so we are 3 and 6 after a tough start. I venture to say people would have taken that at the start of the season (having played the top 4 from last season)? How do we think we will go for the rest of the season? The good news is we only have 1 game we are 100% no chance in (away to Freo). Call me crazy but I no longer put the cats in that category especially after the weekend Other good news: we play St kilda twice, brisbane at home, carlton, and dogs again I personally think we can win 6 of the next 13 at least. Given we have beaten GC, Tiges and Dogs (all fairly convinvingly) I think we roughly know our level. Given that, I reckon we are a shout in the 2 games against the pies and we will win one of them. When Tyson, Viney, Salem are back firing I think we could go on a roll and maybe...... dare I say it..... win two games in a row!!! Go Dees!! I'll be there on Monday screaming my guts out
-
MFC have handled him very well so far. avoided publicity as much as possible with signing him up early. managed his injuries conservatively Jesse would be thinking in 2-3 years of Viney, Salem, Tyson, Petracca, Brayshaw, Stretch serving goals up to him on a platter. Sign him up for 12 years! I'll put in a few bob if it helps!

I disagree. its not just about the 4 guys in the centre. When there are several links in the chain of the 18 on the ground that are poor and not even getting a touch that makes the whole team look terrible. We should not be reliant on 3 first year players, we have enouigh talent in the team to be competative

I'm offended as a football fan that the media are driving this racist angle. No one else in the comp gets booed based on the colour of their skin, why is goodes different? He gets booed like heaps of players do that are arrogant, get paid too many soft free kicks and just seems like a bit of a di-ck.

Brayshaw Garland Hogan Pederson Spenser Grimes

I'm hurting too but are people really that surprised? Port are the third best team in the league and we are... Still bottom four material.
-
Our kicking skills are so much better than last year!
-
I know. But the trouble is they're a significantly better team than us Go dees
-
Can't see port losing today. At 3-5 it's desperate times for them. And I think they'll just beat us. Would be amazing if we won though!!

No change keep Viney/Jetta/Tyson fresh for QB. smash em on the track in the meantime
-
Really want to wait on Tyson. He hasn't looked the player he was last year so I'd give him as long as he needs to be 100% not 95%
-
Sounds like excuses to me. We really only have three or four important players out that are in our top 12 players. There are several clubs worse off that are missing key players. North, WC, GC etc what if T Mac, Jones etc were injured? Jt dropped last year, Tracca could be anything but hasnt played a game so you cannot say he is best 22 The Team need to suck it up
-
Far out that is pathetic from Watts if true. Asking to be dropped, has anyone ever done that before? No competitive footballer with any self respect would do that. Just give it away jack.
-
what other guns have we got in the 2nds that you guys would bring in? Jamar does not deserve to come back in Watts has been rubbish and soft and also desreves it

Don't agree jamar is a rest, surely the website would mention that? Pity toump and stretch come in without dominating at vfl but I guess we are struggling at the moment. Sydney have a very strong team. This could get messy

I heard Bell might be having some issues but havent heard of any others. Are there players with brain damage, ongoing issues I dont know about. who? just wondering
-
The mrp has been significantly better this year. So many rubbish inconsistent calls last year. Brisbane should appeal and get May off. I didn't see much wrong with his bump, the fact a player us injured does dictate the punishment for me I still don't like this 3 down to 2 early plea BS. If it's a two offence, it's 2 weeks. That's it. Call it like it is

Essendon VFL v Casey Scorpions - Round 3
DubDee replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
What I think Roosey is thinking is that Toumpas' development is the most important thing at the moment. It was telling that he wasnt even named in the emergencies - and Stretch was. I reckon they are giving him 8-10 weeks at vfl and if he can start dominating week in week out, he will get in the ones and stay there. So then the question is, who was playing better than Mckenzie at casey? riley, jones? . much of a muchness -
Yep, no-one as neutral in the media as Eddie. Far out. possibly the biased and conflicted man in sport!
-
Have a cup of tea and a lie down Jesse. Garry works in the media so he must speak the truth. Would you prefer he say - well the hawks have got the dees and they are one of the best teams going around? He wouldn't be taken seriously.
-
80 to 40 pt easy win for the dockers coming up. Hope I'm wrong
-
Totally different incidents. Hodge off the ball blatant hit. Has to be 3 you'd think Lewis late to contest. 1 week I'd reckon
-
Good to see Toump not considered. He needs to properly develop all parts if his game at vfl level. Once his confidence and hardness increase and he is dominating games, he will be back in Pederson will make the 22 I reckon. Ps check out freos extended bench. Would mind having that sort of depth. I have a feel sandi will be a late withdrawal for Hannath

The Rising Star Thread - Congratulations Jesse Hogan!
DubDee replied to Nascent's topic in Melbourne Demons
Brayshaw leading the club our tackles having only played ~60% game time all up. What a gun VDB is 22 Hogan will get nominated this week for sure -
Any idea on the crowd for those not there?
