I wouldn't, too slow in defence and doesn't have the physicality to impose himself in the ruck anymore. These days you're almost better off playing without a ruckman than a bad one.

I agree, I'm bored of being negative about my beloved football team when we are actually on the improve! Had plenty of time for that from 2007-2012. I don't get the mentality that seems to almost take delight that we might stuff it up, miss finals again etc

I think we can definitely win at least 2/3 none of our opponents are without their own issues: Sydney - in average form, not kicking many goals, Buddy or bust West Coast - No NicNat/Gaff and Kennedy or an underdone Kennedy....we have a better midfield than them with their outs GWS - injuries and they don't have a good record at the MCG

Are they? They lost to Gold Coast and their last few weeks have been pretty ordinary, Buddy is playing injured and is well below his best, maybe they are on the slide. Melk is important and every good player out hurts of course but we do have others who deliver the ball well inside F50 - Fritsch, Oliver, Salem to name 3.

I hope Melk's "minor" hamstring isn't a 4 weeker....

Those are crazy odds, but that said I think we'll smash them, they've barely got a senior player left in the team. Would be the worst of all our epic chokes if we manage to screw this one up!
