How the hell did we [censored] that up
  2. I reckon we'll go ok, we have a big bodied combative midfield that can take it up to their "superstars" (who actually aren't living up to expectations this season). As long as we don't continually bomb it to their intercept defenders as we did in round 1 (Tom Stewart killed us), we have every chance to get the win.
  3. Max could break the all time hitout record up against Stanley and Blicavs who aren't even proper ruckmen

Having a great year first up - do we think he'll eventually develop into a player who can spend some time in midfield? Appears to have the grunt to play as more than a small forward despite his small stature.
  5. Hibbo's last 2 weeks have been solid but unspectacular and we've still won by plenty....bad to lose him but he hasn't been burning it up in recent times
  6. Ah Bollocks!
  7. Geelong lost to the baby Bulldogs a couple of weeks ago then beat Sydney at the SCG: conclusion like us they are wildly inconsistent so pretty much any result is possible
  8. Hard to see him leaving anytime soon to play with a side that looks a fair way off finals footy....Freo have an ok list but a lot of gaps still. And playing under Ross "The Floss" Lyon! The way they move the ball he'd be lucky to kick 30 goals a season!
  9. Of all the players in the VFL side at the moment I think he has the most attributes that can impact on the AFL side...can play midfield or forward, decent pace, is a powerful type. Not a lot of finesse to his game but a lot of brute force!

We can do it! Sending positive vibes to the club and players now!!

After 12 years out I'd take making the finals in any way at all!

Salem is another player who has showed he can go on ball and win clearances if needed. Great as Jack is we are well stocked for inside mids, it'll hurt us to some extent but every team is dealing with injuries. Kennedy did his back for Sydney, Nic Nat knee at West Coast, Collingwood Treloar etc...

He’s had a good year with a couple of off games recently but gee, retiring him at the end of the season is way premature
  14. Thought he played OK, contributed to the result

It’s sad coming here to our home and watching us serve up crap, cmon boys lift!

Glass half full: we have 3 fresh players in from the sauna of last week

I reckon we'll win pretty comfortably today: unless Billy Gowers kicks 8 the Bulldogs don't have any firepower

If we hit red hot form we could win every game, this side is capable if it all clicks. We seem to enjoy playing interstate more than the G so Adelaide/West Coast away shouldn't hold any fears.
  19. That Bulldogs side would have just about the worst collection of talls I've seen for a long time. If we lose it certainly won't be due to their ruck/key position dominance.
  20. Could Melksham have a run further up the ground maybe on a wing? Seems to have gone cold playing forward, which can be a hard position to get your hands on the footy. His massive kick would be beneficial up the ground on the MCG
  21. Vince and Lewis in the one side and JKH who isn't quick....have we got enough run??

We're also starting to get more players past the 50 game mark which should equal greater consistency across the 4 quarters. Brayshaw and ANB will soon join Petracca, Oliver, Salem, Harmes and Hogan as fairly recent 50+ gamers. No longer a really young side anymore.
  23. Dean Kent maybe? He played well at the G earlier in the season
  24. Damn he looked good giving us the run and carry we badly need last week...chance for Baker to debut now?

I agree we can't afford any more games where we don't come with full AFL intensity from the opening bounce. If we can't win this week with the side the Doggies will be putting out on the park (kids really) we aren't serious and don't deserve to play finals'
