The Jesse Hogan Panic Room - all contract talk here
Watts the matter replied to Grapeviney's topic in Melbourne Demons
The guy that moved away from his home? -
Sorry, he's not currently a Melbourne player so you have somewhat of an opinion now? Fair enough to have that opinion but feel free to provide some reasoning rather than just throwing up a player who has achieved less and shown half as much at AFL level with mediocre pace for his role. Josh Greens first 3 seasons at AFL. 0 Goals, 15 goals, 24 goals. JKH: 9 goals, 2 goals, 0 goals. If its based on talent, Green is the easy choice but there is obviously some issues he has with preparing like an AFL footballer.
-
A bit harsh on Kent, his second half of the season was pretty consistent for a small forward. Green is a lot quicker than Harmes and Kennedy.
-
Thoughts on Josh Green? http://www.afl.com.au/news/2016-09-05/lions-small-forward-josh-green-open-to-trade He has struggled for a while now but has some pace that we badly need if we are going to have Hogan and Weideman in the forward line and potentially a ruckman.

2016 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Watts the matter replied to dee-luded's topic in Melbourne Demons
Well I guess that's another player we have very different opinions of then. Prestia has kicked 30 goals in 95 games and has OK speed. We all have our favourites and clearly these are two of yours. -

Yes on multiple occasions, now you either post so much that you don't remember what you say or you are asking a rhetorical question for absolutely no reason. And no I'm not going to go through your 7000 posts to find where you have said it. -
2016 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

3 weeks later......but if you say so, I'm sure even he would acknowledge it's an area he needs to work on. His short kicking is absolute garbage if we are being honest, he can kick to space nicely but struggles with any hit up pass. Doesn't kick through the football and floats in the air to long. If you have even been to training and watched him and Jonesy have a goal kicking contest, you can see the massive difference. Brayshaw just floats it in the air every kick and Jones kicks through the football. You also tell everyone that Dion Prestia is a good kick so I think we have a very different opinion about the meaning of a good kick. -
No, ANB has close to no value. He was a pick in the 40s and has not shown much in 2 years in the system.

Not particularly keen but would much prefer him to Scott Thompson.

Lol, embarrassing for a power forward to be playing for free kicks like this. This sums up my frustrations with him, he just needs to focus on doing the basics, leading, chasing, tackling. Needs to play a team game, it appears like all the media talk about him being the next big thing got to him as it did with Stringer. -
Scott Thompson - Would we welcome him back?

Ollie Wines and good speed? now I've heard it all. Love these unnamed experts the Herald Sun always quote. -
Who are the Dees chasing for 2017 and at what cost?

Strange statement, since they do have him and the same could easily be said about us with TMAC. I thought Gresham was a revelation this year and showed some class that few payers have. Billings had a disappointing year but is a gun. Jack Newnes could be alright? The same Seb Ross that gives Dom Tyson a bath every time we play? Two top KPFs? Based on what? You seem to focus to much on draft position and not enough of what you actually see. As pessimistic as I am, you seem to be the complete opposite. -
He will still get the same amount of holidays, he just won't be obliged to start the preseason on day one if he plays vfl finals.

Watts the matter replied to Deemented Are Go!'s topic in Melbourne Demons
Not how I remember it being reported, I know many on Demonland decided this was the reason behind his poor form but I don't recall the club ever providing information along this line. Happy to be proven wrong if it did occur. -

I'm aware of this, my question was related to what evidence there was he was suffering from this early in the season. -

You have information regarding this? Or are you just guessing? -

That's fine, just didn't think you needed the second sentence. I will be here ready to congratulate you on getting a 50-50 call right if you are correct. -
Not sure what you mean by this? Sydney often play in tight games and have lost 4 games by less than 2 goals (and won 3).

Many people have already said or suggested this. Hardly a huge statement worth flaunting. -
A player with no value and a player worth a 4th rounder. Not a hope.

Give me Harvey over Garlett in a final any day of the week.

Have you seen the state of our list? Full of list cloggers, finding a spot for him is not an issue.
