setting him up well going into next year.
-
Looks completely cooked. Hasn't had a touch this quarter and yet they have McRea sitting on the bench as a sub..
-
Watching Hawthorn tonight brings back so many happy memories of watching the Dees in the 2018 finals. Noisy crowd, young team full of attack and and momentum. Smash em Hawks!

Smith track records speaks for itself BBO.

He's still fairly raw mate. He's missed significant amount of footy over the last couple of years due to injury and he's finally had a good run over the past few months. His footy IQ and decision making is sound and will need some work but it's his athletic profile and raw potential is what would excite Jason Taylor. If I had a choice between Andrew or Noah Yze I'm picking Andrew every day of the week and by a fair length. His upside is pretty high just because he's missed a fair bit of footy. He's got some similar traits to CJ from Hawthorn who was a category B rookie listed player by the Hawks mind you.

Yeah see ya. Brought in as someone with a wealth of experience in being able help secure a home base and yet, here we are no where near any close to having a home base 3 years on. Whatever she did, good on her. Then to have Brad Green step in doesn't fill me with that much confidence either. The sooner Steven Smith steps in the better. It's incredibly crucial we get this right.

Ken Hinkley - Head of Football

Agree, I'd take Simmo anyway over Ken. -
Ahead of Bo Allen?
-
Interesting that we will be targeting experienced midfielders in this up and coming trade period. Parfitt and Will Brodie certainly fit that description.

Season 2024 Over for Clayton Oliver
dazzledavey36 replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
Interesting because I heard the opposite. I heard we chased him hard during 2018 and Dom Tyson confirmed this on a podcast with Shane Crawford and it was one of the reason he was pushed out of the team as they were targeting a genuine wingman which Gaff and Josh Kelly were our prime targets. Turns out we couldn't get either across the line. -

Stephen Rowe on SA FIVEAA radio did mention that Adelaide will be going after Oliver again this year.
