  1. I remember going into Round 1 2015 I was feeling underwhelmed by what Brayshaw had to offer; not that he was going to be a poor player, just that I didn't see anything special. He shone that day and showed he is a gifted, natural footballer. You can't teach that; you can't train for that. Will be a gun.
  2. If this questions was posed yesterday, the answer would be: 'A source I spoke to yesterday said it was the number Fremantle has offered him; Suban and pick 3.'
  3. Watts is all ours to the end of 2019. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/teams/melbourne/jack-watts-says-easy-decision-to-stay-at-melbourne-after-signing-threeyear-contract/news-story/8115a8c7d95bc003a8f151fe3769f376
  4. Great to have Jesse sign on! A lot of credit to Josh Mahoney once again; he has this list humming along very, very nicely.
  5. Poor fella - every time a hit refresh on this account his followers are dropping. It takes some real bullpoo to jump the shark on Twitter.
  6. It's the kind of garbage that's virtually impossible to prove wrong. If Hogan signs, this clown can say: "I told you so, but his heart's not in it." If Hogan doesn't sign: "I told you so... his heart's not in it."
  7. Just read the Hogan news... I (literally) don't believe it. Apparently he wants to retire soon to 'travel'.
  8. "Stress fractures and will miss the entire 2014 season..."
  9. Would be very, very reluctant to trade him. He's a potentially A-Grade player and his currency at the moment is as low as it's ever going to get. We won't receive much back for a former first rounder with a dodgy thyroid.
  10. Exactly, so none of these twitter/facebook pages have proven themselves in the credibility stakes as yet. With that said, it's all part of there theatre and all part of the fun of this time of year. But for now, a few grains of salt need to issued around the place.
  11. Already extended to the end of 2018 - Petracca is one player I'm not even slightly worried about.
  12. There is no way Beveridge could have coached the 2014 Demons list to any success - loved 'me, but that list was shocking. He inherited a great young, quick, hard and talented list.
  13. I get what you're saying, but no, I'm a footy fan and love good football and good football stories. Very happy for the Doggies and all their supporters. Today isn't about us.
  14. I'm getting the feeling this is all stemming from one unsubstantiated Facebook post. No new facts or details have emerged as yet. Of course I hope I'm wrong.
  15. Schache will be a an absolute gun; loaded with talent, attacks, good pace and still has a lot of filling out to do. I, However, agree with the sentiments of some others here; I'd rather see a player like that stay. The competition suffers when a team is as far down in the doldrums as Brisbane (and we were for a time).
  16. All sounds pretty believable. Similar reports were made about Jeff Garlett;but he came a lot cheaper than Motlop would. .
  17. I'll miss Dennis; he genuinely enjoys football and has an enthusiasm for the game that can't be faked. There are a few 'career commentators' out there who clearly do not love the experience of calling the game.
  18. I confused... Are you saying you doubt contract talk will leak? What are the 'larger ramifications'??
  19. The danger is though that they are probably not getting the stars and gamebreakers that the early picks may otherwise get you. I'm not convinced that there are genuine A Graders not getting a game for GWS. Carlton/Silvagni are going all-in on the GWS offcuts.
  20. Yes and no... i believe if a player shows they are capable of good games then that is a level they can reach consistently with the right mindset, dedication and coaching. He is an inconsistent performer in that sometimes he's there to play, other days he barely shows up. At best, he could be a consistent and valuable contributor... but there are quite a few ifs and maybes in there.
  21. Yeah - no compensation for a DFA. What it does do is remove any strings from another club wanting to pick him up for free - it helps the player out.
  22. Three guys that tried their hearts out for the club. No surprises with Terlich and even Grimes; am a little surprised that Jones went as he seemed to be in the selectors top 26 or so players for most of the year. This is, I suppose, the price you pay for an improving list; you lose some guys who gave their all during some very tough years.
