  1. Yeah nah. Last night West Coast initially omitted 3 players last night in Tim Kelly, Bo Allan and Sandy Brock. As of 5pm tonight after teams were finalised they omitted a fourth player in Jack Williams who was already named on the extended bench. So they ended up dropping an extra player after initial making the three omissions last night. This literally goes against your argument. My point is you can make as many changes you want from your extended bench on Sunday games. Just because one player gets omitted doesn't mean you can't make further omissions. Teams dont fully get finalised until friday afternoon.
  2. I dont mind that Jefferson stays in. Was hoping for Campbell and Howes though. Tholstrup is bloody lucky.
  3. Oh would you look at this.. Zane Duursma omitted after being named in the initial extended bench last night. Shock [censored] horror You come off very stupid here.
  4. Windsor is Sharp out.
  5. The DeeBrief.. lols. You know you're scraping the barrel when you're taking these guys guys.
  6. No they dont... They can still omit players from the extended bench when the final teams get released on a 5pm Friday. This has been a thing for many years.. how have you not picked up on this?
  7. You are 100% spot on Laze.. I tend to go back to when he was happy to show the door for Jack Watts and Jesse Hogan for instance but yet had a different stance on the likes of Petracca, Oliver and Petty. Back then I think we actually respected his willingness to change the club culture as both Hogan and Watts were much loved players within the playing group and supporters. We had opportunities to reshape our list with the likes of Oliver and Petty trade for instance but that didn't eventuate My feel is that hes gotten way too comfortable with the players and that in itself can be a messy line to cross.
  8. He can still be omitted, final team selections aren't made official until 5pm today. Blake Howes or Caleb Windsor would be one of the ins for Sharp and then weather they decide to make any more changes from there then who knows.
  9. I reckon Campbell plays. Could be for Jefferson, unless they drop Tholstrup and still play the 3 talls.
  10. "Love" didn't buy us a flag mate. A well structured and disciplined team was what got us a flag. And this whole 'oh but but we won a flag!' Commentary just needs to simply stop. Stop living in the past. Not only was that 4 years ago that happened, but we have achieved absolutely nothing since. There have been changes to our playing list, football department and opposition teams have easily worked us out. The game has completely changed and shifted away from the contested bull at the gate style which made us so successful back in 2021 and our contested mids have been exposed because of it.
  11. Well said. Dont care if the players love the coach. Sick to death of this whole "love" narrative thats been driven by the coach all season. All love has gotten us is two bottom 5 finishes in the last two years. Get a coach like Adam Kingsley who has a good balance of having a good rapport with the players but also a hard [censored] who isn't afraid to pull players into line.
  12. This. Was said on here that announcement was meant to occur two weeks ago? Most reports state that he is not way near close to signing a new deal.
  13. Yet the same big name players are destabilising the club on field and through that its costing us in a drop in memberships and lack of on field success. Im not in the boat of every player should be put up for trade but the following players need to be seriously discussed for trade at the end of the year: Lever, Salem, Fritsch, Oliver, Spargo, Sparrow. All of them haven't played a decent game since 2022-2023. Now history will say that its a rarity that clubs will just trade out 6 players all in the one go, but we would be absolutely silly if these names aren't seriously brought up as trade discussions for draft or trade capital.
  14. If its true that Lever felt blindsided and angry because he felt disrespected at the fact he was even drop then see ya later Jake. Your form has been absolute poor since 2022 and as a leader hes been sub par. Turner has taken his spot anyhow, the guy is a dead set liability as his body is cooked big time.
  15. Difference with Nibbler though is that he use to consistently dominate at Casey racking up big numbers. Everyone could see that ANB had the talent, just needed the opportunity. Even at VFL level Tholstrup has struggled this year and no way dominated to deserve a call up. I haven't seen anything at VFL levelto suggest he'll be a solid 200 game player at the elite level. He'll need to not only have a attitude adjustment over the off season but also come back looking trimmed and fit.
  16. Gotta keep Jefferson in the team.
  17. Yeah I understand. Its the honourable losses thing i hate. To be completely honest, i've lost all interest in the club this year. Im just half expecting these kind of losses now with the inaccuracy and the same usual suspects on high money dishing up the same sub par performances each and every week. Another year wasted and no finals appearance/wins in September. We dont stand for anything as a club and yet still no closer to knowing what's happening with our home base. I'll continue to check results here and there watch it when I can but the emotional attachment of my team losing is not there anymore. I just shrug the shoulders and move on. Taking my 5 year old to his first AFL game next week and will make sure he has the greatest experience he can. Gotta somehow keep the spirits up for the next generation of supporters coming through.
  18. Maybe less time dancing and prancing around pre game in front of the MFC socials and more time focussing in actually contributing out on the field. I have been defending this bloke this year but so far on the value we coughed up for him its been a major disappointment. I'll give him the benefit of doubt because of the injury, but hes looking like a sub VFL.standard player. I was all for getting games into him, but that was with hope that he would start to show incline progression not the other way around.
  19. Well battled. Effort was there.
  20. Maybe the optimism and gut feeling in me think this will be much closer then some actually think.
