That answers nothing about player managers refusing to speak to a list manager of an AFL club. I have never once seen this ever reported in any media outlet whether its with Melbourne or a different club. Its completely unheard of and utterly unprofessional considering player managers look after a range of players at each club. A player manager might have a star player going through issues with the club which they'll work through the club in dealing with that. But in a separate matter, that same player manager would be negotiating a contract extension for a separate player in that exact same time.

Where did it suggest that Peatling pulled out due to the range of issues at the club? I haven't read anything to suggest otherwise and pretty sure he had a stronger pull to Adelaide then Melbourne the city. He was never strongly linked in the same vein as what Houston was. I also find it pretty extreme if players manager refused to speak to Tim Lamb from a professional perspective but also having a range of players at our club that Lamb would have to negotiate contracts with all player manager. Can you provide the facts or a link to this actually happening?

Never would we see the day me going into bat for @Ghostwriter but she is 100% correct regarding Max. What is portrayed in the media is completely different to the Max Gawn behind close doors. I can understand why she wont let out too much on this because yes, majority wont either like what they read or refuse to believe that Max actually has flaws as a captain and a person. Then there is the fear of backlash that @rpfc because God forbid if we can ever question the ever so perfect gawn. I've spoken to two current palyers at the same time about this last off season when they were back home during the Christmas break. We discussed all the issues that the club went through and some if the things about Gawn were very interesting to hear indeed. Max has been given too much leeway in calling the shots at the club and not stayed in his own lane. Unfortunately when you have someone like Goodwin who was far too close to the players and wasn't willing to pull players up and set a few egos on track then of course there is player disconnect. Hopefully someone like a Buckley with a completely clean slate will change all of this.

Roos would have no insight into the current set up at Melbourne. A lot of the people he would have known in his time have have left since. Considering he pretty much lives in Hawaii now days, he like most of us are just playing the guessing game.

She can say all she wants, but i can 100% guarantee you that Buckley would not given even give two thoughts or even blink at what Caro has been saying about him lately. He's clearly part of the coaching process and has agreed to do so. So that to me clearly says that Buckley has a real interest in the Melbourne job.

I have known the Hollands family for years especiallyhis Dad and right now currently play with his cousin who keeps me in the loop with a lot of his off field issues. Stay right away from Elijah. Whilst I dont condone his behaviour there has been some deep personal issues with his mother that has led to him spiralling out of control off field. We delt with that [censored] with Oliver. Don't need to baby sit another playing coming into the club.
