  1. We just have to find a way to scrap it out and get over Carlton, I'm sure the team will steel themselves and Goody will have some specific tactics. Let's not write the year off yet!!
  2. I think the effort has been ok, they are trying but it's not happening tonight
  3. You can't do much when you've got half the team out and the rest are completely knackered
  4. We need one of our patented massive 3rd quarters
  5. Going for a lot of run out of the backline, the Swans have looked vulnerable getting caught out on the quick rebound.
  6. I reckon we'll win Sydney arent as good as they appear
  7. I don't think the Swans are that fantastic - they were 30 points down against Richmond and conceded 7 straight goals to Essendon, defensively they are not as good as they once were. if we bring our best we can still win, injuries or not.
  8. The team is a bit banged up but also battle-hardened. Good chance to keep the momentum going, I just hope Viney's shoulder isn't too bad....
  9. We'd want a top 10 pick and I couldn't see a club offering that...would hate to see Gus leave at any rate
  10. Didn't know that. Jack Darling has a habit of playing well against us which annoying because he is capable of absolute shockers, as long as we stop him and Josh Hill (soft), it's hard to see where their goals will come from.
  11. Kennedy and LeCras out for the Eagles evens up our outs....they don't have a lot of recognised goal scoring power in their side
  12. We have so many inside midfielders that he's up against it to get a look in barring a heap of injuries. Jones has been playing more of a link up role from off the back of the square and Trenners is probably too slow to replace him. Billy Stretch would be more capable of playing Joney's role at the moment.
  13. How's he been looking at VFL level? Has he got his sidestep and depth in his kicking back?
  14. What is it with Etihad there seems to be more serious injuries there than anywhere else. Can it just be down to the hardness of the surface....anyone got any stats to back this up?
  15. Damn frustrating just when we get Gawn back lose Jones - so hard to get the full side together
  16. I loved Goody's attitude to the 3 short breaks it was "bring it on". Other coaches (like Scott or Hardwick) have had a cry about similar in the past.
  17. Without Jones I'd give Petracca and Salem more time in midfield, both have shown they can add a lot to the onball group when given the opportunity.
  18. I'm into it, Buggy is a master of psychological warfare. What he does is a lot more calculated and beneficial to the team than the kneejerk dopes in the media recognize.
  19. Pedders has been such a valuable contributor this season there is no way you could possibly drop him: found his best footy at age 30 and looks to be loving the contest. Not sure about handballing while lying on your back to a small forward after taking a mark 15 out straight in front though!!
  20. Wonderful game from all the boys today, loving going to Etihad this year
  21. Loudest roar I've heard from the Demons fans when Watts kicked the sealer since 2000....the Southern at the punt road end end was shaking!
  22. Their confidence is low, form been ordinary and they have a heap of injuries to key players. We've been good at Etihad this season so I think we are a massive chance
  23. Hope to see him back to his best next year....he's a beast of a man, would be important in the forward line mix with his tackling and goal kicking if he can get fit
  24. I don't think we can get too concerned about who Collingwood doesn't have out there, they still have plenty of class in the midfield and if they get on top we'll be in trouble. I'm still concerned about our form at the MCG, another slow start, staring at a 25 point deficit at quarter time....hope not....
  25. Harmesy loves playing against the Suns, had one of his best game against them last year too
