  1. Sadly it would seem his body's just wrecked. After so much surgery and time out of the game, he keeps re-injuring himself. Very sad, but a reality of professional sport.
  2. Do you want to know what is 'right thing' to do, or what you 'should do'??
  3. OMac's got a good frame on him- will be a big boy in two years.
  4. Hang on... are we still pretending that 'Braysure' is a Melbourne supporter?? The most obviously transparent Essendon fanboy on the interwebs.
  5. No, but I'd say they have more talent on their list than we had when we last asked for one.
  6. I don't think Brisbane will be given a Priority Pick for the same reasons we were not. If memory serves correctly, one thing the commission considered was the potential in the playing list; with that in mind, when fully fit there is some elite talent in the Brisbane line-up, especially their midfield. The have drafted very good key position players at both ends of the ground and have a very good spread of young and underdeveloped talent. What they need is assistance in developing this talent in a strong, well funded and supported environment. That's where the AFL can, and should assist them. The way it's been worded by the commission in the past, I only think they'd give one if a player died.
  7. I would think it'd be Viney, but Watts would make an outstanding vice. Always the first senior player to run to a young player after they've made a mistake and talk to them. Him and Viney would complement each other well.
  8. I have no doubt a period of success is just around the corner for us. We should all enjoy it, as threads like this show that those who have stuck around deserve it. But at the same time, threads like this should remind us to practice some humility - unlike some other club's supporters.
  9. Very true. All the positive change in the club over the last four years stems from his leadership. Was great to see him standing alongside Roos in the rooms waiting for the players.
  10. See his best in 5 years - yes. However he showed today we're going to be treated to a lot of very good football in the meantime.
  11. Big fan of OMac and it's great to see him going from strength to strength. For a second year KPD to be playing the way he is, it's fantastic for now and the future.
  12. So the 'inner sanctum' is not discussing Jesse Hogan telling the club he wants a contract extension?? I would imagine they'd be talking about little else. Even the people who believe what GNF posted was true are having a go at him! Members Wing posts a conversation with Dangerfield where he confirms something we all knew to be true and he gets shot down as well. Ive never been privy to any real inside information, but if I was, I'd think twice before sharing.
  13. What timeframe to negotiate, draft, sign and announce a multi-million dollar contract would be more believable? Bearing in mind negotiations have not been ongoing...
  14. The 'signing in six months' isn't the revelation in GNF's post. People are repeating that timeframe as a means of discrediting his source and information. The fact that Jesse has officially told the club that he wants to sign on again is the new information that GNF has contributed to the discussion. To my knowledge, no media outlet has stated that Jesse has definitely informed the club that he wants an extension. This therefore is new and interesting formation.
  15. Heaven help anyone who has something interesting to share...
  16. Nah- you've just angered about three people who post over and over about it.
  17. I would still suggest that at his worst, he is a very good depth player. When you look at our injury list, it is in fact very small. At the end of the season, you don't cut everyone on the list who isn't best 22. At this stage, Jack isn't in the best 22 according to the coaches and selectors, he is however a consistent and high level contributor at Casey. I would be very surprised if we didn't retain him. (not to mention sad and disappointed)
  18. It all comes down to price. I wouldn't think either of them would be demanding high salaries and Dawes in particular is excellent around the club for the younger forwards and both provide a big body to take the pressure off the developing players.
  19. I would think there are countless threads where people can criticise Harvey; but credit where credit is due. Breaking a seemingly unbreakable record and still playing some very good footy. Congrats Boomer.
  20. I like that stability in the team and while I'm a big fan of Vanders, I'm disappointed that ANB has not been given a better run at it.
