  1. I think his second goal showed this weakness. I was worried he was going to kick it like he did against Adelaide in that instance. If you can't acknowledge that his kicking is a weakness then you're only seeing what you want to see.
  2. I'm pretty sure I've heard in the past that Gawn actually runs the fines for this.
  3. Their percentage is so bad it's not a factor and Sydney should beat them tonight.
  4. Low football IQ and doesn't have the finishig skills. Pass.
  5. Isaac Weetra, struggled in the VFL reserves yet on the back of some unimpressive preseason games started the season in the seniors.
  6. We have a candidate for that title and somehow he played two games. Jacksch showed a little bit and played a good game or two for GWS at CHB. WHE would depend on the price like many have said. He offers us something we need but is prone to basic skill errors, Tom McDonald style.
  7. So Freo are going to chuck in a pick for someone that struggles to kick goals from 40 meters? You can't have it both ways, if his deficiencies are that much of an issue you can't be expecting to get the best player in the comp and some for him.
  8. There's been a few phantom drafts over the years where it looks like we may have just got unlucky on the draft night. This phantom draft would have been a great result and from memory most phantom drafts had us taking Dyson Heppell or Tom Lynch in 2010 instead of Lucas Cook.
  9. Callum Twomey said last week that he thinks Weideman would be a top 5 pick in this years draft.
  10. Stupid team anyway. Tyson starting center, Viney on the bench. Viney got 4 votes from both coaches and Tyson got 2. Go figure.
  11. Was he playing on Breust today? If so, mixed bag of a game. Broke an important tackle at half forward to set up one of our goals early in the game, then made some really poor mistakes later,
  12. This and his speed or lack of, He was good for the most part but should have made more of an impact on Brayshaws (bad) kick.
  13. Interesting you say this, while he does evade quite well I would say his agility is poor for a player of his size. He seems to have a rather large turning circle and his evasive moves normally result in him going the wrong way. He is tracking nicely but this would be my main concern along with his slow ball drop at this stage.
  14. I think you're on the money jnrmac! Another poster has pointed this out previously and they were spot on. Last year while he was involved in quite a few of our goals with his kicking it was always kicking long to space and someone like Garlett running on to it. I can not recall him ever hitting up a target on the lead last season and he still seems to struggle with this kick, His kicking was exactly like this in the U18 championships and is an area in need of major improvement. His ability to get penetration quickly out of a stoppage on either foot is a valuable asset.
  15. Correct, for his size he needs to have elite finishing skills, he doesn't.
  16. What is? Why? West Coast are useless away from Subiaco
  17. I hope that is just a throwaway line. One has kicked 154 goals at AFL level while the other has kicked 6. He is capable of playing some good football and if he didn't cost too much (financially) I wouldn't be against it.
  18. Simple fact is he was rated 20-30 by most experts. We took him at 9 because he was 'tough'. Not sure if you remember seeing him play, but never showed anything of note. Brad Miller showed a lot more from day dot.
