  1. Fox Footy will be dropping their phantom draft tonight.
  2. Just to back this up on why I think he's got huge potential to dominate in the midfield in years to come. This is from an under 18 Colts game this year where he played mainly as an inside midfielder. Not only does he do the inside grunt work, but his ability to spread on the outside and explode from contest is why he's a tantalising propsect.
  3. Yeah I'm sure recruiters are falling over themselves to get inside information off demonland.. Look, you've got a well respected journo who is well connected to the draft and has the best draft intel going around in Cal Twomey who's literally about to release a phantom draft tomorrow to the whole of Australia outlining the inside mail coming out of the dees camp on who they may take at pick 5 and 9. Marc McGowan from the AGE literally did the exact same thing last week. This is literally no different. You also do realise that even if the club has a particular player in mind for both our picks, it doesn't mean it set in stone now. There are always last minute decision changes or that particular player gets taken early or slips through. As I said, it's all a bit of fun..

  5. Having tossed up a few options I've settled in on Bo Allan as our preferred option at pick 9. Everything of him screams of Angus Brayshaw in terms of versatility and competitiveness, something the club saw as a great need hence why we targetedDan Houston. He'll start his career off a half back and I have no doubt he can slot in at that role come round 1. This also means Rivers now transition to being a full time mid. I know some have concerns over his disposal but I don't think it's that bad as some are making it out to be. It's his competitive drive, power and speed off the mark, and ability to read the play is why I think he's got enormous potential.
  6. But it's okay for guys like Cal Twomey and 50 other journalists to do so? Have you emailed them and advised them to keep their mail and information to themselves as well? Probably best not to read Cals phantom draft tomorrow. It's all a bit of fun. That's why the draft has become a popular spectacle. Now we're seeing heaps of YouTube channels trying to get one up with phantom drafts and information.
  7. Hears anything from your end @goodwindees?
  8. They've both left the club. Both returned to local level full time.
  9. Is there a link for today's updated version?? Can't seem to find it.
  10. Is that Intel or just your own personal opinion mate?
  11. McGowan the only who's been running with our interest on Hynes. Doesn't get s mention anywhere else.
  12. Strength of character by getting suspended every single year? How about he focuses more on being more discipline first before we talk leadership.
  13. I'd be ropeable if we take Taura with pick 5. Fancy wasting a top 5 pick on a third tall defender that can't kick while others around us take elite mids. Only at Melbourne
  14. Marc McGowan from the Age running with Langford and Armstrong https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/we-surveyed-13-afl-recruiters-this-is-how-we-predict-the-draft-will-unfold-20241113-p5kqdv.html
  15. That to me sounds like that if we had to choose between Langford and Smith, we'd obviously select Smith?

  17. Was that the game he kicked 6??
  18. Spot on. I see too much of Jayden Hunt in Travaglia. Which isn't a bad thing because he's carved out a solid career himself. Blazes away far too often when he gets on a run off half back and usually comes back the other way. Smith is an absolute jet, I'm still scratching my head how he's not in top 2 discussions. If he slides to our pick and we select him, that's a steal in my eyes. Him and Langford are a win for us either way. Glad someone else sees the same in what I see in Allan. I reckon his potential is enormous. He's got the athletic and physical profile to play round 1, but also potential to slide into the midfield in a year or two and play a similar style to Elliot Yeo. Smith/Langford along with Allan would be a huge draft win for us.
  19. He's got the talent LH. My issue though is that he's been used used in the wrong position as a defender. That's not his niche. In my opinion he's a genuine Forward/ruckman similar to Sam Darcy from the Western Bulldogs. I want to see more of him as a forward next year then a defender. Either way, his talent and athletic profile is certainly a good fit for us from a list profile and needs perspective.
  20. Myself and @Adam The God have been big on this for a while. There's being a proud father, and then there's being obsessive to the point of it being unhealthy. If Kalani turns down MFC, I don't know who'll be more distraught, the MFC fans, or his player manager Jeff White.
