Neeld was no scapegoat he was a horrible excuse for a coach who prematurely ended the careers of young players and nearly ripped the heart out of our football club. He was so bad he should just about be sued for negligence! (yes I am suffering PTSD from his 30 odd games in charge) I don't particularly wish him well he's been paid hundreds of thousands of dollars over the last several years to completely turn everything he touches to ****. Anyway that's it I never want to think about him again...

Is daveydee the same guy that somehow tried to blame the supporters for team losing? Like the supporters (admittedly a small bunch) I was with in the Redlegs who faithfully turned up every week when the team won 2 games for the year in 2012 and copped 15 goal floggings most matches? What we were supposed to be happy when Mark Neeld took a list that could at least get a few big wins in '10-'11 and completely ran our team into ground?

I remember thinking despite Carlton being an average side it was one of our best wins of the year because we were absolutely smashed with injury for that match

Viney will rip a hole through Gold Coast's young midfield, get him in if fit. We should win this one pretty easily the Suns aren't much good and have their best player out.

He's a surprisingly smart forward for someone who played 100 games in the backline and only recently shifted. Was a CHF as a junior though wasn't he?

We look so much better with big Tom in the side, loved his curling snap for goal in the last quarter

I get this thread is satire but it wouldn't matter if we were playing Seaford 3rds this weekend, some supporters would come on here saying we are gonna get our arses handed to us

We seem to get lost mucking around on the wings of the wider MCG too much, allowing the opposition to drop back and intercept mark all day long (see Geelong round 1). Yesterday in the second half we noticeably went much more direct instead of playing wide. Need to attack through the corridor at the MCG more and spend less time farting about on the member's wing!

We’re at an interesting stage as a side, seem to be able to handle the weaker sides pretty comfortably now, but struggle when a more experienced side really brings the pressure and tackling. Signs of maturity at least we can put away teams we are meant to beat (finally!) We looked powerful after half time even though I acknowledge Essendon were bad. St Kilda will be more challenging as they have bigger bodies in the midfield to go up against our guys: the Bombers are very light on in this area.

I'm so rusted on I'm actually less stressed sitting at the game watching the boys then I am checking the scores while attempting to concentrate on something else. Been to so many losses over the last 20 years you kind of get (partially) immune to it, even though Collingwood last year was probably the worst I've ever felt at the footy and for ages after. I'm too scared to not go because that's exactly when we'll have a ripper win!

Yep me too....we're been bad for 12 years why would yet another loss make me throw in the towel at this point! At least we're just ordinary now - we used to be appalling!
